Desperate For Stable Play and Sexlab Fun

Excuse me for not having read through all the pages of the thread. If TESEdit cannot open, there is a fundamental problem in the load order or in a mod. Almost impossible to say which. Also, I'm a manual modder and don't use NMM or MO. This is more painful, but gives me more control over the install.

When I run into such bad stability issues (and I have on a couple of occasions) I start by making a clean save - dismiss all followers, get into an empty vanilla location, unequip all items and wait till the camera goes into auto-rotate. Save the game, open the config menu, take screenshots of the mod order or write it down, then untick every one (every single one, not just SL related) except USLEEP and vanilla files.

Run the game, click through the warnings, load the save (if needed start with coc qasmoke then load), wait till the camera goes into auto-rotate and then save again. If the save does not load at all (it is possible) then once the game crashes manually clean the save. If you managed to load it and then make an unmodded save, backup both this save and the one you made with the mods active. Now clean both the saves using your choice of tool, and see if you can open either save without CTD.

Once you pass this test and get it somewhat stable, start putting your mods back but don't load them all at once. Go in blocks - essential and gameplay mods 1st, character creation second, and so on. Play through a couple of quests to get a feel for stability. You will be able to identify the mod causing it (if it indeed a mod, it might be a corrupted mesh or a bad follower script). I had a playthrough that was my testbed for Skyrim modding - at one point I couldn't even enter a city without crashing. I got fed up and decided on this brute force approach, and it is now the most stable save I have.

I mean, Alternate start with hearthfire support... It is the title of the mod lol . But I think that is the old one so it is kind of moot now..

Let's assume it is a skeleton / body issue. ( I know you said it isn't but ... better safe plus this gives us a starting point)

IF it is the skeleton / body then it isn't just the skeleton you have to look at. Let's say for example, you install a bunch of UUNP HDT stuff but you forget to install a UUNP HDT body ... Now the focus here is that HDT Part....

IF the skeleton is missing HDT nodes then any armor that is placed on the skeleton should cause it to crash. The thing is ... The skeleton can still BE HDT ( and installed right ) and you can still crash because the body meshes are not HDT. Now oddly, I have used unp BBP fine with an HDT body and skeleton so ...ya...

I am not sure what body / skeleton you are using so I am at a loss at this point what to recommend but a few things to keep in mind.

When installing the XPMSE skeleton ... ONLY install the HDT rig if your using HDT. otherwise install the bbp options. Likewise, if you ARE using HDT then you want the one specifically labeled ( read the text in the left panel ) for HDT physics. Otherwise it can cause issues like mentioned above.

Re-install your body mod too.

Make sure there are no conflicts between the skeleton and other mods.

Make sure there are no conflicts with your Body mod ... ( unless you know it won't mess with the HDT mesh ). There will be some conflicts here if you use things like.. seductive lisp... eye mods.. etc.. so this one is kind of tricky to pinpoint but the ideal is that the HDT body mesh remain unaltered.

The only other thing that could be causing problems is there is a fragment of a mod somewhere that is preventing the alternate start from ...well..starting. But if your using MO then that shouldn't be the case... heck if your using NMM properly it shouldn't be the case.

I tend to use a body build similar to yours. When installing the skeleton I use HDT and the UNPB body installer. Then use the Working Vagina mod for skin textures and working vagina but dont install the skeletons in that mod since I have my own set up. I'll try again and see what happens.

There is a problem.. UNPB is NOT compatible with HDT. I am not saying it is the problem but... Sure it can work with armors as I mentioned above but ..you need an HDT Specific body mesh. Although, to be honest... if you want a working Vajayjay then your probably installing the body mesh from the All in one anyway....

The all in one requires the latest XPMSE skeleton. What is offered in the all in one is skeletons for other things... like creatures etc to add collision to them. so its safe to let it install everything. If your using MO if you find it does indeed mess with your setup then you can simply go in and hide the conflicting files and be done with it.

Paud's method does work but you wont catch me not using MO at this point lol .... There comes a time when your running 400 mods ( 255 active, the rest not) when you are like....Nope... I would go nuts if I did it by hand...

Hrm... I don't have that issue with crashing when using the bed.... Does it even make it to the loading screen?

Not sure HOW this could be the problem but did you run FNIS after you added any mods?

is Alternate start near the bottom of the load order?

are you using alternate Start with Hearthfire support? I hear it needs multiple Adoptions mod ....

One thing you can do is load Alternate Start in Tes5edit and apply the conflict filter ... see if any other mod is causing problems with it.

I tried the conflict filter for Alternate start is it shows Update, Dawnguard and Hearthfires after running the filter. Kind of made me scratch my head.

I also did TES5edit and cleaned all the mods that needed cleaning through Loot, used Loot to sort all the mods, then ran reinstalled my skeleton, installed the body mod (Animated Vagina) made sure they didn't conflict, Ran loot again, ran FNIS again, managed my overwrites THEN tried again. *Phew...*

If I use a load that is missing a mod and gives an indicator it loads fine. If not instant crash. If I load into the game using the missing mod indication it works. Bring up the map it crashes. Use Alternate Start bed instantly crashes.

Ran the game without Alternate Start and the game loaded up like "normal" had a good laugh watching the narration occur like usual but seeing the wagon flip around like inside a tornado about a couple hundred times but was unable to make it to the character creation screen due to the carriage pathing (Flopping around) This leads me to believe that there has to be something wrong with Alternate Start. I will reinstall the mod over again and see what happens but this is my assumption that this mod is the culprit because technically I was in the Skyrim world and it did not crash.

Update: Reinstalled the mod ran the option "Escape from this cell" made it to the outdoor world and crashed. Loading saves crashes the game and opening the map crashes the gameBeen at this for 3 hours so I think it's time to call it a night. Thank you all for the information and updates they may not have solved the problem I have but enlightened me on other future problems that I may be able to solve on my own when the time comes. I'll post a load order and ran a crash dump analysis below to see if this helps.

The wagon flopping around is caused by HDT .... Also .. SChlongs of skyrim has been directly linked to twister wagons...during the vanilla start.

Also... That crash dump says your using an unknown installation of windows 10 >.> granted I am not very good at reading Crash dumps so I could be wrong.... This might sound like a stupid question... forgive me if it does.. but have you tried LAL without the other two addons? Deviant and beginnings...

As a side note... are you using the correct Deviant start?

on that note.. This is the only one I could find http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/586-alternate-start-live-a-deviant-life-resurrection-8232014/ and it is meant for 2.5 of LAL ONLY... so you might have to do without on that mod.

Edit: I hear immserslave does what Deviant start did and is a lot more up to date...

Edit - Edit: From what I can tell about that crash dump tho... You ran out of memory...or at least.. something was sending bad call outs to access it.

EDIT AGAIN SIGH: Ok so While the Deviant life can be used with later versions of LAL it is so far behind ( last updated in 2014) that all the mods it relies on has been updated a bunch of times.. enough times to probably break something. I stand by saying you should use immerslave or something else and remove Deviant life from your list.

Things being outdated is why I am hesitant to use the mod Wyrmstooth. Based on when it was last updated ( the version I got sitting around 1.16) it could cause more harm then good if I install it

Why do you use USKP? You have all three dlc yea? so why not use USLEEP?

RND has a usleep patch on the nexus... So does RS children .. if that is the mod that is RSkyrimchildren

Loverscomfort is also really outdated.

Good morning and thank you for the response and patience. I dont use the legendary patch because I bought all the DLC's separate and not the actual legendary edition of the game because of this it will conflict with some mods if I use the legendary patch which other patches will state I need USKP. So in this situation using the 4 unofficial patches lets me use all the mods I want while the legendary one locks them out. Dont know why but that's what it does.

I use the newer version of loverscomfort it just comes up that way by default.

As for LAL on it's own, yes I have tried it by itself and it crashed still.

As for the windows thing not sure why it may possibly show unknown bought a legit copy when I built this PC.

Update: It took me another 2 hours but I think I finally got it working. I can load saved games, open my map and use LAL and go into the Skyrim world without any crashes. I would use ENB's but I tried a couple which lead to more problems and weird errors so I will refrain from using them for a while. All in all I got it to work finally. Thank you all for the support and thank you for your patience/me kind of taking over this forum the last day and a half.

You don't have to have bought the legendary edition to use USLEEP. You just need all the DLCs. At least... that is what I have been hearing.

I only saw two mods needing patched in your load order and there are USLEEP patches for them ..... I guess I over looked something, sorry bout that.

ENB's are actually easy to install. Most people forget to tweak the ini so there is no conflict which can cause artifacting and weird visual stuff...

I currently use Vivid Weathers ( it has an ENB you can download with it and a guide on tweaking the INI to avoid issues )

I found I wasn't too thrilled with the ENB For it but because it had a guide for the ini tweaks it made it easier to switch to Vividian ENB. ( compatible with Vivid Weathers )

Do you at least have ENBoost installed? Not sure if it is needed with crash fixes but it can't hurt to have it none the less.

Not sure I understand the question.

Generally, Texture quality isn't something you can just adjust.... Textures come in variations... 500, 1024, 2048 ( this is considered High quality ) and ultra which is around 4k.. and then the "wtf was I thinking downloading 8k textures" ....

MO can't change those... you decide when you install the texture what "quality" your going for ....

I of course might be misunderstanding so if it is hard for you to explain just point me to the follower.. and where it says " medium texture setup" and hopefully I can figure it out.

This works for me when I selet medium textures. I need to know how to change it in the ini for mod organizer since when I change it in the gui setup and copy the ini in the skyrim directory and paste it screws up other settings in the mod organizer.

This might sound like a stupid question... forgive me if it does.. but have you tried LAL without the other two addons? Deviant and beginnings...

As a side note... are you using the correct Deviant start?

on that note.. This is the only one I could find http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/586-alternate-start-live-a-deviant-life-resurrection-8232014/ and it is meant for 2.5 of LAL ONLY... so you might have to do without on that mod.

Edit: I hear immserslave does what Deviant start did and is a lot more up to date...

Edit - Edit: From what I can tell about that crash dump tho... You ran out of memory...or at least.. something was sending bad call outs to access it.

EDIT AGAIN SIGH: Ok so While the Deviant life can be used with later versions of LAL it is so far behind ( last updated in 2014) that all the mods it relies on has been updated a bunch of times.. enough times to probably break something. I stand by saying you should use immerslave or something else and remove Deviant life from your list.

Things being outdated is why I am hesitant to use the mod Wyrmstooth. Based on when it was last updated ( the version I got sitting around 1.16) it could cause more harm then good if I install it

Caused by hdt not necessarily sos in general. I never used sos before and got that just having hdt installed for high heel use without bbp bodies in the past.

The author of that mod is offering a generic blanket solution by adjusting the graphics settings by launcher. Honestly I wouldn't do that because it tends to mess up other settings you might have manually put in....

The problem your MO is kicking back is that it believes the Monitor resolution set in the launcher is incorrect for what your graphic card supports. can you take a screenshot of the wierd hair and post it? I might be able to get a more direct solution to the problem. In the mean time... You can do a few things, lower the resolution in the launcher and try to port it over again ... You can manually cut and copy the sections that change... longer to do ...

Honestly it should work unless your forgetting to actually copy the resolution section ( I think it is under display where it mentioned Height and Width or whatever.)

I managed to fix it I tried like 3 workarounds online all failed I found what worked was to close out mo and start up gui skyle set my setting and then go into mo folder profile delete ini and copy paste ini from skyrim default folder and tah duh open mo and it regenerates the ini that you placed and works fine. It had to be turn on and off. You know the old saying "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" lol IT Crowd XD

Though I found out follow me for sex doesn't work with my game for some reason I go to start sex it loads to load screen sticks me up high in the air and drops me to my death XD LAUGHED SO HARD! NAKEAD DEATH!

The problem with replacing Ini file is that most often the ini file in MO has been tweaked. So your basically putting in a default INI with no tweaks. If you hadn't tweaked your inis then you are going to run in to issues sooner or later.

Right, what mod is the one that has follow me for smexy time? If it Amerous adventures it could be an install for one of the three variations that isn't supported with your setup, I.E He has one specific for Sexlab, Osex, and I guess a custom one for him? anyway.. I found that I had installed the wrong one and it would black out the screen, give me a nice description and then that was it... Had to install the right one heh.

Whatever mod that is from might need to be reinstalled or have the load order adjusted.

I will admit that I did not have a fall to your Death moment so far... Well there was the worm hole generators in WoW but that is a different game...

So the hair is still messing up?

*Scratches head* Thought you had fixed it after the whole INI incident ...lol.. The hair problem in the screenshot looks like a shader issue. something to do with shadows.

Not sure there is a fix without trying to adjust the shadows ... is it the only hair doing it? Are you in love with his hair? there could be a body /hair replacer for him. I would look but I have to leave soon and wont be back for a couple of hours.

Edit: What settings have you tried? I don't think changing the settings will really help here but the higher the settings the higher the shadow resolution so it might help...

I guess you could try installing the hair pack and placing it below the follower... if the Folder hierarchy is the same it might use the hair's meshes / textures and stuff .... Just an idea.. not sure if it will work but any idea might be a good one right?

Of course if that works you can then drag the hair back in to the follower unless it is a BSA... if it is a BSA then the above would be the only way it could work unless you want to unpack the BSA and then repack it with the hair meshes / textures. But let's not get a head of ourselves... first lets see if it even works.

Oh his hair works fine with the ini tweaks but I'm wondering if your right about not tweaking textures in ini. I don't want to mess my game up. Well I already replaced his body from default even fix the penis whole patch issue in sos. I'm just wondering how to fix him and default back over. I could change his hair. The hair pack has the same issue though.

The simple solution would be to use the launcher ini and redo the tweaks to the ini you might have done before hand. For example, making adjustments to water, shadow resolutions and such ( I am going by the tweaks recommended by the STEP Guide as they are the ones I am using )

So I have a working approach the japanese version translated it doesn't need attract I was wondering since it only depends on sexlab and aroused (since there is a rape option in there does it work on its own?) And/or do I need rape frameworks set up? Well I guess the question is in the older versions if you denied someone they could possibly rape your character. I don't want to install a rape mod since it seems like this covers it. has it worked for anyone else in the past? And I guess the question is how does it work/look like do they use a spell on you or something?

Honestly, Between Cursed loot, SD+ and Defeat..... Well lets just put it this way... I had to restart my orc character because she was invited in to Gurder and Hod's place and my snooping through drawers netted me a sticky situation. Everywhere I went people were *cough* participating in my character's training...Even though she didn't want any of that lol...

There is no " Rape " framework so to speak ... Unless your following one of the multiple slavery mods out there....Either the mod includes it or it doesn't.

Also installing another mod that has rape scenarios in it won't mess with any other mod... usually. There are a few exceptions but it is easy enough to toggle things in mcm to get them to play nice. Cursed loot is the closest I have come to a framework in my on plays, it has options for Captured Dreams, SD+ ( though it might take some tweaking to get em to play nice ) Estrus stuff... And defeat is handy if you need to kill someone or you know... "get rid of someone' because you can jusst toss em in a bag and carry em off when no one is looking.

The only problem I am currently having is ... one of these mods has a paralyze spell... Its supposed to drop you... they rob you of your stuff and triggers one of a few mods installed .... buuut I get left there... on the ground... to starve to death lmao. I will probably figure it out later ...when I am more inclined to as it happens so rarely to be bothersome.

in short, you should be fine to install other mods of that particular flavor ... or not.

How rape scenarios usually work is tricky, More nasty Critters uses a kind of spell ( an effect applied to an actor) but not an actual spell in game...

Some are simply just coded script that triggers putting you in an animation. There IS usually some effect applied to a character though.. specially if it involves changing textures. Of course this is probably not relevant to the question.... No, you won't be hit by a " Bend over and grin heh" spell.( Edit: There are some mods out there with this kind of spell....cough estrus...cough... ) You will more than likely find you are unable to move... and then an animation will start. ( sometimes you will get notified what animation will start in the upper left if you have notifications toggled on in sexlab and certain other mods.)

Cursed loot is the closest I have come to a framework in my on plays, it has options for Captured Dreams, SD+ ( though it might take some tweaking to get em to play nice ) Estrus stuff... And defeat is handy if you need to kill someone or you know... "get rid of someone' because you can jusst toss em in a bag and carry em off when no one is looking.

The only problem I am currently having is ... one of these mods has a paralyze spell... Its supposed to drop you... they rob you of your stuff and triggers one of a few mods installed .... buuut I get left there... on the ground... to starve to death lmao. I will probably figure it out later ...when I am more inclined to as it happens so rarely to be bothersome.

in short, you should be fine to install other mods of that particular flavor ... or not.

How rape scenarios usually work is tricky, More nasty Critters uses a kind of spell ( an effect applied to an actor) but not an actual spell in game...

Some are simply just coded script that triggers putting you in an animation. There IS usually some effect applied to a character though.. specially if it involves changing textures. Of course this is probably not relevant to the question.... No, you won't be hit by a " Bend over and grin heh" spell.( Edit: There are some mods out there with this kind of spell....cough estrus...cough... ) You will more than likely find you are unable to move... and then an animation will start. ( sometimes you will get notified what animation will start in the upper left if you have notifications toggled on in sexlab and certain other mods.)

I was to hasty it wasn't follow me that glitched it was osa lol I was looking through the menus trying to learn stuff and its going hey wire lol. Everything from mounting animations wrong to throwing people across the sky lol XD

hmm never used that mod myself....lower it in your load order? is Sexlab and osa compatable?
