galgat Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 I got to wondering, and this has probably been asked. 1. Would it be best to turn all sexlab content off when starting a new game, and then turn it on after you have cleared Helgen, and made it to Riverwood ? 2. Or would it be best to turn everything on that you intend to use for your Play through, at the very beginning before clicking on New Game ?
Unrobed Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Best is to use Alternative Start or Skyrim Unbound. But if you dont like to use them its better to wait for you got outside of helgen!
RitualClarity Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 The start has given some people problems with all the mods active. I would try to have as much of a clean start as possible past Helgan then start to turn on mods. This way if something is wrong with a mod you can remove or update that one and then move from that point and not have to do the entire cart. That or alternate start if you like. Edit.. Ark of Truth Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 If you are not using Alternative Start mods when wait until you clear Helgen and get to Riverwood. As some mods can break the game and Alduin won't turn up leaving you bugged in the chopping block. I have had this happen before with a modded game. If you are going to be using Alternative Start mods then you can just leave everything turned on.
galgat Posted November 29, 2016 Author Posted November 29, 2016 1. I have tried it both way's, Have yet to actually have a problem that I could put my finger on, and say this was caused because I left that mod on. 2. But I think you are right, and it would be best to start the game with as little as possible as far as mods are concerned.. 3. I do like to keep RaceMenu active, so I can pick a quick preset I like. also kind of like having AdditemMenu active at the start, and some of my favorite clothing, and armor mods. I think it might be best to have Sexlab, and zaz, and any mod that use's them off ( and any large add on quests, like for example "The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal ". What do you all think about that ? EDIT what I am having doubts about is USLEEP, the moment I activate it My log files become tremendous in size. Most of this size is in warnings. (Which as I understand it are for the most part harmless), but the shear size increase of the log's concerns me.
