I am SUCH a fan of the resident evil movie series. To the point of being a drooling fanboy....I admit it. This latest one looks pretty damn cool!

Lol xD I've been a fan ever since I played the first Resident Evil Game :D

Awesome, it looks like it takes up at some point right where the last one left off! And it's directed by Paul W.S. Anderson who did the fist and last ones, which were my two favorites of the series.

I wanna be a zombie extra and have Milla Jovovich grab under my boobs (or in my case, being a boy...

I've never really been a fan of the movies (quiet the opposite), the only way to appreciate them was to completly erase from my memory the games' story.

I'm even still playing the 2 right now and movie after movie I still think it would have been so much better if they followed the games scenario.

Otherwise still looks like a good entertaining show.

(and they can't make Wesker any worse now, can't they ? e_e )

I agree, I hate that the movies differ so greatly from the games. Not to mention that the scripts are quite weak and mostly just involve Alice kicking ass. That's just crap.

Also we needs some Leon. Alice is hot and all but the way they handled her after the first movie is just crap. The first movie was good, but everything else has been terrible. Sure it has some redeeming qualities, but not much.

Poopers, do you really want the movies and games doing the same plots with the same characters??? What's the point in that? I like that Alice is never a character in the games yet central to the movies. And if there were no Milla Jovovich... I dunno.

Poopers, these are not the kinds of movies one is supposed to analyze like a high brow film critic. I can see why many people don't like the films, but their reasons often show that they miss the point as to why others do like them. It's like hearing why a porn movie sucked from a film critic who obviously just doesn't get off on porn.

Well I would agree that the first movie was by far the best. I would rate it as freaking epic personally but that is just me. The others were weaker but for me still entertaining due to my zombie fetish. If you look at them through the "B" movie filter then they are just fine.

Besides, how could they possibly top the first one? Very few series movies are as good with the sequels for that matter.

Now having said that....I would LOVE to see a reboot made exactly like the games!!!!! Let's just not let bioware write the script....:P

The fact is that it had at one point the potential to be so much more than just "nicely made horror fighting scene".

That's the weak point, The movie could be as good and even better with another actress, here she's not the "main pillar".

And for the copy/pasta> it's been done for decades with novels that some consider to be the non animated version of video games so why not for videogames ? ^^

Well, the "action" type actresses are pretty limited. I would not have wanted to see Angelina Jolie in the role. I don't think Milla Jovovich did a bad job per say, but the fault likely lies with the script writers and directors.

What actress where you thinking should have played the part?

Been a fan ever since the first one. Also the game series which I'm excited about its 6th release.

My expression on RE:E's trailer :

First the sony teaser : O_O

Second ada reveal : O_O YEAH!

Third finally shown wesker still alive : *gets blown away off the chair*

When I and my best bro was still kids(Well,I think I am still a kid now:P), we were fans of Milla.

Man, she was so hot in the Fifth Element.( Surely she's still beautiful right now.)

Although I am a fan of the R.E. game series, I don't care if the movie plot is the same as the game, just want to see Milla shooting zombies.

Now no matter this movies series is good or not, it is my must-See movies with my best bro.

Nor would I want to see Milla as Laura Croft. Angelina was cast well for that part. Milla was cast well for RE. Those of us who tend to like RE also like Milla in her part so it all works perfectly. Don't let others start making you question what you already liked.

Ever notice that the actors and actresses who are considered to be the best are actually just over acting and exaggerating how most people really act? It's like stage theater but different. Stage actors do lots of tricks to convey more to a large audience, sometimes wearing more make-up that would otherwise be scary up close or talking louder so the back row can hear. In movies, we can get close ups and such, but they still over act in order to convey more. Then we make fun of "bad" actors who probably really act that way in real life.

Hah' date=' yeah, no, BioWare and Resident Evil would be Dragon Age! And that's best kept separate, for sure.

I'm not usually into most zombie movies nor games. RE is my big exception!

If RE aspired to be something different, I'd be disappointed. I watch them for being what they are, as is. Try adding a deep story with deep characters and they'd be selling out to the artsy snobs who pretend to be deeper than they are. Did I mention how much I hate film snobs? Such shallow people.

As for Milla, we all have people we like or don't like seeing. So that's fine. But try to understand what you're saying to the fans. Risky, too, like every time they switch to a new James Bond actor. I, for one, don't like the recent casting for Bond. He's good in other things, but he's no James Bond for this fanboy. So I'm done with JB for now.

And for the copy/pasta> it's been done for decades with novels that some consider to be the non animated version of video games so why not for videogames ? ^^

Seems like Hollywood just recycles scripts every decade. Or' date=' they turn a book into a movie. Now, it's games, too.

Really, the reason for me is a lack of reason. I can see why a non graphic novel may become a movie, so you can see what you read about, I suppose. But games today are already on par with movies in many ways. The quality is sometimes better in movies (and sometimes actually better in games, lol) so I don't see the point in doing a remake of something I just played.

There's also the spoiler factor that comes from copying.

There's something special and cool about having nostalgia for an actor or actress over their career. Milla is one of those for me, too.

Did you like Ultraviolet??? I love the visuals so much I sometimes just let it play on my screen while I'm in my room doing other stuff.

When I first saw it, I think I was expecting a different kind of movie or something and so the part when she's riding up buildings on her motorcycle my mood soured the rest. But then maybe a year later, I was at a bar with friends and Ultraviolet was playing on a big screen facing us. I couldn't stop watching! My eyes kept falling back to it, ignoring my friends. None of them were really into it, but I later got a copy for home and private viewing.

After this post I saw you added a cool vid to yours! Awesome! Makes me wanna maybe watch it again tonight. Oh, that rooftop scene, where she's using their sunglasses against them by seeing reflections within reflections of where everybody is at and her hyper senses to hear their hearts beating and the nervous guy who will shoot first, then takes them all out by moving/positioning so that they all end up just shooting each other, so sweet and beautiful that scene.
