MikeyD28 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I was told in another thread a few months ago that I had two many follower mods and mods that add NPCs and it was probably slowing my game down. It was pointed out that many follower mods add them to the same inn sometimes which I have noticed. So is the main issue with having too many follower mods just a general issue or is it because of having too many spawning in the same inn? Meaning if I make sure that I don't choose too many mods where the follower is being spawned at the same place would that reduce the chances of it putting a strain on my system when going into an inn? I'm going to add a list of my follower mods and NPC adding mods in spoiler tags below so someone can look at it and give me a good idea. Before you look at the list, keep in mind that quite a few of these have a customizer, too. So while it may look like a huge list of followers, they technically only add about 30 followers (which may still be huge actually) INIGOHothShandar (Standalone HD Male Redguard Follower) Ranger Tris FollowerCLover Followerpia followerPia and Cher - standalone followersCompanion Selene Kate - Kiss MeFollower-Horora UNPB-UNP-CBBE patchFollower-Horora UNPB-UNP-CBBENilaVeena the Punisher_CBBEThe Karlov Brood - Vampire FollowersSwordwoman Eleonora - Standalone Female Follower CBBE_UNPSunniva - Nord Archer - Standalone FollowerStandalone Follower OneanSeranaholic Customizer - CBBESeranaholicPretty woodelf follower Liliath plus variantsPretty Assassin Companion AriNara Follower UNP UNPB SeveNBase CBBEMoniko the Tattooed BeautyMindi Badweyn Customizer - CBBEMindi Badweyn a Nord FollowerMeera Customizer - CBBEMeera - Standalone FollowerMango Follower Customizer - CBBEMango FollowerJeri - twins standalone followersBuxom Wench Yuriana -Tank Healer Support Follower-Giada - twins standalone followersBarbarian Sunya Follower Here's the NPC mods: Populated Skyrim HELL EDITION OBIS - Organized Bandits In Skyrim Judgment Wenches Immersive Wenches Hateful Wenches Forgotten Wenches Deadly Wenches Immersive Patrols Bijin Wives Customizer - CBBEBijin WivesBijin Warmaidens Customizer - CBBEBijin WarmaidensBijin NPCs Customizer - CBBEBijin NPCs Thanks for any help with this!
ANGRYWOLVERINE Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 It is a general issue. Too many followers if you have a weak pc can overload your vram.if you are running LL stuff that uses a lot of scripts that will slow it down even more. So if you have a weak pc you should limit your number of followers in the game.

I don't think it is, but even if it's not I wasn't sure how good that was for running a game with a lot of follower mods. Also, yeah I run SL Framework, SL Defeat, about 6 SLAL animation packs, ZaZ Pack, SLEN, PaySexCrime, SexWithThieves and maybe one or two others off the top of my head.
azoth1267 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Pc is fine, but its still an issue with oldrim due to the limits of the engine/software, SE being 64bit should be much much better but its going to be a while before its up to snuff with oldrim mod content (if it ever even gets there). There is a limit to what you can actually render/run/script, as to what the cut off is... not sure honestly (aside from vram limit). You can patch things and merge files and do a really good job of cleaning things up like most heavy modders do, but there is only so much that the engine will run before failure. Long and obvious story short, the more mods/followers/changes you have the less stable everything is. That said, in the list of mods you give, it looks like you might be having more issues with the massive amount of NPCs that you are trying to spawn, wenches/OBIS/etc will be hell on any oldrim loadout regardless of your pc specs. Lets hope that SE gets all the old mods we know and love sooner rather than later... would be nice to play without crashing every few min.

Mator smash might help him if he knew how to do it.That would help get things working a lot more smoothly. I don't know how to use it.I find it too confusing in its current form. The tc can go and read about it.Watch Mator's youtube video on it and see if he wants to give it a try.
MikeyD28 Posted November 13, 2016 Author Posted November 13, 2016 Thanks! I'll check out mator's video. Already bookmarked it!
buglover Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 As I just found out solving another issue, there is a cap on how many npcs the game will allow to use AI at any given time. Having 30 followers exceeds the limit (20 is the limit). Use the Artificial Intelligence Limit Increaser mod by TonyCubed2 to increase the limit 100. Bug
