cleavagesweat Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 is there a way to make the bijin females use the player default female body? is it simply replacing female .dds or wutever files in the actor/character folder or more complicated? thanx
BillBellochek Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 If you build your body with Bodyslide, then overwrite the body(s) included in Bijin's mods with your body, then they'll use the same body as your character. For Bijin NPC's you'd need to open the mod and replace the files in "meshes\actors\character\Bijin NPCs" For Bijin Warmaidens you'd need to open the mod and replace the files in "meshes\actors\character\Bijin Warmaidens" Bijin Wives is a little more tedious since you'll have to go to "meshes\actors\character\" then replace the bodies in each NPCs folder. (i.e. Camilla, Sylgja, Taarie, Temba, and Ysolda)

Okay, so the Bijin mod file you downloaded from Nexus has an esp, and 2 folders; one folder named textures and the other folder named meshes. So just to make sure I don't lose you with my descriptions, I'll ask a question to try to get us on the same page. What mod manager do you use? NMM, MO, Manual?

Got called into work at 4am this morning and it was a long day. Anyway, I'll try to talk you through the process you're going to need to do to. ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------ First thing, make sure you open Bodyslide and build your characters body (the same body you want your Bijin characters to have). Now, NMM will install all your mods to your Skyrim location. So go to this directory on your computer: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim" This is your Skyrim's base installation, just avoid making any changes I don't tell you, unless you're sure what you're doing. So to be safe we're going to make a backup of the files from Bijin's mods, just in case something goes wrong. So we're going to start by making a folder on your desktop named "Bijin Backup". Next, from your Skyrim folder, go to: "Data\meshes\actors\character" Now COPY and PASTE these folders into the "Bijin Backup" folder we just made. "Bijin Warmaidens" "Bijin NPCs" "Bijin Wives" ------------------------------------------------------ Since you've already built your body in Bodyslide, go to this location from your Skyrim folder "Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets" Now the files you're going to want are: femalebody_0.nif femalebody_1.nif femalefeet_0.nif femalefeet_1.nif femalehands_0.nif femalehands_1.nif So COPY these files and PASTE them onto your desktop so we can get to them quickly. ------------------------------------------------------ Now, go back to your Skyrim folder: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim" From here you'll need to put those files you copied into the Bijin mods. I'll go over what to do for each of Bijin's mods so that there's as little guesswork as possible for you. ------------------------------------------------------ Bijin Warmaidens: From your Skyrim folder, go to: "Data\meshes\actors\character\Bijin Warmaidens". Now PASTE the files you copied to your desktop into this folder and CONFIRM THE OVERWRITES. ------------------------------------------------------ Bijin NPCs: From your Skyrim folder, go to: "Data\meshes\actors\character\Bijin NPCs". Again, PASTE the files you copied to your desktop into this folder and CONFIRM THE OVERWRITES. ------------------------------------------------------ Bijin Wives: From your Skyrim folder, go to: "Data\meshes\actors\character\Bijin Wives". Again, PASTE the files you copied to your desktop into this folder and CONFIRM THE OVERWRITES. ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------ Now if you followed this exactly as I laid it out, your Bijin characters should have the same body that your character has. Once you test it out in-game and see that everything is working, you can remove the files from your desktop. You'll also have to do this same process any time you want to change the Bijin character's bodies, but now you can since you know how.
7th Sinner Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Bijin Wives: This one is a little more complex because you're going to have to paste the files into each Wive's folder. So from your Skyrim folder, go to: "Data\meshes\actors\character". Now you're going to probably see a lot of folder with names of various NPCs and such. The only folders we care about are: Camila , Sylgja , Taarie , Temba , Ysolda In the latest Bijin Wives update this mod got it's own body meshes folder for all npcs, so you don't need to replace them one by one. Just change the meshes here:

cleavagesweat Posted November 11, 2016 Author Posted November 11, 2016 couple things... thanks for all the tips! does anyone know where the mesh folder for this mod is? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/70547/? (Ordinary Women) - I can't seem to ID it in the folder (see below)
7th Sinner Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Look for 'Neus' folder here, I highlighted it for you:Open this folder and scroll down, you'll find body meshes at the bottom.

cleavagesweat Posted November 11, 2016 Author Posted November 11, 2016 if I replaced the mods textures with the default player textures I wud get a discolored neck seam right? would the game automatically blend it?
7th Sinner Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I wouldn't recommend replacing textures in NPC overhauls. NPC's will end up looking much different than expected, not to mention neck seams, yes.

NNS10 Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 What about editing the ESP to use the default mesh? Then we'd only have to do this once and not for every time we change body shapes. Is it just a matter of deleting the WNAM field on each NPC record in the Bijin esps?
allsunday Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 This thread from just last month already covered all of this. My response is about editing the textures but farther below you will see a user named Blazeflow talk about how to change the body mesh. Good luck!https://www.loverslab.com/topic/93482-how-do-i-customize-each-individual-bijin-character/
Mojo144 Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 Just FYI someone posted a mod on Nexus a few days ago that takes care of this. Check it out!https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16399
