Vuulgar Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I was also getting CTD very regularly and have possibly located a fix for that by turning on triple buffering in my Nvidia software but I have not found anything that works for this other type of crash. I have updated my video drivers and tried playing the game with no mods. I have searched the terms in the title on Google and tried most of the fixes that made sense. I am on Win 10 and my PC runs FO4 smooth and steady. Any ideas for further things to try will be appreciated, thanks!
Slammer64 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 It's a known problem with the latest nVidia drivers and Windows 10, it WILL crash Oblivion, Fallout 3/NV and Skyrim until Microsoft issues a fix. You'll need to roll back to an earlier driver, something in the 360.00 series.
zzz72w3r Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I am on the latest 375.70 and have not experienced any crash in Win10. Perhaps it's not the driver but something in Geforce Experience. Drivers prior to 360.00 were on Geforce Experience 2.0 which does not have the DRM that requires registration and login in Geforce Experience 3.0. You can install driver without that piece of Nvidia bullsh*t.
Vuulgar Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 http://www.loverslab.com/topic/68947-her-is-a-fix-for-skyrim-if-it-is-crashing-like-clock-work-at-the-15-minute-mark/ This was actually my issue, trying the different drivers is actually what helped me notice the time to crash was always about the same. Long path to an easy fix, my normal..hehe Thanks for the help!
