How To Remove List In Menu Windows 10?

How do I remove this annoying list in the middle? All these programs shouldn't be displayed like this but Windows 10 forced updates for ya.

Right click (on desktop) > Personalize >  Start > Use Start full screen

Right click > Personalize > Colours > Make Start, taskbar and Action Centre transparent"  (< I think it's meant to be "Center")

i rather like the full screen start menu. since this morning i've reconfigured 2 of my computers to use it already, because i like how it sucks the wallpaper up.
