Load Order Help. I can't get Defeat or Cursed Loot mods to work.

Would someone please tell me what's wrong with or the correct way to arrange my load order so I can get Cursed Loot and Defeat to work? Also, long post ahead, I'm trying to be as accurate with my mod issues as possible.

I use Mod Organizer and this is my load order on the right pane:

My problem with Defeat is that my character no longer gets passed around by her assaulters, there is no more subtitled dialogue, and they will kill her when they are done. Sometimes, if I fast travel to a city at night and I spawned in during a Vampire attack and get hit, she'll start the bleeding out process, she's on her hands and knees crawling to a follower, her clothes disappear for a split second then she's dressed again. The SexLab journal says that she was a victim and who did it but, there were no animations. During a regular bandit assault there are animations but, once one guy is done and the others are watching and cheering, they IMMEDIATELY attack and kill her. I tried setting her as essential however the same thing happens. I purposely attacked a guard outside of Whiterun, he defeated and raped my character but, there was zero dialogue then they were both dressed and he continued with his patrol when it was over. He didn't try to kill me.

I USED to have Defeat, Death Alternative for SD+, Simple Slavery, Deviously Cursed Loot and all the Devious Devises needed for Cursed loot, and what ever was required for the other said mods. My character NEVER died, was passed around, lots of subtitled dialogue, when they were done she had like 30 seconds to get away and if they caught up with her and she was already weak (maybe I was out of potions) they would rape her again.

However, I was having too many CTDs and had to reinstall Skyrim 6 times. I had to get rid of 99% of my high res mods and I hardly crashed. But the fifth time I reinstalled everything I did not install SD+ or Simple Slavery since I never got taken by Sanguine (or however you spell his name) and I got kind of tired of being a slave even if I had the percentage of that very low. My problems began after my character started progressing further in game and started absorbing dragon souls (powers?) and kept getting the option to use said dragon thingy while being bled out during an attack by someone and Defeat would not work even if I clicked on "Leave it up to fate" or whatever. I was told that was being caused by DA and didn't need it if I was not using SD+. That made sense and I followed the directions for uninstalling DA, cleaned my save but, it killed my game. Instant CTD on any load. I don't blame anyone for having told me to uninstall that mod. I've read that uninstalling or installing some mods mid-game could cause serious problems. So now I'm having all these issues that I mentioned above with Defeat when I started a new game.

Moving right along, I completely forgot to install Cursed Loot and all the Devious Devises mods needed to run it. So, I did because I love Cursed Loot to death. After I install it and load up my game my character is in somewhat of a T pose with her great sword piercing her upper torso, going trough her back to the front of her body  (all NPCs and followers are fine). All her physics work and she can walk, run, and jump and she looks normal doing that stuff but, when she stands still she's in that odd pose. It looks like she's wearing an invisible yoke--arms out, bent up at the elbows, hands dangling. I tried reinstalling her skeleton and body, cleaning the save (No orphan scripts found etc.), no errors in TES5Edit.

I uninstalled Cursed Loot and all DD stuff and still had the pose problem. I reinstalled her skeleton and body again and she was back to normal. I tried to install said mods once more and ended up with the same problem.

Yes, I ran FNIS and LOOT every single time I installed or uninstalled these mods.

I am begging you all for help. I really, really want these mods to work.

well, there is a lot of things to do..

DDi and Zaz each have an Sexlab override function.  You need to chose one in the MCM and disable the other or both if you want.  Also try rebuilding Sexlab animations from within the game.  DAYMOL and Defeat can overlap each other when you health is low.  Go into the MCM's of each and give them a larger spread (ie DAYMOL lower say 1-10% bleedout and Defeat 15to30%) so they cannot activate at the same time.  There are also sliders for chance of multiples, etc and all that in there.   Have your run TESVEdit?  And have you done a TESVEdit merge patch?  It will tell you if you have problems with dirty mods, etc. and can correct them for you.  link below for STEP but there are lots of Ytube videos on how to mod skyrim. (gopher is awesome!)

 http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2

When I run FNIS I always keep it in its own mod and delete it every time i change the mod order and run a new one.   Always run LOOT (its integrated in MO just hit the "sort" button in the plugins box) but I run the full program if I see any problems popping up in MO's plugin box,  and always run WryeBash everytime you change your mods.  Look at the mod list in MO.  Is anything overwriting important?  Last,  I would question saved games.  When I drastically change my mod order, I start a new game (scripts are hardwired into the saved game and can cause major problems longterm this is a Skyrim problem not a mod problem).  For minor changes (such as armor or followers), I clean my save game.

Hope this helps.

If you run FNIS and it doesn't report about any errors, the T-pose problem sounds like something overwrites your skeleton, you shouldn't let that happen, MO tells you what overwrites something else. Or just put the skeleton at the end on both sides.

I didn't try the essential thing by defeat without DA yet, but imho with using loot, it's more likely your settings are wrong than your load order. What is much more important than load order is the install order, left panel in MO, because Loot doesn't care about that and in my experience, you can fuck up things even better there.

Some of your older problems sound like wrong settings too, those MCMs aren't for personal tastes only. There is no way around to check them carefully, and the troubleshooting guides for the mods you use.

And finally: When searching for a problem, don't use an old save. Never. Install the mods you'd like to use, start a new game (every time), configure the mods, and see if that works. If you can get them working, you can try this setup and configuration with your old save and hope, but there is no such thing as a "clean save". All you can do is hope that it works anyways, most times it does, but there are so many things that can go wrong, there is no point in testing things with an old save.

Use another profile for testing in MO, you don't need and -depending on what you're trying- shouldn't test with your actualy setup for playing. If nothing else helps, you can disable all except sexlab + requirements (+ alternate start) and go on from there, adding some few mods, see if it's working, adding some more and so on until you find the problematic mods you're searching for, then read about possible incompatibilities and try to change the order, it's usually a good idea to let loot do it's thing and keep that order on the left side as well.

I no longer have DAYMOL installed since it was causing major problems. I've done everything you've suggested except for using WryBash--I've never used it. And I did learn the hard way that I have to start a new game when I mess with my load order. I always clean my saves and look for orphan scripts after uninstalling a mod. So, I'm at a loss. I had my load order in what I thought was almost near perfect by watching a lot of Gopher tutorials on YouTube until I started adding more and more mods. In ModOrganizer I once accidentally clicked something in my profiles section and it put my load order in alphabetical order! It was a dissaster and I tried very hard to get it back to the way it was but this (What I have displayed) is the closest I can put it back to by memory.

I've looked at WyrBash and it looks scary...but I see that a lot of people use it so I guess I'll give it a try. Thank you for your advice.

That's the thing, I NEVER got any errors after running FNIS or LOOT. I'm kinda new to Mod Organizer and did notice that the load order for the plugins was very different than my load order and when I moved something once, because a mod's instructions said to, my game completely died. You're absolutely right, I should never experiment or add new stuff to my main game and it's a very good idea to have a different profile just for testing--I will definitely do that. This is all very helpful information I and I apreciate you taking the time to explain this and give me great advice.

Also, in regards to the odd T pose, I figured it had something to do with a skeleton incompatibility. It's just odd that it's happening now and it didn't before.

A mod incompatible to xpmse? Certainly not from LL. It IS possible that the install order (left side) or even load order (right side) is wrong, though. No reason to worry about, just drag & drop it below/at the end.

You can click at the icons in MO to check overwritten mods:

+ means "I'm overwriting something".

_ means "Something overwrites me".

If a mod description says you should put it in a certain order, it's usually a good thing to follow this advise. If that doesn't work, try it with a new game, and if it doesn't work there, check the support thread of this mod. Most likely you're not the first one with this problem, if you can't find anything, ask there for help. If it works in a new game but not the save you'd like to use it... difficult. You still can try moving it around, but it also could mean the save is already broken.

Yeah...I have a lot of the "Something is overwriting somthing else" minus signs but, it doesn't tell me what and LOOT hasn't given me errors either nor TES5Edit. So again, I'm at a complete loss. As you say, I'm just going to have to mess around with it on another profile until I can get the things working again.

Thanks you. :)

Just double click at the minus sign, it WILL tell you which mod overwrites. Mh, thinking about it... which version of MO do you use? The 64-bit version (2, i think?) isn't recommended for Skyrim, better use 1.3 or somthing like that. If you have a 1.x version, that will work. And again, Loot has nothing to do with that, nor TES5edit. This is NOT your load order. The load order is the right side only, and that's handled by Loot. The left side is install order and you have to take care of that yourself, although MO sometimes makes suggestions. But those sugestions are very experimental and often not the most useful, and when it doesn't, it doesn't mean there is no conflict. But especially for the skeleton, the best advise is always just to put it at the very end (on both sides, in case Loot doesn't). It's possible that a mod says you should install it after the skeleton and that's worth a try, but even then i wouldn't trust that advice blindly and try to switch it in case of problems.

I have version 1.3.11 of MO. Thank you for giving me all this useful information. I'll copy my profile and create a new one and mess around with the install order there so I won't kill my current game. I won't uninstall anything, just uncheck some mods and see if moving things and unchecking will help with my conflicts. I've done more reading and you are absolutely right, mods that go near the very bottom take priority over others.

I'm very grateful for your continued advise.

Unchecking mods in MO is the same as uninstalling them in game, as far as that goes. But keep in mind that Skyrim doesn't provide any options to remove a mod properly, and save game cleaners are just some workaround, no proper solution to this. If you want to be sure that your game isn't touched by a mod, you need to start a new game without it.

But the only reason to uninstall a mod in MO is to save hard disk space. :)

i would seriously consider applying first aid to fnis using fore's instructions. see sticky FAQ here

Thank you! I will. That's very helpful.

Good to know! Thanks again!

Just read about some of your problems at defeat/cursed loot thread, but since afaik many of them are not actually caused by those mods, i've decided to aswer here. ;)

Weird bodies: if it's what i think it is, that simply happens sometimes when using HDT. I could reduce it by using the FPS limiter in ENBoost, but afaik there is no way to avoid it completly. Save & reload will fix it, though.

And i've read you learned the hard way that clean saves don't work always, that's the reason i never uninstall mods in a running game. Usually it's better to disable as much as possible, in case of DA: i've set bleedout to defeat, disabled the necro thing (that's what asks you to use a dragon soul or gem) and most other things. I didn't try defeat without DA yet, i think that you didn't die before is because you had DA, that still has more options than defeat. If you want, i can share my settings for both.

If you try to uninstall a mod the next time and your save doesn't work anymore, don't clean other saves, that will break them too in 99%. Instead, install it again and disable as much functions as you can if you don't want them.

Cursed loot settings: yes, using default values is no fun, at least not for long :D In my current game my settings are still quite harsh, but i'd at least recommend to reduce the influnce of arousal. That's the main difference if you get trapped every 5 minutes or every 5 hours in my experience. Reduce/disable the chances to lose keys, and you have a much more "tamed" loot. Change some settings in DDi and you can struggle out of armbinders quite fast, disable yokes/high security and there isn't much you have to worry about anymore... except the special quest items, i've just lowered the escape settings here, especially minimum days.

I've also disabled the "bound adventure" quest, and disabled both settings for full chastitiy devices, there is one of the left side with a general 2.5% chance (0 for disable) and one on the right side for high arousal with a 90% chance (101 for disable).

You CAN turn pretty much everything of in cursed loot even without disabling the core functions, it's just a bit work. ;)

And for emergergency: AdditemMenu can give you as much keys as you want. Not more than one each at once, but as often as you like. You'll maybe need keys from both, DDi and Cursed Loot depending on the item, though.

I have started a new game. Completely uninstalled EVERYTHING and decided that not only do I want my game to work well but, I want it to look gorgeous like in all the tutorial videos I've seen. Over 48 hours straight of following strict instructions and over a month of trial, error, reading, and learning not only from here but, from dozens of sites, I finally was able to make my Skyrim game look stunning. I actually cried from joy. I've been testing it for hours on end, currently running 200+ mods just for visuals and ENB and tweaked some things here and there and I'm very happy with the end result.

I did the smart thing and created multiple profiles just for testing mods out and I do have all the essentials tools to clean, check for crashes, and a dozen more. HOWEVER, when I was satisfied with everything I decided to add the fun mods from here, Cursed Loot first and that's when my PC's body, as well as any man that shagged her, went to hell. They looked like a damn, animated Picasso. Again no errors what so ever but, I spent a lot of time messing around with load orders and reinstalling and after 6 hours I was FINALLY able to get my PC's body back to her stunning curvy, bouncy boobs and butt self and there are no more problems with sex. I had her running from one end of the world map to the other, naked, and the poor girl got assaulted so many times I lost count and nothing went wrong. I'm very pleased.

I really want to thank you and everyone that has helped me with this problem because I absolutely love Cursed Loot. Now, I finally have it and it works perfectly. :D

I'm dead beat. When I wake up I will install SexLab Defeat, test it and pray to whatever gods are out there--I may sacrifice a goat or a virgin--and hope that it works as intended. I also really, really want Prison Overhaul back so that will be third. I'm going to keep testing before I go through a normal play through. Honestly I want all the LoversLab mods that I had installed back and working. Here's hoping and keeping my fingers crossed. If I have a problem I know that you and the community will always give me great advise on how to fix my screw ups.

Again, the LoversLab community is the BEST! Love you all! XOXO

EDIT: I disabled ALL quests on Cursed Loot, no fun, I know, and set the percentage of getting bound to 1%. I have NEVER finished Skyrim for one reason or another and I really want to this time while having fun with kinky mods. I'll keep downloading and testing and be the naughtiest Dovahkiin there ever was!

Welcome to the club. :D Yesterday i've found out that i accidently deleted my save with the hightest character... i was stupid to install Skyrim on a 100GB partition, didn't expect i'd need more, though^^

Imho the special quests from cursed loot are worth playing them at least once, i didn't get all yet.  But if you like cursed loot, try Shout like a virgin! It's a very nice mod, plays very well together with dcul (except that it prevents most events at least half the time by adding a quest collar to you). There can be trouble with PO, tough. You have to go to Nocturnal every few days (1-10, depends on settings), if you don't she will come and fetch you. You can disable it, but that will also disable some other features and you need to go to her before the change works.

Beside a lot of unique stuff, it made me finally do the daedra quests were i didn't really want the items and never solved before, and it gives you random quests in some very nice places i didn't discover yet.

Other mods i highly recommend: Get stripped! You need to play it more than once to see all... it has 7 different endings, but each of them is worth it, at least one of dom/sub in each Riften and Whiterun should be seen once :)

You can play it easiy between doing other stuff, just make sure you don't wear DD or use the MCM to ignore them.

Trapped in rubber has a very good story and dialogues (not much sex, though), but you won't be able to get out of the rubber suit (more than once) until you finished the mod. You can do everything else, medium length.

Isle of Mara is actually a gay mod, but fine for female characters if you don't mind that they call you boy some few times. Becoming the dragonbottom isn't male only, imho :D Quite long and most parts play on an island, no usual gameplay here.

Sex slaves (Mias Lair): train females into sexslaves, get 5 fully (and very good) voiced followers including one optional dominant male. With default values the training will last ages, though. Except a short quest part you can go and leave as you wish, player enslavement is optional.

And slaverun reloaded, should be compatible with everything, you can play it as a free women, dominant women, or slave... the slave part is pretty long, can be played during usual gameplay. It's just recommended to finish either the mod or the civil war before starting the other one. Hint: talk to anybody when somebody searches a slave to fuck, you'll be sore anyways. :D

I kid you not, I have Shout Like a Virgin bookmarked so I can download it. It looks like so much fun! And in regards to the quests in Cursed Loot, don't get me wrong I want to do them, I started one and was having a blast...can't remember which one, but it wasn't Trapped in Rubber (which I can't wait to try!) until my game kept CTD for uninstalling an overhaul mod mid-game play. DERP! Once I get things up and running and have all the kinky downloads I want, I will activate the Cursed Loot quests so I can complete all of them. There's no point in having such a great BDSM mod if you don't do the awesome quests!

I'm really sorry you lost your save. I've been there and it hurts. We've all had our not-so-bright moments and accidentally deleted something important. Like when I restored my MacBook Pro but, forgot to backup my photos..... 3 years worth of pictures gone forever. I literally cried. :(

Any who... Thanks for all the mod recommendations! I took a look at them and look like a lot of fun. I'll give them a try. :D

Thanks for your kind words and sorry for your loss, my save game wasn't that important, i had only the dawnguard quest finished. So... annoying, but not that bad. :)

But i think there is a misunderstanding about the trapped in rubber: that's the name of an extra mod which has nothing to do with Cursed loot. There is a rubber doll quest in cursed loot which has a LOT of sex, but not much dialogue. ;)

Rubber Doll! That's the one and well, duh about the "a lot of sex, but not much dialogue" part. Why do you think I'm so interested. I'll just sit back with my glass of wine and enjoy the show. :D
