Kendo 2 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Well, ToddHoward/PeteHInes/Bethesda have already tipped they have two games in the works. According to them the technology for what they want to do for TES6 doesn't exist. To me that means 'new engine' since they can't use GameBryo anymore (their license expired earlier this year). In other words they don't have a choice but to abandon an engine made 10+ years ago and modernize. And both Howard and Hines confess work for TES6 isn't passed the 'wouldn't it be cool if' development stage. An external version of FO4 (like New Vegas was for FO3) isn't being publicly discussed. That doesn't mean it's not happening, but it doesn't mean it's a sure thing either. Their GameByro license has expired unless they've forked over more dough to extend it. Which is pretty fucking sad if they did considering the game market and what people are looking for as far as game play and graphics go. FO4 has already been clowned for using a decade old engine, is Bethesda willing to risk that again? Realistically FO4 is a one shot marketing flop. The promise of additional DLCs and the season pass thing aren't happening. Nuka World is it so Bethesda is done with FO4. The game was failure so why bother perpetuating it? Summary: Bethesda admits they don't have a modern engine. They admit they have two games in the works and neither of those are implied to be a Fallout or Elderscrolls spin-off. And that's all there is to it.

Voice actors usually come in at later stages of development and Bethesda hasn't had enough time yet to develop a brand new Fallout title as big as FO4, so this is probably either a DLC type of thing or a Fallout game that's been developed by another studio, similar to FNV or ESO perhaps. Either way, I think I've run out of fucks to give... BTW, "The Know" is probably one of the most annoying and shittiest channels on YT IMO.

To me, the only thing conceivable Bethesda can release soon is a Skyrim64bit DLC or something similar. They've had several years to work on it (FO4 started with a 64bit Skyrim coversion). Aside from that I don't see anything in Bethesda's near future. They're janking a Skyrim64bit release in Oct/Nov around the time when reboots of more successful games are premiering with real remastered versions and VR capability. Bethesda equals the tag-along fat dork we all knew as kids.

Yeah, Bethesda doing anything in the foreseeable future (that they admit they're not capable of) and our reeling from the 'maybe/perhaps' quid pro quo is frankly a fucking waste. The shit they spew officially is bad enough. You Tube commentators adding to the dung heap doesn't help. And even if it's true; who fucking cares? What, there will be yet another industry substandard Bethesda game touted as the 'the next generation' whatever? People can burned only so many times before they get wise or in the very least be skeptical. After the hype and everything that FO4 wasn't Bethesda needs to shut the fuck up and produce something grand and MODERN. Fuck Bethesda and fuck 'FO5' if they're using the same formula.

Also of the 2 things they said they were working on weren't both revealed during E3? 1 was Skyrim Special Edition and the other was Dishomored 2 (though Dishonored 2 wasn't a 'reveal' so I dno)

And in the minds of most it would be the greatest thing since sliced bread; 'I gotta pee!' emergency animations that don't play or make the game crash, DD integration, game breaking mod mechanics, really bad dialogue, perpetual beta status..in other words everything thing that makes an LL mod great..or grate. bjornk Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 The Bethesda executive also says that the developer has “two other large projects we’re also doing that are bigger than anything we’ve done.” Fans will “probably” hear about these two major projects before they hear about The Elder Scrolls 6, adds Howard, “and that’ll make sense many years from now.” Two major projects, bigger than anything we've ever done, will make sense after(?) TES6... Why? Are they somehow related to TES6 or "will make sense" as a business decision why you made them before TES6? Pete Hines, the VP of PR and marketing at Bethesda, took to Twitter to note that he often jokes with Todd Howard that the “release date for TES 6 will be 22/22/22.” Hines also says that “our robot overlords will change our calendar system by the time it comes out.” Hines apparently thinks that his "robot overlords" would still allow people to play games after changing the calendar system... What a naive fool...
