Recently I tried using the "familiar faces" mod from the nexus. The mod itself is working fine, however I’ve been having a problem where some of the followers have this swirling effect around them. It’s  effecting this character, along with a few other random followers (i’m getting a list as we speak). I don’t have any spell mods or the like installed, and “dispelallspells” doesn’t work.I also have the Elly follower installed from

Any help would be appreciated, I’ve done all I can think of.

Have a follower in front of you when this happens.

Open the console, click on the actor, keep Shift pressed and go on the effects tab, and you will see the names of the active magic effects.

I checked Alvera (char in screen shots) and cross referanced her to Elly and found that the one effect they have in common is "absorb magicka" from the Atronach perk. I believe this might be what's causing it. Is there a way to disable it from the console?

You can try to open the console, click on the NPC, and type: dispelallspells

But it works only for magic effect added by a spell. Not for armor enchantments or weapon enchantments.

If that doesn't work you can also try to use the console once you find out it's name you can click on your follower and type in help magicka scroll up/down and find it's name and type in removespell spell ID and then enter.

It's mod that adds enchentments to normal vanilla armor or clothing that causes that effects. Mods like wintermyst or Worlds Dawn are notoriues for causing this on npc's
