Not bad, but I really want them to release something like Pets, Seasons, and actual cars. Can't see the why/how of cars. It requires a loading screen between lots and you want cars? Lol, it'll be even more like TS2. I'm still trying to figure out the appeal of TS4 - besides the bright colors and a few actual upgrades to game play. I actually find build/buy more limited than ever (wtf can't I place a TV on something other than a console?!) and quite frustrating (seriously, I have to make a room THEN I can place floor tiles on top of it? Why?) as a builder. The loading screen between lots that are literally three steps away from each other is kind of a deal breaker. But it's not my money so... They can't edit the neighborhoods either without corrupting our saves so Seasons would have to be exclusive to new worlds basically and the water is all FX so a new neighborhood would be made exclusively for swimming. You can already see how terrible TS4 is designed. Cars will never happen due to the road being FX as well, unless they make a new neighborhood with an exclusive functional road and cars. Cars were fun in TS2 because they added depth and had interactions you never got in TS3 where cars teleported around and somehow fit into our pockets. We could sit in the car, turn on the radio, make out, and woohoo in it with another Sim. They also pulled out of the driveway and Sims actually got in/out the cars. Basically they said TS4 neighborhoods won't be changed/fixed due to corrupting our saves in the process. If you encounter an issue with TS4 expect no fix not even modders because of this. --------------------------- You can't go into the neighbor's apartment right next door without a loading screen too. --------------------------- The Sims 4 You Rule* Smarter Sims, Weirder Stories** *You rule within the vast limitations brought to you by developers who just don't care **They're actually not smarter but dumber and you'll find yourself stressing out to make even a simple story --------------------------- New leak by music composer for the game showed scary music being made for scary packs. They do not have any function outside a simple teleportation to the top or bottom of the apartment/penthouse. No woohoo spot or anything. Wow this game just gets more and more stupid. Mods are barely making it worthy of playing.

XD Without EA i would have had a long boring last 20 years or whatever it was lol. im hoping they can keep me occupied for another 20, if i live that long. though i think im good for another 40 lol. cant wait to see the sims 10 You have Will Wright and his studio Maxis to thank for the Sims, not EA. All EA did was purchase Maxis and force Will Wright out after the Sims 2.

When TS4 was announced and the lists of everything missing from the the basegame were all over the internet, all hell broke lose. TS4 was actually supposed to be online only, probably riddled with micro-transactions but EAxis had to backtrack fast because Sim City $$$ tanked. I don't think they'll actually do Sims 5. TS4 is effectively dead - custom content really isn't enough to make people shell out truckloads of cash and if it is, Gods help the gaming industry. We'll get what we ask for by paying for crap like this. I'm still flabbergasted that people actually like TS4, but then I remember that they've probably never played TS2 let alone TS3. If you have and you actually prefer TS4 there is something wrong with you. lol

I personally enjoy Sims 4 over the others. And yes, I have played them all. I still own the discs for The Sims Complete Collection, I have Sims 2 Complete Collection on Origin, Sims 3 with all expansions on Origin, and now Sims 4 as well. Sorry but Sims 4 is just better to me personally. Graphics are way better, animations and interactions are better, everything is cleaner and sleek, and it is way better optimized. The world is basically the same as it was in Sims 2. Sure Sims 3 had a big town for you to wander around in, but because of that, it caused tons of issues with bugs and performance. Sims 3 was poorly optimized and needed mods to keep it stable. Building in Sims 4 I find to be way easier and funner than previous games. Less restrictions and better options to work with. Plus being able to pick up and move an entire house around the lot helps as well. And I can move entire rooms instead of having to move objects one by one by one to different areas and rebuild an entire area just because I wanted to switch some things around. Now I can just pick up an entire room and move it where I want it. Then of course, there is the gallery. No more having to scrounge around on different sites to find nice houses or community buildings you might like, or even sims as well. It's all right there in game now. Just open up the gallery and browse around to find whatever you need. Want to make your neighborhood fancy with custom buildings everywhere instead of the defaults? Go to edit world and start tossing in tons of community made lots everywhere. I don't have to log out of the game and go browse sites to download more mods to clutter up my folders just for some fancy houses everywhere. I can just do it all in game and save whatever I do like to my own library so I can access it later. And of course, all neighborhoods are on the same timetable. No more frozen neighborhoods when you're not in them, no more secluded sims living only in their neighborhood. All neighborhoods are interacting with each other and you even see sims running around from other neighborhoods. It's all one big world running together and progressing together, instead of separate universes that don't exist when you're not there. These are just a few reasons why I like Sims 4 over the others. I don't want to sit back trying to play an old buggy/crash-prone/unoptimized game (Sims 3) when I can move on to a more stable better one. Edit: Should probably also say, there are faults with Sims 4 as well. I'm not here to praise Sims 4 or anything, I just prefer it over the others. But yeah, Sims 4 does have downsides as well just like the others. My main thing I do still want for Sims 4 that the Sims 3 had, is Seasons and Pets.

Would make me happy enough to spend a one time purchase of 400-500$ to buy all ep's for the new Sims 5 (basically all of sims 3 ep's, with open world enabled)
