[Sims 3] Why doesn't someone make a Pregnant Belly Size Mod

Like say your sim having triplets or more, shouldn't her belly reflect that? Look at Sims 2 and Sims 4 they have that covered already. Can't someone do the same for the Sims 3? As of now there is no size difference. Is this possible?

 

Everyone would be wanting to use this. As for cloth morph issue, I can see that as a problem.

and this not already happen??? when a sim get pregnant in sims 3 her belly grow, what is wrong??? you means when the sims is pregnant with more than one baby??? or your mean a sim be able to have more than 2 babies like triples?

Then maybe do that? Instead using all that energy to create yet another thread maybe you could use it to learn something.

It does not change the max size which is little odd. she could have 5 and still look like she only carrying 1 which is little strange. my question is, is it possible to do a mod that changes the max size of the pregnant belly node to reflect how many the sim is having.

It would take more than just morphs. Having multiple babies is based solely on chance you would need a script mod like CmarNYC's Pregnancy Controller to get multiples from something other than chance  plus the mod would have to be able to determine which morph would be needed thus adding alot of extra code

so other words it wouldn't be practical ?

 

what about at least changing the size then? we already got the mesh all we need is to edit it to make the max bigger. anyone know how to do that

Doable yes but practical no. You would still need a script mod too determine how many babies and then determine what the size of the morph should be but that could also lead to unsightly graphics clipping in the end you would still need to add more code.
Multiple morphs would be better but then comes in the problem of how much code may or may not be needed.

You can create clothes with a modified pregnant morph to show a bigger belly, as everybody said making it work with a script would be too laborious but Cmar's Pregnancy Controller helps a little.

 

Other problem is that sims 3 female body mesh is already low poly so trying to increase belly's size can generate a blocky result (the original pregnant mesh by EA already has hard edges), plus clipping and bones shenanigans. A custom high-poly mesh can fix this, just depends how much you want to work on it.

The sex mod for TS4 on this site seems to be evolving fast which makes it tempting but one mod I can't live without is the portable Sims 3 mod that allows me to create a portable installation that I can move around and never have to re-install the base game and then every expansion pack individually.  The guy who makes the portable mod may have made one for TS4 and I just haven't seen it, or he may make one down the line, but if he does, then I'll probably make the switch.

I appreciate the link but I'm afraid there's been a wee bit of a communication breakdown.  When I said there's a mod I can't live without, I was referring to the mod you linked.  Its a great mod and I've been using it for several months now and I'm hoping down the road he makes the same type of mod for TS4 but while a lot of modders have dropped TS3 in favor of TS4, there are also quite a few modders who refuse to drop TS3 in favor of TS4 due to it not having the open world.  I'm not sure what the modder who makes the portable Sims 3 mod thinks of TS4.. they may hate it.

i saw a belly slider for CAS (can't remember where,sorry) that might be of some help.
though someone,somewhere, would probably have to create some kind of mod/cheat/thingy that would allow you to adjust the belly size in preg morph stages as though they were a uniform for a career (and i know there are cheasts/mods that let you change uniforms)

 

you'd probably have to do each pregnancy individually, but if you're someone who uses Sims for story-telling/movie making, you're already adjusting a ton of stuff individually so it won't make that much difference, i figure.

Not necessarily.  Back in the Sims 2/Oblivion days it seemed to take awhile for really big mods to be released like LoversPK, Chris and Joker's sex mod for TS2, etc, and so on.  But things moved pretty fast with Skyrim and while I haven't been keeping up on Fallout 4, I've heard rumors there's already some pretty in depth mods for Fallout 4, not sure if there's a in depth sex mod yet but I wouldn't be surprised  Actually, I think I'll check out the Fallout 4 second on this site in a moment.  I don't have the game so it doesn't really matter but I'm still curious..>

what i was talking about (and hoping for) was something that would allow the user to adjust the size of each stage and then save the changes for other pregnancies rather than having to swap out the existing meshes for default replacements that might not work well with installed outfits.

but i am not a programmer, 3d designer, or animator, so i have no idea how difficult such a thing would be to make, if it's even possible.
