BlueShinobi Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I notice that when you go to advanced search, right under the search box, it says Tip: Search for a specific phrase by "enclosing it in quotes" The problem is, it does no such thing. If I try searching for a phrase, I don't get results for the phrase, I get results for any single word inside of the quote. So if I search for "My green shoe" I won't get results for "My green shoe" I'll get 100 results of(mostly) "My" all by itself, and maybe a few posts with the word "green" or the word "shoe". Testing this several times, it doesn't even give me results for any post that contains each of those three words. Instead, it ORs them, it doesn't even AND them. So does the forum actually support string searches, or even logical &&? Or does it purely || everything?
myuhinny Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I'm guessing you are using the wrong search option. Are you using the match tab? You can select - It has search title AND content - only search in titles - only search in content.
gregathit Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Summary: The search function sucks balls. Use google + loverslab + and your search topic. Works flawlessly. Cheers, Greg
myuhinny Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I typed in animated pussy and then set the match to search titles only and it brought up titles with animated or pussy or both in the title. Or use ixquick + loverslab + and your search topic if you don't use google.
