So, i've been busy, and having issues with my earlier game creation due to cross platform, and really rather not have limitations towards who could play it and who couldnt in the long run, since not everyone uses a windows desk or laptop.

 

As such im getting into using twine, since it has no limitations unless the thing the player is using doesnt have browser capabilities.

 

Starting into it im working on a side project called Lost Will, on its completion ill be rebuilding the breakdown stuff into it, anyways some information, as ill be doing 3 games in twine, and maybe more after.

 

Game name: Lost Will

 

It is going to be a Cyberpunk dark themed story based game with a open world, the story will start out linear, and break off into non linear eventually, game is still early, but it will be based around lite mind control elements, where the players already under the influenced and is eventually trying to break free, player plays as a young woman, 18-29, will be character creation based but flavor text has not been implimented yet, but will eventually be incorporated for environment/ambiance.

 

 

Game name: Breakdown

 

for anyone who was paying attention, this one should already be known, but for those who hadnt, it is going to be a reverse trainer or escape game, whichever way you want to view it, where a young woman (player) is captured into a situation where they must escape, but the captors try to break you, to turn into what they want you to be, sex slaves, whores etc, games already been figured out so will be the easiest to setup, but lost will is still coming first so i have a decent ammount of experience with twine.

 

Game name: Whisper

 

This one follows a horror route (Silent hill inspired), where a young woman with a bad case of curiosity, who finds out about a town said to be cursed with hauntings and demons, etc, this game will feature a partial 3D environment detailed in text, either will follow the lost will style open world or something using a 3D array based map, not sure how indepth imma get with it, either way, the haunting/curse situation and story behind it, as well as way to fix/cure it, will all be procedural, so this game will be more then likly the ending game for these 3 as it will probly be a fuck ton more work then the others, but it will be the one that ill be using to stress twine, to see what it is capable of in certain area's.

Im only able to do 1-2 hours a day of work, so just a heads up it will have mostly daily updates, but some of them wont show much to the public as it may not have reachable content or it may just be code end crap which you could look at through browser view if you want, but i cant really say it will be easy to find, either way unless a days work isnt done to a point i want it to be ill usually upload it.

 

Lost Will i am only completing it up till the first story arc is completly done, with a ending, then i will be switching to breakdown, as it was my first major public game, and i want to button that one down past where it was before on the other engine run throughs i had done on it, but i will return to lost will to add more later on once breakdown is back to a good point.

small update:

 

Alright got one more done, been a bit busy and a bit out of motivation to work on written content, but i managed to finish 1 of the more sexual based intro part 1's saddly it ended up being 10 paragraphs too big for the window/text size, and as i have been having issues with windowed mode and the current text fonts at smaller sizes (and really dont want to incorperate scrolling... more so cause its a pain in the ass, and for some people i know it can be somthing that limits your want to continue, im keeping it out, if need be ill add in a extra page extension for some, but at the moment im finding it fairly easy to just edit down text, if not completly time consuming, anyways), i had to cut a bit of the oral scene and a chunk of the extra ambiance stuff, but as it is sitting now it reads well, will get back on the train later today, have one of the older write ups that is already done but needs expansion for how i have the intro part1's setup and that shouldnt take too long to finish so i may have a chance to get that done as well as finish or get started on the next one, not sure if imma have sexual content in depth on the other ones but if it comes into view on writing em, ill probly go with it.

alright had the flu past while so havent gotten much done, minus 1 of the intro part 1's which may need to be rewritten as i am pretty sure i was under the influence of the start of the flu and was a tad bit delirious, but can probly salvage most of it, so it isnt a loss or anything, still sick so im taking a breather till i feel better.

 

figured i might as well make a post as im not sure whent ill start feeling better, probly next few days if im still feeling crappy ill relook on the intro part that needs a rewrite as i am a bit clearer headed today then yesterday, but im not planning on getting back into it for a few days in general as this had left me a bit bed ridden and as such ive been mildly unmotivated, but will get back on it soon enough.

Hi, this is looking very promising! Other than editing, this is going to sound nitpicky, but since the game will live and die on the type, I think some major changes need to be made in that department.

 

Some of this may not be possible based on the programming, but it looks like you're using reverse type on a 100% black background. I would try toning down the black, as the font is a bit hard on the eyes, but ideally, I would go with a white user-interface with black type. I'd also recommend a new type-face, as the one you have now is too bold and the letter kerning is awful, so it's creating rivers in your type. I don't know if it's possible, but I also feel there's too many words to a line, but if you can't reduce that, try using more paragraphs, in particular that second screenshot. Those are some big walls of text right there.

Alright starting to feel quite a bit better, still a bit unmotivated but thats more so just the sustained sick feeling i have in my stomach, either way i am slowly getting back to writing the intro stuff, however i need to rewrite that earlier one i did while i was sick reread it and noticed it may not be that great for having in the starting intro selection.

 

 

To Remedy: The GUI including the background and Text font/color, is completely customizable, it all uses images and the game will come packed with a Font Creation tool (made by one of the more awsome engines community members) that uses any font type you have installed on your computer, it allows you to change size/italicness/boldness/color/etc basicly everything you need, including some internal engine stuffs like spacing inbetween letters and so forth, as such anyone who wants to skin a new gui to make it less irritating on the eyes (as i am not a artist and my actual artist only does the Actual drawn art, and not the gui, i was the one who set on that particular stuff), as it sits however it took me a while to actually get the text built with the tool properly so it didnt do anything weird, however past those images i put up, i have made the font in higher bold, so it may be a bit easier to read, however i havent redone any of the gui element images, this im leaving to the people who take intrest in the game, as i would much more prefer to spend the little time i do have to work on this with actually doing the programming and writing(even if i hate writing, as its a text game and i dont have the artistic ability and dont want to stress my artist who also does comics and other art work, on having him do over extensive stuff for the game that may drag out the new demo or the continuation of the full games possible deadlines (however as im doing this section by section i dont have a actual deadline due for the demo, still extensive work compared to the old demo which took me hardly any time to get finished and as such was more so a skeleton of what i wanted, and on that language it was rather annoying to actually get it where it was, however not very time consuming, so im not saying the quest language was shit in all, more so that if you want a specific look you should look else where or spend hours rewriting the engines code, which i almost did, but hit some issues with the base engine that made me realize entirly how much more work it would have been to find and fix the issues involved then to actually just pick up another engine or in my case kit that would give me the ability to actually build it how i wanted to look and still be coding heavy... rather then what the new age is doing with the visual drag and drop components thing... which personally i hate quite alot.)

Anyways i have the Skinners Resource up in the top post, if you want to tinker with it, theres a small bit i hadnt taken into account when i started on making the gui completly moddable and thats basicly in line with i didnt make all the menu GUI components different (Menu Background component, as well as the background Component, but buttons are currently split of course, i would recommend making them similar, as some buttons are reused and will be reused throughout the game), Skinner Resource also contains the Text Creation tool, Later on ill make a Skinners usable Exe that will have everything currently used in the GUIing (Minus certain buttons of course since that may end up being quite a stretch so to speak for window size, and at the moment default (Lowest Resolution) is 1280x720, will have a few to pick in the options menu including fullscreen/windowed and some other odds and ends that may be needed like content kill switches for those who may not want some of the dirtier content if i ever add in certain unwanted types of events, which may or may not happen from my personal written content, and will probly rely on when i open up patreon rewards that allow the involved people to send in there own written content to be hardcoded into the direct game, rather then the community able way which will be done once the game is roughed out enough that it has enough content and alterations that i feel happy enough to take on a heavier side project for the interpreter needed to read and relate player made text files for use as events, as well as some documentation on limitations and so on, as i am pretty sure it will be a project of its own design and will go through stages like this game will.

 

 

not sure if this answers your question, but im pretty sure it does, as everything used in the game past the loading screen is image related, so anything can be changed, Just as long as you dont change out the Logo image's, since those i have reserved for creator editting/changing only, my artist even has given consent to allow changing out his drawings for whatever you may want - real life photo's, anime, whatever, on that note i will also be making it capable for adding in photo's for events i hardcode, as i am keeping this fairly legal a game, i wont be including any images for it, just blank black images but any user can find and plug in there own, which is a part of the skinners resource and when i get down to the event system coding, and writing up events, i will be updating the skinners resource, will also start putting update versioning for it as well once i hit the end of the new demo's make, this includes updates past the demo as the demo will be 0.01 as it should be a bit ahead of the old demo and should be a bit better (hopefully) as i have more capabilities and a bit better of a random generation situation, as the one in the old demo i had to do a bit mcgyver'ed and as such was fairly horrible, and the built in random algorythms were pretty much shit compared to that one so... either way should end up being better, i am going to be doing things quite alot different from the demo, however more then likly will seem similar on some of it, like the game over stuff, maybe extensions on text for them, but it will be pretty short, escapes i will be fleshing out with minigames and events will be interactive in a way related to submitting and resisting, which will have different benefits and negatives, which as such the information panel will be visible and have quite alot more information then the old demo, which i may leave in or change to an alternative as i did want it to be based around felt knowledge rather then raw data, but will see, may have how i wanted it as a changable feature in options later for those who want more immersion however ill probly keep the raw data way in as well, just a switchable choice.

 

 

Edit: i do however see what you mean having a look over it again for the text issues, however i do have to manually program everything for how the text is displayed, the text itself can be altered easily, but adding in more paragraphing would need quite a few extra pages, which would need to be hardcoded in for the specific events, in all honesty however, i do agree it is rather large walls, ill think about it at a later date, at the moment i do just want to finish the text up for the rest of the 8 intro part 1's, since i have my programming rather modular i can go back and add in extra pages if need be, just rather do that later on, specially if each one ends up having wallage that could be extended to a third page which would make it extremly easy to hard code it, and if i did it the way i think i have to at this point in time, it would probly end up leading to a redo to a simpler way anyways down the line.

So, given the whole wall text bit, i finished the one i was rewriting off, and did it in a format for how the rest may turn out, its a draft, but i think it should be a bit better, only real issue i have with this is that im now going to have to redo em all, but for how this shit goes, it was probly going to happen anyways, as being pointed out on the wall text thing it did urk me quite a bit, so whatever however im probly going to stick to this as i dont want to waste all my hours to just writing, i really dont have a large ammount of time to work on this game, so having to do so many rewrites has eaten up most of my days work, not to mention it takes me forever to write up content as i am not a fluent writer, but either way a spoiler if people want to see the less wall based text for this intro P1 im not guaranteeing it wont change, but i think it fixes the wall of text thing, it may be 4 pages however, maybe 3 im not going to put it into the engine yet cause im getting close to my cut off time today, and it takes a bit to hardcode it, but looking at it im thinking almost or on 4 pages, anyways hope it fixes the text wall issue for mostly everyone as i dont really want to rewrite it again.
 
 
Lil warning i didnt take out the internal processing variables i used in writing it, so you will see some weird inserts just expect some are Quotations and some are for specifying Race.
 

This story began years ago, little to your own knowledge, back when you were careless and free and not thinking twice or realizing what your actions may bring in your future.

One day, heading out for a walk from your usual hang out, listening to some of your music, you make your way through the city, not paying much attention to anything aside from when you cross the street.

As you're going you have the uncomfortable realization that you could really use a restroom, looking up to your surroundings you find that you're in a fairly run down looking part of town.

As you continue on your way, you notice a 7-11, you head in and ask where the washrooms are, the attendant has a rather creepy smile on his face, but he points to the back and rather than peeing your pants you head to the washroom.

Entering the bathroom you notice how badly kept it is and wonder if you should head somewhere else, but are abruptly stopped by the feeling of needing to go right now, and quickly grab some toilet paper and place it on the bowl, sitting down as you finish.

As you're doing your business you hear the front doors bell ding, and a bunch of laughter and conversation, at that point you notice that you hadn't locked the door, and try to speed up so you can get out of there before someone walks in on you.

You finally finish without incident and get up and adjust your clothes, as your leaving the washroom, you see the attendant talking and laughing with a group of "+CaptorEthnicityl+" guys and notice him give a look to one of the guys and a nod towards you, not giving this much thought, you leave the 7-11, and put your earphones back on.

Little ways past the 7-11 you stop and look around to see if you can find something that you recognize to get your bearings and notice a street name that should intersect with main street, and with a sigh of relief you start heading towards it.

Just as you start going you feel a hand on your shoulder and quickly grab your earphones and pull them out as you turn to see that its the group of "+CaptorEthnicityl+" guys from the 7-11.

"+chr(34)+"Hello, what is it?"+chr(34)+" you ask with a puzzled look on your face, but notice that the group is slowly moving to encircle you, making you start to step back cautiously.

"+chr(34)+"Hey girl, no worries we're just curious if you wanted to come and party with us a bit"+chr(34)+" one of the guys says, the group continuing to try and surround you slowly like wolves stalking prey, giving you a increasingly uneasy feeling.

"+chr(34)+"Um, I really need to head home, thanks for the offer though.."+chr(34)+" you say and quickly turn towards the street you were heading for, but as you do you feel a grip on your arm, looking to the side you see one of the guys trying to circle you has a hand on your arm, and feel a knot fill the pit of your stomach.

You begin to feel a fight or flight response to the situation and quickly pull your arm but to no avail as the guy holding it keeps hold while being pulled closer, you quickly swing your arm and impact on the side of his skull making him let go and turn, giving you the chance to sprint off.

"+chr(34)+"Eer-raAHHH YOU BITCH!"+chr(34)+" he says, you hear a bunch of heavy footsteps behind you strengthening your stride, you take a few turns through some alleyways doing your best to lose your tail.

Taking a little bit of time to listen for any loud running or otherwise, and hearing nothing you start to relax, when all of a sudden you're grabbed by the waist from behind and thrown into the side of a dumpster, looking back at you as you look up is the guy you hit, a distorted with anger face beading down on you.

"+chr(34)+"Alright bitch, you like it rough, we can play rough.."+chr(34)+" he says as he begins to move toward you, grabbing hold of your ankles and pulling you towards him, "+chr(34)+"No! fuck off! Leave me alone!"+chr(34)+" you begin screeching at him as you start to kick your legs trying to release his hold on you.

"+chr(34)+"Oh? whats wrong, I thought you liked it rough?" he says with a sneering grin on his face, as he grabs hold of both of your ankles under one of his arms, and begins to unzip his fly, and maneuver his cock out into the open, your desperate attempts to get your legs free still proving to be a useless effort.

As he moves in closer grabbing hold of your leg as he moves his hand up to remove your shorts, his cock in plain sight making you renew your struggle and start to move your hand around looking for something to use to get out of this situation, you feel a heavy cold to the touch metal object, before the guy realizes you have a metal pipe slammed into the side of his head, causing him to keel over in a flash.

You get up tears visibly flowing from your eyes, looking at him hoping he was unconscious or dead, seeing no sign of movement, you move on, the idea of stamping on his dick or kicking him in the balls looming in your head, but the fear of it causing him to wake up and continue what he was doing kept you walking.

A while later you find your way to main street, and continue walking home fear having left its mark on you as you keep a steady pace, even while in familiar territory, having reached your house you quickly head into your room and sit on the bed burying your head into your lap and finally let everything out, in the midst of it, you place your hand to grab your cell phone to make a much needed call, and realize both your wallet and your cell phone are gone.

This realization takes a hold of you, and all you do is hope that it didn't drop when you hit that dumpster, the horrible fact that remained would become a horrifying truth later on in time.

Sorry for the low updates at the moment, had a bit of a sports incident and ripped somthing in my arm so have been having alot of RnR, going to get back on it when i stop having issue typing.

Alright well arms better by alot, going to start back working on it slowly, at the moment i am having some complications writing in general due to a bad case of writers block, but im slowly fixing up the already created stuff that needed additions/rewritten portions to fit with how the finished few are setup, but like i said im going at a pretty slow pace, writing block i am pretty sure more so has to do with stress from real life stuff going on at the moment, so im sure it'll clear up soonish, at the moment though dont hold your breath on the wait for updates, ill be working on whats already done, and seeing if more needs to be done in the code portion however i probly will be taking a while to get newer additions done, but eventually ill be getting back onto the horse and hopfully it'll be as fast as my setting up the old demo, or the inital underskeleton coding i had done for the newer version, least by way of work being done per day, at the moment it really isnt that much work in all for finishing the part 1's basicly have most of it already mostly written IE just needs rewritting/additions, and then maybe 3 or so that actually need to be written up from scratch, and the part 2 is roughly less then a page for each one, and the part 3 is basicly a conglomerate of sections taken from each used player choice and game generated variables from the start, so in all it should be easy as well, but im not holding my breath on that as im doing it way more different then the original demo which was heavily static, so depending on how i proceed to integrate everything it could take a short ammount of time or alot, however im probly going to modulate the text and have it piece together through the scene load, so im thinking short, with maybe a slight bit of irritation, but either way once thats out of the way, i can get back to actual coding, which is way more entertaining for me then writing, and usually doesnt have hitches due to rl stress or otherwise, as the actual games being hardcoded it will still take some time seeing as i dont have the simplicities of the older engine i was using, and wont ever go back to that for a chunk of reasons most of the major issues in general were already listed above, either way just a heads up, when it comes down to it though for a update on the chart ill probly update once i actually have everything done and have a stead work flow going, this is more so because i rarly have energy to post small updates at the moment on progress, and feel it may just be better in the long run to space out the updates anyways specially when im doing writing, as aside from stress which may or may not end up leading me to a point where i cant think of anything to write, but also writing itself for me is rather boring when it comes down to whatever it is, so in the case of this new demo creation i will be keeping it on larger finished content for when i send out a update on progress, once the demo's done and the games playable and has what i wanted for the main content for viewing by the general public, ill resume a semi sparatic updating scheme which means small updates and so on as well as general random updates involving internal engine crap i deal with and so forth, given ill just be able to add in more content sections rather then entire systems that are used by the games main codebase.

Alright sorry all, have to take a minor hiatus on the project, once i get my shit together will get the rest of the writing done and post up here once the intro part 1 stuff is done, sorry about the silence, been having some issues, but the project isnt abandoned just need some time to deal with stuff, only have a few bits left to write for the intro part 1's so when i get back to it should be able to slam them out.

Welp shits not really going to well for my creative edge for writing, so i may be looking for another writer, as i have time to code, but as it goes with writing my times limited and motivation is as well, anyone who may be intrested should send me a pm, i can give the necessary information needed, as the games not being pay to make, and only situated for donation, anyone who partakes in the work is allowed to setup a patreon or other donation/tip assosiated situation and if done, i will apply a link inside my patreon directing towards the workers donation/tips bit, as well as what they have done/are doing that is major within the game, anyways, as this is stated, this doesnt mean i wont be writing, as i am unsure if i will get someone else who may want to write for my project (and as such join the lil studio i have slowly put together) but as it is right now i am having a hard time with motivation as well as work time involving writing for the most part since it is much more time consuming then coding the game itself, will repost this post to the other forums to hopfully situate a writer faster (if at all).

 

 

Some side notes on this, as it sits at the moment the writing is by far the most extensive of the work (Not sayin the programming isnt alot of work as im coding from the ground up, but the writing is the most time consuming) so i dont really want someone to really go into this blindly, as this stuff will be massivly time consuming (main reason why im having issue even with the writers block issues from time to time), but for what is needed i will still be going at my normal coding pace, meaning milestoning, so it shouldnt be too chaotic, as i do have a set plan for content i want done and the order in which i want it done, however content wise i dont have issue if the other writer wants to do there own content additions, however ill be more so needing all the info they wanted to add in, as depending on what it is will need more additions added in the code, either way, its a free reign at the moment, as long as the essentials get done first, as it sits for most of it i am going by page (as most of the actual stuff is hard coded at the moment and i doubt i will be doing it any different till i get into writing the custom content code section which will still have limitations seeing as i rather not include scrolling into the text or other extra time consumption situations which in most cases is fine with some people, but not very fine with a majority (clicking a button to go to another page usually ends better then having to scroll down possibly hours of text, and makes it seem alot less annoying in the long run... also helps with how the text editor and how text is rendered in direct x, anyways aside from all this once i find someone(s) the game progress should go faster (either that or i start getting a bit more motivation(And especially time, as most of my time i actually feel like working on the written aspect of the project, is either eaten up by the wife, or other situations, and my free time usually deals with my playing a game on the side and dealing with house work or other crap leaving hardly any time for my actual free time with playing a game or doing whatever else i have decided on doing to relax).

 

As this games a spare time game for me dont take this as me throwing in a towel if i dont find a writer just expect it to go as slow as its going now, but i dont plan on ending this project or going onto another till this ones done enough, this games roughly easy for me in terms of coding, as it uses C++ and a basic interpreter of C++ in terms of directx, so the limitations are nothing, minus my own learning curve for stuff i may need to mess around with to figure out, but as such its a ease of mind situation, i dont expect to have this game finished any time soon, but as it sits i do want progress to go alot faster then it has been, so hopfully the group gets another writer(s), and if stuff goes good, can probly get another project opened on the side (just dont hold your breath on a newer idea yet, this would mean i dont have to do any of the writing and have all my time spent on coding, since thats my strong suit but as it sits i dont see much of a issue working on a second text based game if i had all my work load dealing with the coding, but will come to that IF and when stuff leans out enough that its a viable situation.)

Will be a lil bit longer before i get started back onto this game, needed a rest from writing been doing so much of it past 2 years, but once i get finished a few smaller projects in other games ill get back onto the band wagon, figured id give a heads up.

Just stumbled upon this topic.  Thank you for all the effort you have put into it so far.  I like to see more adult based text games that one can easily sit down and play in a browser.  This one looks like it is off to a promising start.

Saddly after i had a stint with some health issues which im still going through partially, i went to get back to work on the game but the updates seemingly quite alot of updates seemed to have broken alot of how i was coding the game, so ill be needing to rewrite the entire game again lol, on a side note this is a bit good since i can do it in a better way maybe allowing for custom made content i wont be busy on that shit for a long ass time as i have hardly any energy to actually work on anything that extensive at the moment im just going to rewrite the normal content with the placeholders, will probly do it straight lined for how the game starts up since i want to try and get the new version out on the new engine, going to try and stick to the stuff they have been altering since alot of it stays the same, and aside from writing my own DLL to use in place to avoid fuck ups with them updating parts so drasticly that i was using together to get what i wanted i think dealing with it using the stuff ive noticed that hasnt changed may be for the best.

 

probly also going to go a different route for how events are setup more along the lines of single line actions by captors and then a single action response from player, then add in more flavour variations for each as i go, but for now heres a milestone list, not saying its going to be extensive since my energy is rather low and i have been having major headaches, which have made it hard to concentrate on anything too indepth, but whatever will push to get somthing out in the next 2 months - Milestone list:

 

- 1 intro type (Violent)

 

- 1 captor type (Gang members)

 

- 1 location set (Home - this includes location of being captive)

 

- 1 prelude to captivity intro

 

- 1 -2 event types  (Will have 1-2 different actions that captor can do and 2-3 reactions by player with 1-2 flavour text bits that will randomly be picked to show how u react from the given choice u pick)

 

- escape type (will be minigamed but will just be a placeholder, as i am probly going to do somthing turnbased with a semi graphical isometric style, still in thought about how i want it to be, but i know it will probly be turn based, and may be tactical turn based in nature if i can figure out a good way to impliment it, stuff like being able to push garbage cans and so on in the way of the captors making them have to waste ap or a turn to move it then proceed to u shit like that, just not too sure yet but the ideas forming)

 

- 1 ending (probly sex slave will probly have a few variations for it as i have a bit of stuff already written up that just needs someone elses eyes to have a look at it, however corrections and grammar and so on i may wait on as it takes time and i rather just focus on getting this thing prototyped again and deal with the other crap later on)

aside from this ill also be adding in a image screen with a black image that a player or skin maker for the game can add there own images to relate the scene however this will be more complicated for custom written content, not even remotly impossible just alot more work and will require alot of thought on how ill do it as i want that part to be fairly simple for people to be able to work there magic, and as said before custom content will be lower spectrum of development, good thing about the rewrite for what i already coded is the character creator and procedural generator code didnt get messed up just the internal crap i had setup for the actual game got ruined and would take alot of time to rework it to be how i had it before with the same code. so least its only half of the work i had done that needs to be rewritten.

 

 

on a side note, im also looking for writers to speed up the content, so if anyones intrested id appreciate a email to telwraith@gmail.com, as im just doing donation based funding you would also be wise to make a patreon with the relative information as to what you are doing for this game, and put up a payoneer or paypal to it for your own donation gathering.

Alright so had a loooong thought about this since i started on the rewrite, and ive come down to a decision, probly one that might make the production time way longer, however i think its the best decision.

 

I have pre-purchased iClone 7 which basicly gave me 6 for free, now this may excite some people but don't get too deep in thought on it, as i still have to learn how to use it, however as it sits this gives me access to a semi simple movie and picture rendering suite as well as a nice little shader lighting effect that will make most of it look like a HD TV quality.

 

I will be altering my personal representation for my game (Going to go under a new name and the "studio" idea will be abolished, as most of my decisions for my representation was just a few seconds of thought, this lil bit isnt very important to anyone but me, just putting this up to avoid confusion)

 

the game may go through some alterations (as was known before but again putting it up to avoid confusion)

 

As this game has been taking alot longer then i was wanting for it to take to get stabilized i am sorry for anyone this has frustrated or pissed off, but there isnt much i can do about that, and given how much people wanted Art of some kind in the game i think this wait is somthing people can stand.

Just a quick heads up. i may be cutting down the customizability in light of going the 3D animation/picture route, but may not depends how i feel about what i want to do with the iClone app atm ive been hunting down props for use with the current smaller milestone, as well as working on a few characters (for now i am going towards the lower customization route but it can easily be changed if i come to a better conclusion for how to deal with the situation)

 

once i have a few female models setup ill post up the current choices for the main character and set a poll up.

 

the pics will be a prelude to the first enslavement room.

After alot of tutorials and so on and some more thought on the old project, i will be thinking on how i will use iclone with it, at the moment iclones animation and so on as cool as it is may be best suited for a newer project, or more thought, so i will continue on with the game as a non picture (With image locations for people to put there own images in to relate the content), however iclone is going to give me more room for creation of other things, so while im working on this thing in the background ill grab more content to use with iclone, as it sits next month ill be grabbing a few licenses which may push me to test out the use of it in a new small project which will be dependent on if i have enough of the tutorials finished and the majority of the other applications all fleshed out in my head, as well as certain props i will need, it wont be anything big, probly a straight forward story game with animation or pictures depending if the photorealism app allows for animations since i only have the full version on trial i am waiting on determining if it can or not, from my inital look it could take entire segments of animations so i think it can, which means i could probly do a story boarded multiple choice game or somthing with animation, but that will just be my learning curve project, either way will determine next month if i can start on a learning project, i dont think it'll put this one on the back burner but depends on how deep i get into working with iclone, still do want to incorperate it into some major project since it is a well rounded little animation engine.

Alright so, ive gotten back down to work on AIF's but atm im learning twine, as the AGK version wouldnt be having a Mac or linux version for a few reasons, mac being because of the mac developer license, but ill be running through 1 - 2 side projects that can end up being larger after there finished, then once ive finished my learning curve which for breakdown im thinking is just this first one, as im doing alot of stuff needed for transfering breakdown to twine.

 

This means that it can be run by any computer and possibly mobile device, and will be downloadable once finished and hosted on a repository i set up, im also working on my writing techniques which should play out breakdown's content better, as i will be going through most of the stuff i had completed for breakdown and rewriting to the style im using in this current side project.

 

Am very sorry for the long ass wait on breakdown, but had quite alot of problems, and it wasnt going to be as open towards multiple platforms the way i was going with it, but now everything is back to a good work process, and a new hopfully rivetting game is coming out of it.

Just a note, breakdowns demo is still the major bit, and will remain as the main link for now, the current side project is: Lost Will, and is up on the site, i wont be doing the updates normal, the version up on the repository will be updated everyday as i spend 1-2 hours every day adding parts to it as i go, the Intro is finalized, but probly still has some spelling and grammar errors but it will give you a idea of the writing that will be involved in that game, and the style breakdown will adopt in some ways, hope that the intro inspires some thrill and enjoyment for whoever decides to check it out.

 

Once Lost Will gets to a good spot where it has gameplay value i will remake a post that will entail everything, atm the side project is in its infancy, so i have no plans on advertising it much atm minus the update to some of my frequented forums posts.

 

Edit: The systems i work on and add to the game are not balanced yet, once i get to the point the open world in it has gameplay value i will start on balancing everything.

Redid the First post, to reflect whats going on, and as its sitting Lost Will, is getting a finishing put up of content slowly, then once the story finishes up to the slums ill be going back and finishing up adding Character creation flavor text, and game mechanics, as well as cleaning up variables and so on, so it isnt a ugly mess, and will also be adding in more to the tutorial open world area, maybe restructuring how certain parts of the story work, like the waiting till night part for the story connection once you get into the Corp., since i did that one quicker then it was going to be originally.

Minor story update, just finished off the library bit, it deadends on the current choices, been busy with my wife for a bit now, and she wants more time together, so will be quite a few more days, ill still do half a hour to a hour of work as its been sitting for the time i have, probly more if i take time out of my other enjoyments, but not really promising,

 

At the moment the rest needed before i go back to working on the open world sections of the game, is about 3-4 parts, next part should be done tommorow or the day after, its a small bit, but i have some coding shit involved in it that may eat up more time then it will take to write the next bit, more so trying to close up enough of the mystery which isnt much granted, but im also adding in mystery as i go, so it needs to be delicate, will see though.

 

The situation on the milestone update will be getting the story basicly in line, but after ill be backtracking on the story to add in character creator flavor text (player features) into the story, since i was more so writing as i go rather then including the small bits, as well as working on cleaning up my variables and working on creating the main open world area (Tutorial zone will be unlocked at a later date when the story breaks it back in, since mostly everything shouldnt be the same once you get back there, so story arc(s) should be different on re-entry, but the main one im going to do to finish off the game into a working environment for more, will break into it first so should be easier with any other arcs that break back into it, the flavor text will slowly be introduced though, more so because it is a really delicate point on adding to writing, but my writing isnt that great, so hopfully wont be that long a process, the main work will be the open world, "tutorial" area, as well as the new slums area.

Doing a very quick tester fix, for seeing the top "will" bits, current good template event for gaining will has been increased from 5-10, the decrease is still at 1, this stuff wont stay as it is either way, once i start balancing stuff will be worked over alot, but this is just for testing the template text for the increases, they wernt written well, so ill crack down on it too if the ones testing say it needs something.

Lost Will 0.0.2 (2017-05-14) (The Tutorial Story Milestone)

 

- Finished the story base for the tutorial zone

 

- plenty of mechanic changes/fixs

- hunger/thirst system finalized (Might still need balancing, but i think my inital setup should work)

- Start of the cleanliness stuff, not much there yet, but will be hooked in over the course of the next update

 

- Day/Night/Date System (Uses a non-realistic time basis, Major Ticks - minor ticks (atm 30 minor ticks = 1 major tick, every action uses 1 minor tick, some can take 1 major tick)

 

- Character Creation (Will be delt with in terms of character description/and in terms of interactiveness in sexual content, it MAY be worked into the story, alot of back and forth from people hating the idea and wanting the idea, but it was already somthing i was thinking about on terms of having it around in specific situations, like sex or npc interactions.

 

- Theres alot of other stuff but most of it is codebase, so not worth talking about in the long run.

Alright so tutorial story bits done, ill be going back to working on mechanics and fixing up stuff that needs it, as well as adding in more locations and jobs and so on through the tutorial area, as well as building the main open world area, once u reach the end of the story content i left a list of what all ill be working on, this one will probly take a long time to finish, and i wont be posting on every little thing, mostly just important shit or stuff needing testing, i will still keep a eye on the forums and answer questions or whatever else if people reply to the threads.
