changes npc textures mid game? Cause I tried using this one mod and it causes nothing but neck seams. I know scripted mods and such are a big no-no but what about texture esps?

Do those esps come with bsa files? You can't change textures with esps.

If they come with bsas, the esps are just dummies to make the game see the bsas. So it should be safe to uninstall.

This can cause harm, because esp wich contains NPC/NPC edits came always with exported facegen files (meshes/actor/character/FaceGenData/facegeom/... textures\actors\character\facegendata\facetint\....)

So If you remove a esp wich edit existing NPCs make sure to remove those files as well.

This is was case those neck seams btw, face use, e.g. another skin color than the body.

cheers.

Texture replacers will not have esp(so it might edit something other than texure) as they are typically just a texture folder, unless it is like an installer.

Though if u are 100% sure that the esp is purely texture, I don't see removing it will cause any harm.

Either ways if u wanna remove it just make a backup save and use savetool to clean the save.

It also has meshes in it. Possibly why it had the .esp

The most harm removing textures can do is just blackness where the textures use to be, so as long as nothing is required for it, its safe. As long as the theres no Script folders in it, im 99% sure its safe to remove.
