What would be the best method (software and tools) to import the "hd haydee" model (consist of a .vvd, .mdl, .vtx files) made by Kshell into the game? It seems that he/she tried with "edith", but the result was a lack of arms on the in-game model, so, I want to try a different approach. The model is pretty darn good and worth the try.

Author notes: Ok so the devs of “Haydee” released a mod toolkit for the game (and the actual source file of the haydee modell), so I decided to play around with it. You can actually port different models into the game! So I did just that with my own high poly model, and I got it working, kinda. As you can see the model lacks arms, this is because when I tried porting the model in with arms included, they had a totally wrong position, and I haven’t found yet how to fix it.

This may simply be a case of the Haydee model herself actually being composed of separate models for the head, arms, and rest of the body.  Modders already use this fact to easliy swap between heads and arms for a given body allowing to "mix and match".  The "Smooth Body" mod, for example, does something like what that author is saying: They made higher-poly-count models to replace Haydee while staying faithful to the original style, and the way that model works is by simply swapping in their models for the head, arms, and body separately.

The Haydee mods that don't have the arms and heads separate (that I'm aware of) are all built off of the "Haydee Human" and/or "Nude" mods, which have human arms and heads as part of the body's model (note though that these mods still keep the hands and hair as separate models even though the arms and heads are attached).

edit: To check whether this is the issue, simply enter the new *.mesh and *.skin file names into the body's portion of a *.outfit file that you know has everything working, and the result should be that everything works if the new body was made correctly.

i laugh soo much here....

 

i myself didnt have haydee on steam ( becaue personal reason, whatever)

i laugh when i see someone asked for a mod and get only answer " no, we not gonna break the rules or become thief blablabla "

 

the LL rules didnt say you should help pirate. the rules say you need to do that non publicly. peoples are free to take the game and do whatever they want. as for help.. its up to peoples to help or not, dont come with " this is against the rules " . the rules clearly mention " keep it to yourself " .

who ever want to help someone else can do it. in private. simple as that.

 

 

also... please keep in mind that we talk about mods.. not about the damn game. mods are free. i myself dont like the workshop, it always give me errors and stuff (no , its not an excuse) .

 

if you start to "pay" for mods... then something go really wrong. i will NEVER buy a game because i like his mods, this is non sens. i buy a game because i like the game, not because i like the mod.

 

so, once again... make things clear.

 

whoever want to post here another link to the workshop mods are free to do so. mods are free and its in no way considered as piracy.

 

( oh surprise ! you can download shit-tons of mods here for skyrim that are available only on workshop , and nobody complain about this )

 

helping about a pirated game is against the rule. helping about mods is not against the rules, whatever they are on workshop or not.

 

just post the mods. if someone ask for the mod outside of workshop, then he look around, if he didnt find and ask, then you free to answer that person via PM.

 

 

and if what i just say here is against LL rules.. then i officially ask an moderator to ban me definitly from here. because i dont uderstand AT ALL  how can you consider modding as piracy.

This is how I did it and it works. Open the outfit file and edit the common line to false.  Or you can change the ragdoll to say Haydee2.doll and it also works. You dont have to use the line that says slot.

What the hell?!

 

I had the TnA Ultimate Mei mod installed and I loved it. But I go to play today because why not and the mod no longer exists. It is not in my game file any longer and when I checked the Steam Workshop, it's just gone. It's like it never existed. What happened? And is there ANY way I can get that mod back and install it manually into my game file because that mod was awesome.

Yeah I hear ya there. That is kind of the downside to the workshop. You are at the whim of the author. Granted that is as it should be since it is their work but still. So if the author removes it from their steam workshop domain then it will cease to work for anyone that had previously downloaded it. Granted there are ways around this. There is a unpacker and packer program that comes with Haydee that can be used on the workshop content. Basically if you want to keep your workshop downloads safe in case that 'disappear' then you can unpack them with the unpacker and all the loose files can just hang out in your game directory.

From what I am hearing, the Mei mod, along with many others, were removed by admins for copyright reasons. There is a possibility that the author may have the mod offsite so if I could get the files, I could install them into my game to use.

Mods clearly not violating any Copyright rules are removed too*.
The Workshop is currently completely empty and you can only acess some mods when clicking on the "subscribed mods" button. From there a lot of mods are available and those aren't removed from your game.
Other mods (depicting nude erect penisses or featuring copyrighted material are removed from your game too).

FOR THE FUTURE:
If you subscribe to any mods, go into the folowing Folder:
Go to your main Steam Directory where you find "Steam.exe from there you go:
.....steamapps\workshop\content\530890\
In the Folders there you find the mod packages (named like this, for example: "Halter.pack")

You can copy them to: .....\steamapps\common\Haydee\Packs\
Or drag them onto the Unpacker.exe you will find in .....\steamapps\common\Haydee\

That will unpack the Contents and you can for example drag Outfits into the OUtfits Folder.


*) For example the new menues that add nothing but a new pose and some turning of the character you selected are gone too (whith those mods a problem could be that the Autor used copyrighted characters for the screenshots).

I second this motion. All I want is the Ultimate TnA Nude Mei mod. That was my absolute favorite mod and it infuriates me that it's gone. More so because I didn't back up the file because I never considered the idea that it would be removed. I only need that file because it complimented my game beautifully.

Releasing on the steam workshop was always a bad idea and I've been backing up every nude mod released on there because I knew this would happen. Had I seen this thread earlier I'd have posted my archive of every nude mod ever released for this game but someone else thankfully already has.

 

Surprised the main menu animations went down though, I hadn't actually backed those up since I thought they'd stay since they aren't objectionable content in any way. I guess the lesson is learned. No matter what the mod is, if it's steam workshop exclusive, search for and save that file elsewhere so WHEN it's taken down you can still enjoy it. Archivists always win.

Yeah the main menu animations were a cool mod.

recently  I  found  in steam workshop a good mod made by SIMPLESIM7

Darn, if only I saw this. I came late just to found out about this. Just bought Haydee from Steam today. Went to steam and look for mods that was uploaded from authors such as SimpleSim7. Turns out it no longer exist. And then I came here to this page just to find out why. LOL, I should of came here first before I bought the game. TBH, I looked at the Steam workshop and the amount of mods there aren't that many for this game despite what had happen to the mods that were uploaded by that author for example.
