White bodies on mod created NPC's

I am using the mod TTW crowded cities.  I add a bunch of generic NPC's to the game.  many of these have a Bleached white body that does not match the head.

I found a thread that says the MOD ESP needs to be changed to an ESM, so the body and head match.  I did this and the Body and head now match.  However, I get CTD on entering certain places, like underworld.  If I leave it as an ESP no CTD, change to ESM CTD.

BTW I used FNVEdit to change the ESP to ESM in the file header, as per a youtube vid.

Any ideas what to do?

That´s quite strange.

Never had a problem like this before.

I´m using TESnip (part of FO3 ModManager) to make masterfiles from esps...

TESnip ALWAYS worked for me.

Either give it a try or mail me your esp and let metry it, I´ll make it master and send it back.

First of all;

Don´t forget to check if there is a loadorder / masterfile problem.

It is possible, that your modded "crowded cities" is a masterfile for some other mod. if you change the ending from esp to esm it might not be found as masterfile.

AFAIK, the only downside an ESM causes comes if the ESP already had issues

Try this esm. Just tested it myself and It worked fine for me.

Made with TESnip ( open esp, then "spells" - "make esm" - done )

Still get the same CTD at underworld door.

I put the ESP back and removed the ESM and tried moving the ESP up in the load order to just after the ESM's to see if that was the problem, but the Door worked with an ESP, Not with the ESM.

What about this one

CrowdedCities_v2.esm

I don´t think it is only the crowded city mod. I just tried to play with it for a while now and had no problems, in underworld not either.

Is there another mod in your list that might need crowdedcities.esp as a masterfile?

He removed the entries for the Underworld Concourse...

But strangely, there was no problem in my gameplay...

I guess the ITM on the Underworld cell was causing a conflict with some other ESM in your load order. Since the mod seemed pretty straight and legit, it wouldn't be bad to understand why the modder left that ITM, sometimes they are left for specific reasons (at least, I do leave them for specific reasons)

PS - never use TESSnip

Don´t underestime this little tool ;)

It helped in so many ways and it´s the best and most easy way to take back masterfile entries, or if you accidently deleted something importent

I don't underestimate a tool that was proved more than once to destroy records. Anyway, yours the choice.
