3D Pubic Hair for Fo4

Just wanted to drop by and say how much I'm loving this. One thing I wanted to ask, though. I have the hair color version, and it seems that it doesn't apply the pubic hair to all female NPCs: is that intentional, or is my game just messing with me a bit?

 

Followers (companions) don't get it, only NPC's. Not sure why. It may have to do with SLM.

Are you using a Unique Followers type mod? They wouldn't be using the standard meshes if so. 

 

 

Nope. I don't use unique followers.

Ah I see, but for some reason the modified outfit is not affected by the bodyslide sliders, only the body. 

 

Edit: Forget it, I could partially solve it, although it still has some flaws, especially in footwear. Thanks for the help and for the mod.

Once imported (and the junk body deleted) select (so its highlighted) the pubic hair and go to the top bar (top left of the window) click 'slider' and then 'conform selected' (not 'conform all') give it a moment to do it and then save the project (as something new or overwrite).

 

As long as you select the hair and use conform selected it should not mess with the clothes morphs.

Is there a way to have this affect more than 1 pubic hair mesh? I used outfit studio to put more than 1 of your pubic hairs into the same file but it will only load the one mesh from the file. I'm trying it with the color version so I can have the color I want. 

 

I guess how to change VX PubicHair.esp so that it can accept more than 1 mesh in the same file. Or if it can attach multiple files to have the same effect.

If you are looking for a specific pubic hair style but don't see it in this mod then post a request (i guarantee nothing though).
Just be as descriptive as you can when you do.

Hi everyone,

 

I came up with an admittedly kludgey way to get the 3d hair only on the people I wanted it for without using 'Unique Player' or creating custom races/etc.

 

I created the stripped-down esp file that I've attached to this post, which includes only the headpart entry for the pubic hair. Then, starting with my player, I exported each person's face from looksmenu. I opened the .json files in Notepad++ and added the following line to the headparts register:

 

"VX Pubic Hair headpart only.esp|000800"

 

I also terminated the previous line with a comma to ensure a clean read.

 

I then went back into Fallout 4, took the actor in question back into looksmenu, and loaded the updated preset. That character now has the 3d pubic hair. 

 

This allows my slaves extremely diligent settlers to look right in the Vault-Tec Slavesuits without everyone else having a major hair escape problem in their pants. 

 

Needless to say, this .esp file requires all the assets from this mod, including meshes from Bodyslide, to function properly.

Small (and disappointing) update to my previous post. The technique I described works for the player, but does not appear to work for NPC actors. It seems that NPCs will not respect head data changes from SLM, so they will ignore the headpartt edits to the preset file. I'm investigating ways to work around this.

You don't use these as your defaco body in bodyslide.

 

You use Cherry's.

 

However, you *DO* select it in your list when you go to morph........!!

Morph? Could someone explain this bit? Is there a way to load features from a different body using LooksMenu?

I've been able to export each hair style to it's own NIF and TRI file. So I have 18 pubic hair styles available. Next, using FO4Edit I copied the single HeadPart record into a new esp file 18 times. Then I edited each of those 18 records to point to the NIF files. Then I opened up my llamaCompanionHeather.esp file for testing and added one of the new pubic hair HeadParts to her list of HeadParts. Viola! Instant pubes!

 

Now, there's just one issue, they show when she wears clothes. Is this a scripting issue that can't be solved by FS4E yet? Or can I assign the pubic hair to a slot and have it disappear when she's wearing pants?

I've read and re-read these comments and I'm perplexed. Why is it that you cant just make this like a clothing mod? Make the pubes take a panty slot or something. I'm no modder, just wondering why you cant do that.

Greetings! i just have one question since i didn't find a helpful comment : why do i see the pubic hair only on my character? i have the color changing one. but npcs and raiders dont have it. And tell me how to make it work on everyone. Many Thanks

Im using the body replacer version and everything works but number 15. It appears in bodyslide and nifscope, but if i load my body in outfit studio, and most importantly in game, it doesnt appear. If anyone knows a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.

Fixed and uploaded, turns out it was missing segment data..

You MUST select morph, or none of the physics & specialized activities (IE: pregnancy) won't show up. Some clothing won't show up either.

You MUST install the morphs in the CBBE body install.........Otherwise nothing will work!

No, not really it was made before they existed, the body replacer version builds it with the normal CBBE body The colour change version might work with it as long as the slider data for the reduced version matches the regular.

I would have to grab and install the reduced version to see.

Maybe Im a bit weird but I like no.13 at most. Don't plan to make a even bushier version if it in the future? I would use no. 8 too, but, I don't like that it covers the unmentionables.

Regardless thanks for the work, those rough ones suit the world of Fallout.

Ok, first I'll say I'm not sure if this is possible but...

 

I already have a particular body morph for BodySlide from another Mod on LL "CBBEVaginaMorphsPhysics", is there some way to merge that with one of the" Body PubicHairs"?

 

I did some playing around in Outfit Studio but I either lost all the sliders or it looked really strange so I clearly have no idea what the hell I'm doing.

In OS start a new project, in the 'from template' drop down select the body you want (CBBEVaginaMorphsPhysics).

Click next and give it a name, then in the 'outfit/mesh' section click browse then navigate to "Data\Tools\BodySlide\ShapeData\Body PubicHair" all the nifs are in there select the one you want.

Click finish, select the hair and at the top go to 'sliders > conform selected' then check the slides move it with the body.

Then you just save the project 'output file name should be "FemaleBody"' and 'output data path should be "meshes\actors\character\characterassets"' keep 'copy referance shape into output' checked.

 

That's about it, if there are sliders that you don't want affecting it then (with the hair selected) click the sliders pencil icon to highlight it and at the top go to sliders > delete slider.

 

 

As for the mega links I'm not sure, there not even appearing for me, the re-placer version is fine but I'll have to dig out the colour changing one and upload it directly to LL.

Vioxsis, thanks very much for your help after some fumbling around I got it working!    Outfit Studio seems to add an extra CBBE model (I think it's because yours is a replacer so probably has that in it too), so I deleted the extra copy.   The sliders -> conform selected seems to be the "very important step" I had been missing.

Okay, so I am very much an amateur at NifSkope.  I tried making my own edit of this by adding two extra fluffs under the arms to test adding a mesh to another area of the body.  It shows up in game with the correct hair color and all, but the problem is that the hair floats and moves around the body.  Even I can tell that they are rigged to the wrong bones, but I have no idea how to get it to be attached to the shoulder/upper arm bones.  Heck, even making it static would probably work just fine, but again I don't know how to separate it from the original bones.

 

Any help would be appreciated!
