morgananinuala Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 So, I'm looking for a way to make a piece of invisible furniture (DLC2RieklingPray) usable by the PC. ...how do I do that? I've got it's interaction keyword set to ActorTypeNPC like normal furniture, and given it a name (pray to Molag Bal) but I still can't interact with it.
Kendo 2 Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 The player can't use invisible furniture like lean wall makers and so on. You need something to interact with and click on. I suggest a rug since it's flat. Just extract a vanilla rug mesh from the BSA, copy the rug object's NiNode and paste it into your furniture nif. Other Considerations I would add the Force3rdPerson keyword to your furnitture in the CK since there aren't any 1st person animations. The animations are meant for reiklings and most likely the bone positions are specific to that creature. The playable races will probably look weird/distorted when using the furniture.
morgananinuala Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 Oh, cool! Thanks, I'll give that a try! Also, haven't seen you in a month or two, welcome back!
Kendo 2 Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 If you try the rug bit I forgot to mention that Nifscope will probably rename the rug object when you paste it into the furniture nif. The first line in your furniture nif will probably be a BSFadeNode. Rename the rug you paste in to match that fadenode and add the suffix '01' So if the BSFadeNode is named ReiklingFurniture the rug you add should be ReiklingFurniture01. Don't ask me why, that's just the best way to get the game to translate what you're adding. If you don't do that the game might crash on cell load.
