asdew Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 so i recently re-downloaded skyrim. when i try to launch it i get error message that says that SKSE is not installed i'm using NMM. that is then followed by mods that ain't working because SKSE ain't work it then says that I've not got the correct version of skyrim but it says that i'm running skyrim 1.93.08 (or something along that line but it is the correct one) any help would be greatly appreciated.

RitualClarity Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 If a warning about incorrect version is popping up you likely have the wrong version of SKSE. Make sure your Skyrim is updated to the current version and then get the most current version of SKSE and you should be fine. Remember to manually install it and not install it through NMM.

Wrong or not updated version of Skyrim, Wrong versionof Skse for your Skyrim and installation was done wrong. There are really only three possible problems for the error that you are reporting that I know of.

myuhinny Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Their problem was that they installed SKSE with NMM (nexus mod manager) and that was the reason why SKSE wasn't working for them. SKSE has to be installed manually just like the oblivion and fallout versions.

Just mentioning it in case you think I didn't understand their problem
