What's wrong with the forums? :C

Would someone be so kind to explain, why I can't paste copied links or even text into the forums and why I have to type everything by hand if I want it to show up? I'm getting tired with the handwritten-link-orgy. :C

 

Plus, trying to use the tools the forum provides doesn't seem to work either. Either I type all BB code by hand, or it just won't function, not to mention that I can't even cancel any window opened by some tool anymore. The only thing that helps is to completely close the tab in IE and reload LL.

Yes, I'm still using IE, don't judge me for that

 

I can't even change the font-size of my signature. Even if I put in the proper BB code, as soon as I save it, it behaves as if I had never used a size changing code at all. Took me ages to get the yellow color to work, but that was all I could manage.

 

Any help besides the infamous "Don't use IE" comment? ^^"

To be honest it doesn't sound like a issue with the site. It sounds more like a issue with your browser.

I use chrome I haven't used that browser in a long long time. When I have trouble with something not appearing correctly or things getting messed up I copy and paste everything into notebook then copy and cut it out and paste it into the box. It fixes the copy and paste white block crap words getting added to a link when they are not suppose to be and some other problems. But if nothing works I would put internet eek out of it's misery and change to either chrome or firefox.

Poor IE :C 

Well I have Chrome installed anyway, as I use it for webskype, because chrome lets you - thank god - invert its colors and change the nastily bright skype into a decent dark one. 

 

As far as I can tell as of right now, Chrome seems to solve the issues I have. I miss my IE though.

Been around since DOS as well. xD 

The thing with IE is mostly for convenience. I've been using Greenbrowser which depended on IE to be installed but offered tabbed browsing and quickfavs and stuff like that when IE was still an inconvenient multi-window mess. 

Went back to use IE when it was finally able to do all these things itself.

Today, it's just the quickfav bar I'm using like crazy. Edge doesn't have an option for icons only, so I can't get everything important to me into a single line - so I don't use it. XD

Chrome... if Chrome had that option (didn't find one as of now) I'd LOVE that thing, especially for its addons like inverting pages on the fly while excluding pictures/videos and stuff. I just NEED that for my eyes. >.<

 

Well you see, it's mostly a question of features. So I'm using IE for my everyday life and Chrome for its candy  Google knows me better than I know myself anyway so... like I care. ^^
