Fallout 1.5 Resurrection

Hey everyone,

If you're a fan of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, you should check out "Fallout Resurrection", created by a dedicated team of Czech modders:

http://resurrection.cz/en/

The English translation just released last week, and the mod is basically a completely new episode in the Fallout universe. It boasts a new map, new towns, new quests, weapons and enemies, and is done (and translated) to a professional standard. I've already spent several hours on it, and it is estimated you can spend quite a long time just to complete the main quest. It's basically a game in itself.

So if you're a fan of the original Fallout's, its worth checking it out!

The Czech Republic is a malware/cybercrime mecca. Is the download confirmed safe?

As a Czech..I take this remark personally, mate.. ..malware/cybercrime mecca...what?...how the fuck you came up with this? I think it's various russian sites you're talking about...  <_<

..and yeah, the download is safe.

I have been waiting for this.   In fact, I bought a copy of Fallout 2 on Steam when it was cheaper on the summer sale a couple weeks ago, partly so I could have a copy of it in my steam library, and partly just for this.

I can confirm and vouch the site (and download) is safe. I would not have posted it otherwise.

Does it have any adult content?

Tons. Just like FO1-2. It's literally like the old dev team got together and made an expansion  :)

Played it a bit today. Feels like it was made by/for powergamers who play as male characters. Tough enemies, simplistic and boring dialogues and quests and seemingly no adult content for female characters. I got bored pretty quickly and I doubt I'll be able to play the rest of it. Otherwise it's a decent mod. By the way, FO and other old 2D games run pretty well on an Windows XP VM, in case you're worried about malware etc.

FYI. My "perk at every level" script seems to work with it with no issues.

Edit: Using the regular SFall with this mod is not possible without recompiling it. You have to use the custom one included in the mod (otherwise global scripts won't work due to the difference in the directory structure).

Yeah, I agree the enemies are way too tough at the start. They start rocking power armour, flamethrowers and rocket launchers while you're still with metal armour and assault rifles.

As for the female content, it's there, but not something you'll find at a glance. Naturally there are all the prostitutes in the various city brothels, but I was also able to sleep with a bartender, and even a male client at one of the Brothels too. I also seduced some information out of a criminal for a quest, and it's heavily hinted the raider boss in one of the towns wants to sleep with you. I didn't find the female side really lacking to be honest.

Wow, it's like you actually played the rest of the game. heh

Found the bartender and the brothel, and I still think the same. Having sex with this revolting bartender costs you 10 karma and you gain nothing. Why would anyone do that, unless they're trying to reduce their karma score? The brothel doesn't even care if the character is female, all you get is male dialogues to fuck prostitutes and nothing else. Almost all quests/dialogues are gender neutral, or rather, all made for male characters specifically. Made by males, for males (or who play as males), like most other RPGs.

Edit:

Don't bother with this mod if you're going to play as a female character. Not only you won't find any special content for your character, but most of the time being there, doing quests as a female character won't make much sense. Charisma/speech characters will no doubt have a difficult time as well.

You could say the same about FO1-2. Anyway, if it's not your cup of tea, then just don't play it. Geez.

That's not the only problem with this mod however. As I've said before, it was clearly made for powergamers or for certain character builds. The mod is too difficult for certain character builds and doesn't scale well at all. That's not the case for FO1/2.

Anyway, if it's not your cup of tea, then just don't play it. Geez.

Thanks for reminding.

Even though the execution isn't all that great, I believe this modest mod has a better story than the "must find my dad/son/uncle/aunt..." nonsense.

BTW, I've found two more adult encounters for the female PC in addition to the ones posted above, both related to raiders.

It is like Fallout 1,2 if you don´t like RPG don´t play it.

If you prefer FPS where you start in power armor and minigum and whole game runing forward and holding left mouse button go play Fallout 4
