Just merged my sexout plugins together..

I was up near 250 mods, and having an insane amount of problems not having heard of the nerfed mod limit on NV before.. I FINALLY got my textures and stuff to stop freaking out by merging my .esps with a utility called Merge Plugins--only to find Sexout Assault screaming at me that I renamed the esp and its the end of the world :C tbh the only thing i noticed is that MCM isn't working for the merged plugins, the settings such as hotkeys are still the same, but Sexout Intimacy seems to have forgotten the npcs ive already initialized. For the most part I could just never change a sexout setting again and enjoy my game being the most stable its ever been.. but im worried more problems might pop up? and i would like to be able to use MCM for sexout..

apparently this can break NVSE too: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25259-important-re-merging-and-patching/

well.. too late ;-; ?

i have backups form about 18 hours of modding behind, but this is just my fallout install folder.. HALP!

It always useful to understand what You doing before do this.

Never ever merge mods that have MCM. Ths IS possible, but ONLY for skilled scripter who able to port MCM content to merged mod manually. MCM core understand only one MCM frame for one .esp/.esm and not otherwise.

Also SO mods are pretty complicated scripted mods so merging process needs a lot of patience and caution. Even me who has some experience in modding prefer to make changes to some mods in separate .esp.

If You want play sexout - play sexout. If You want play modded New Vegas with content and stuff - play New Vegas with a very few SO mods like SexoutSex or Intimacy and there will be no mod limit problem. ;)

A lot of Sexout mods have scripts checking to see if other mods are installed. Additionally, it'll usually mess up form IDs, which will lead to thinks like losing progress in any quests that are in Sexout mods and even make the game unable to recognize certain NPCs.

The only mods that are safe to merge, in general, are weapon and armor mods.

NEVER merge any Sexout or other heavily scripted mods you might as well merge every mod you have.............

The only thing you should ever merge is simple clothing/weapons mods.

Seriously if you have 250 mods you are pulling yourself if you think they will all work together or you will even play all those hundreds of quests/places/items in a playthrough.

Well actually I work in modders team (falcon lair) who made huge (HUGE) mod compilation that contains about 600 mods in it and all they work fine together (users already played hundreds of hours and their savegames are fine; I have about 300+ hours of gameplay too). But it was few years (!) of hard work to make it. x) Of course it is totally impossible by just merging mods - this method most likely just will brake the game.

Well I should have clarified as to meaning the sort of person who needs to ask this question after they try and merge 3 different prostitution mods then hassle the crap out of mod authors with bug reports coming from the other modders works being bashed together into one file.

"MCM won't work, I merged your mod and it completely broke Sexout, your mod sux!"

Yup, I meant exactly the same in my first post in this thread, heh. :)
