I have juggled some mods a bit but I am still crashing right after skyrim logo starting up game. If there is something else I should post to get help, please be patient and let me know and I will do it. I am just frustrated and wondering what is causing this currently as using the above mentioned programs has always solved my issue or issues before. swords and sandals Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 You have the unofficial patch and the unofficial legendary patch there. I'd say get rid of the now-outdated USKP and just use USLEEP. At the very best having USLEEP makes USKP a wasted slot, and also USLEEP should be immediately below Dragonborn in your order. Might not be the cause of the crash but it's hopefully a start.
Gameplayer Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I tried to read the Mods list looking for a missing masterfile but my eyes just went all double vision on me. Perhaps run the list through TesVedit also known as Xedit. This will stop processing your load list when it finds a missing masterfile and it also tells you the name of said master file. You really need to run this through LOOT You need Merge Patch from TesVedit and You need a Bash Patch from WyreSmash

I followed the instructions and my skyrim does not even make it to the skyrim symbol with that done. LOOT says everything fine, TESVedit says everything is fine. I am really puzzled currently, but thanks for you suggestions and help. hugs PS I ran wrye smash and there were only 2 bashable esps, i actually deactivated both those as they were non essential to anything, and still a crash after skyrim symbol.
myuhinny Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 From your first post I would suggest that you throw BOSS away unless you also have oblivion as you can use it for that anything else you don't use it as it is old outdated and no longer being supported. Are you using any types of ENB's? If so try disabling them and see if they are the cause. USLEEP is all patches and everything added into one file. One thing you could try is to disable all mods and try to start the game if it crashes then you know that something has messed up your files if it doesn't crash then start the process for turning a few mods on atm time and keep doing it till you crash then go back and turn one off at a time till you find the culprit also make sure when you turn something back on that if it has a master/masters that you turn them back on as well or you will crash.
RedMonika Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Try adding EnableDiagnostics=1 under [General] in SKSE.ini this will or hopeful display a box to show if a mod or something like that is missing when it crashes. There's a TESEdit script that you can use that will run through the mods and swap out UKSP for USLEEP but really that shouldn't crash your game. I have both installed when quickly testing something. Alli72 Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Well, I did have that line in my skse.ini, and no box has been showing up. I thank you for the advice as I had forgotten it was there and was good to check that. I use mod organizer, so I can boot the vanilla game and it boots fine. I had not tried that though, so thanks again =) I do run an enb, but it was working fine easter weekend. And the enb works fine on my visual only prpfile (a profile I set up without LL mods so I could show the visual to friends who ask about game without worrying about a kid running in the room). I will sleep on it, disable enb just in case on my full mod profile and see tomorrow. Thanks for all the ideas guys, you have been very helpful, slowly whittling down the causes. I may have to disable skyre and asis (as subtracting and adding files with those installed get annoying running jar files over and over and over again lol)..then slowly subtract and add mods until i figure out what is causing the problem if enb totally ruled out. Also, I was running all the unofficials at once so maybe it screwed something up. Thanks again everyone! hugs
Tefajo Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 If you get a crash as soon as you get to main menu it means one out of two: 1 - You are missing a master file (a mod in your load order requires another mod that is missing). For this you can do any of the suggestion provided by other forum members (Loot, TES5edit). If you are using Mod Organizer this program should be already warning you of this situation (check the list of plugins on the right panel and look for any mod with a "!" on the side). 2 - Its an ENB thing. Either you left ENB files from a previous installation or something is not configured correctly
