I am now getting like japanese sites type download speed. this suxx.. What happened to fast downloads.
Vaelorian Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Download speeds are as fast as they were before for me. Could be a sever issue or what-have-you.
myuhinny Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 If you haven't done so try running malwarebytes anti malware remover and whatever virus remover you are using to make sure you don't have something installed that is causing it.
Guest Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 NEWS! NEWS! NEWS! (Downloading issues) if you have problems with downloading the mods via NMM, it is due to Nexus migration to a new server. So, the best way is to download mods using "Manual Download" button until Nexus fully moves to a new server. Even manual download of large files may cause problems. Patience is required until migration process finish.
D_ManXX2 Posted May 21, 2016 Author Posted May 21, 2016 Yes that must be it. right now there download speed feels like running on potato's.
7KeysCurtain Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Hey D_Man, I like your FNV animations. Personally I use Internet Download Manager (IDM) software when doing any big download from any website, especially Nexus. It's not freeware but for the time/bandwidth it's saved me has been worth every dollar, there are free alternatives out there such as EagleGet but I don't know if it's as good. Example: Say I have a near 600MB download going from Nexus and right around 550MB it times out or fails for what ever reason. Rather than getting upset and having to restart the download from scratch and waste time, I can right click on the failed download in IDM and click "Refresh download address". I go back to the download page on Nexus and start the download again, IDM will see that and automatically apply that new download address. The download will resume downloading from where it left off and that saves me time and saves the Nexus 550MB of bandwidth that I would have had to download again. Faster downloads too for Nexus when comparing my download speed the using in-built Chrome downloader (Around 500 KB/s) and with IDM (1 MB/s). Hope that helps, for years big file downloads from Nexus have always been a pain for me and Nexus is the main reason I got IDM.
