guk Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Taffington Boathouse progressing. Floating shacks are growing, towed a barge in there and started with a gate + walls. Another topic: I always found one thing very annoying about Sim Settlements, that the regular plots look terrible when you put all of them on the standard foundations. Here's a more elegant solution, piling up car wrecks and all kind of junk. Even got room for a cozy party basement. The mod Border Junk is perfect for the irregular junk floors.
guk Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Jamaica Plains Had unlocked Jamaica Plains the other night, and left with just the absolute minimum build-up. Then got a settlement attack there, thanks to MAGomBZ there were like 5+ groups of top-level Super Mutants equipped with Missile Launchers and Personal Miniguns / WH-Mk19. After arriving there i made a breakthrough into the church, luckily they couldn't go in there for some reason. Though it was nearly impossible to get any kills, just peeking out at any window was immediately answered by a shower of missiles, grenades and HMG fire. And those guns from Skibadaa's weapon pack really hurt. In short: Epic 20-minutes battle for a simple settlement defense. So i started turning the place into a wasteland fortress that you actually want to defend. barred most windows with plywood and planks, so it's safe to walk around inside guard posts and sandbags on the sniper's nest on top tactical bridge in the back (might lead to more buildings in the future) patched most holes in the roof a few turrets as support wind generators on the side USA Flag, otherwise you couldn't tell we're in the USA Warning sign and safety nets for the roof! The reverend's house on the side is also a death trap, so i fortified it with some extra love. City Planner's Desk for the Minutemen General
