Ideas for a cursed roleplay?

Developing a good purpose for a character is always difficult. Intangible goals get old after a while. What I've found recently is having a concrete goal makes the roleplay like a quest and makes it a lot easier to stick with the character.

Background:

My current playthrough is with Sinister Seven, where my character was being pursued. It also gave my character a tangible reason to frantically grow stronger (and pursue specific quest lines) to survive the Sinister Seven and eventually take down the Last Boss. Having finished that objective, my character will now attempt to "disappear" and start over by changing hair styles and equipment style and avoiding contact with the last faction joined.

Mod topic:

Since my character is trying to disappear and have a fresh start, that also means a need for new goals. One idea that came to mind that seemed like it could have some longevity was if the character became "cursed" somehow and the background objective would be to try and find a way to dispel the curse while exploring Skyrim.

Any ideas on this? I don't really want to do a Vampire/Wearwolf playthrough since it doesn't fit my character (very high disease resistance). Any other ideas, mod or otherwise?

How about playersuccubus quest?

Your character gets cursed and turns into a succubus/ Incubus(?)

Unless you feed of other npc trough sex you will die and you kill them in the process. So it's either kill or be killed.

What about the cure part? I also try to avoid sex-focused playthroughs. I want my character fighting and adventuring instead.

It doesn't have to be sex focused, I dont like that either. It's enough for me to feed once a week with my settings.

Your character could ask him/herself,

Who gave you this curse and why? What exactly have you become? Are there others out there like you?

You could play the good guy and not wanting to feed but as you grow more and more hungry you just can't stop yourself from feeding. And when you come around to your senses you have already killed a victim.  You might want to end your life but you want to find the one responsible for this and stop him etc...

Get too aroused and you will (if you want in mcm) auto transform to succubus form which will turn people hostile to you. Also spells cast by succubus drains your energy making you weaker. It could be an interesting and challenging way to play.

Maybe eventually the dark side will take over and your character starts enjoying what it does and the power it gains from it.

As for a cure. there is none that I know of ( quest wise ) It would be an endless search unless you rp it and combine another random quest mod that fits with a cure.

The curse needs to be game mechanic? If not you can always role play that curse.

Yes, a game mechanic. Or something tangible, including the cure.

In my opening post, I made the point of wanting to have a tangible and concrete goal.

Edit: I'm open to alternatives to the curse idea as well. I was mainly thinking of a curse because it gives a tangible reason to wandering Skyrim with a purpose (i.e. finding the cure). Additionally, a curse leaves the character in a negative condition so there is real importance to finding the curse. A relic hunter or tomb raider could think "it'd be nice if I could find X", but a cursed character instead thinks "I MUST find X at all costs!"

This gives it more longevity as well. A relic hunter could get bored after finding lots of treasure from dungeons after a while b/c without a purpose to that wealth, it will get boring. Whereas to a cursed character, those treasures are just secondary and could be funding to buy better equipment to delve into more dangerous dungeons. Because the character will keep delving into dungeons until that cure is found.

I'm open to any other ideas that creates a negative starting condition, and it's up to the character to make things right. It doesn't have to be limited to the character like a curse. Maybe the character opens Pandora's box (this part doesn't have to happen in-game) and some apocalypse-type scenario unfolds, and now it's up to the character to try to put a stop to it.

My character is a human-Daedra hybrid (she had a Daedric father) so I made all Vigilants hostile to her -- the roaming patrols provided by Extended Encounters attack her on sight. Depending on the nature of the curse you want to use, you could make one or more factions hostile to your character until the curse is lifted. It's pretty easy to change faction relations in CK.

A "Defeat/Beeing Female/Milk Mod Economy/Skooma Whore/Skooma Whore:Addicted/Prison Overhaul + Patches/iNeeds/Weight Morphs, (Set to getting slower as you get fatter & Potions count as High level food)/Apropos wear & tear and SM Essential character where you lose all your stuff on ghostification" setup can lead to a somewhat cursed existence. The goal obviously being not to get into a pickle in the first place.

That is a certainly interesting mod setup. I'll have to remember that for the future. It might be interesting to see what a setup like that would be like when playing the game.
