Nazzzgul666 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Against Anatriax's opinion i don't think you should install all of them though Especially the overhauls aren't necessary (for me), and partly depricated because they are quite old, like the guide itself. So read the descriptions carefully, sometimes a mod is just outdated and you'll find a new version somewhere else. Other things depend on your tastes and how you'd like to play. Do you mod a game with a character at lvl 250? Or do you start a new game? If you start a new game, do you want to make a complete playthrough with all quests and clearing all locations? Then don't install too much mods, and keep a save before you add another one. If yo just want to try some mods, use a new game and if you think something doesn't work, try again.

Than click yourself through the sites and check out what turns you on. Also, the first 1-2 sites contain pretty basic stuff that almost anyone uses due to dependencies and stuff

Tentacus Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Depends greatly on what kind of character you want to play. Good , bad, or neutral? Whether you want things to get violent and nasty, and if so whether you want to be perpetrator or victim? One mod I can highly recommend for any "normal" playthrough Is Amorous adventures. It adds a ton of Immersion to the game. There's a little bit in there for any type of character. Defeat and submit despite their violent and nasty content also both have features that are useful even for a total good guy who doesn't want to be victimized playtthrough, and are highly configurable and useful. One for instance: Say your follower is essential and they are downed in a hard fight. You can use Defeat to revive them like in Gears of War! Just my two cents.

If you use every option it will keep you quite busy though, reduce the options you don't like.

Agree with your there, but you really really want to change the base settings or you are going to be trusted up like a turkey before you leave Bleakfalls. Hell first time I ran it on default settings I got completely wrapped up on the first chest

Hell first time I ran it on default settings I got completely wrapped up on the first chest If that happens once it would still be ok for me, but with default options it will happen again before you could find enough keys to get completley free, you have to play cursed loot instead of Skyrim then

You may find later that you don't like some of the mods but that's ok, you can go back and make mod changes any time after the fact. It's a great way to learn. Once you get this set up then figure out what mods you like, and break your game, fix it, rinse repeat. And get used to it. lol
