Guest Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Anyone heard of this game?If so,are you looking forward on playing it? Indentity is the LIfe Sim that i always imagine in my head. Its heavely rp based game.Where you can interact/socialize with other ppl.You can roleplay as Cop/Criminal/Paramedic you can even design your clothing and open a store and sale it to other players.Btw there is alot of feaures and game mechanics that left off,i m lazy. For more info you can check there site out (here) ,they go into what you can do in the game. You can also rent your own Private Server to play with friends and others. With player cap up to 300 players, for both Official/Private servers.Who knows maybe create a LL sevrver ! There is only one thing missing of this already dream game. And that is ,modding support might not be implemented. That sucks bc i wanted some adults mods to play with other ppl online, they said there would be stripclubs and wat not,and the servers that you own you can custimize it so much that modding wont be needed...It would be perfect if it had mod support. The game is estimated for a beta maybe late this year or early 2017.They gonna release contend mid this year i believe, for the ppl that backed the game on the kickstarter page.To test the modules link (here). Official overview by the game devs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQeuc7fAYyQ
bjornk Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Watched the video, checking their website right now. Sounds interesting, thanks for sharing. Although, in my opinion a proper "life sim" should include a reproduction/sex system by default, even if it's just a black screen (or dialogue-based) and not with explicit sex scenes. Without that it's just another "game".
Kaz Aanh Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 another real life simulator zZz i want to escape reality not replay it
Vykroft Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 mmm no thanks, I prefer good old fashion, dungeon carver MMO..Anyway thank for sharing.

bjornk Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Oh, yeah, as if players can't abuse anything else in a game... Always the same excuse from spineless devs...
Kaz Aanh Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 How can you abuse sex and procreation lol do they think i would breed kids 24/7 and make pickles out of them to sell on the black market?
Guest Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 LOL.Its more of how adult oriented this game is. For instense, you can make & sell drugs and what not.I think they don't want to mix those two things. As for the sex thing, they want there game to be twitch/youtube friendly.Twich has blacklisted several games like yandere simulator.
Kaz Aanh Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Why would anyone watch someone in real life roleplaying real life in the video game. game will flop
Guest Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Why would anyone watch someone in real life roleplaying real life in the video game. game will flop Its more of role play game than anything else. Its all about the interaction with other players and It depents with who your playing with. The rp community its pretty large by it self.Wich consist by modded games like arma 3,garrys mod,gta san andreas etc.Indetity is the first true "RPG" (non text based) game ever to be released.

Sweatington Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Does it have PvP though? Yes,it has. Does it really though? A lot of things get called "PvP" these days, but it's really just two people hammering buttons away at each other untill the RNG decides the victor. The video was vauge about it all, so meh.

Kaz Aanh Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Well the age of roleplaying and social MMO has ended long time ago. Early WoW had those elements now you have quene up and forget. I used to play a lot of Ragnarok Online and community was very social and friendly, the entire game design was build around this. Soon or sooner you met some people either way and you had to cooperate or help if you wanted to succeed. You could even get married and adopt a child. Heh spotting the same guy for the Xth time on the same spot on map farming/leveling so you potentialy ended up sitting down and talking to each other. And later who knows, you could both organize a guild, get married, introduce to other friends or even start exping together in the party, even adding more people to the current party who exp nearby. Even meeting random people was a fun experience in some instanced dungeons, helping or saving them from death heh good old times. So technicaly entire community was roleplayish and you didn't even needed to roleplay or limit yourself like in today games because game was build around the social-aspects. Now roleplay means you have to eat every few hours, no fast travel, realistic graphics and shitton of other crappy systems.
Chaos63 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Sounds like I'd come home from my job to log in and go to my virtual job. Also, just like every other game in this genre, it will be immediately overpopulated by fat men pretending to be little girls. It happens every time something like this rolls out. I guess there must be a demand though, otherwise this wouldn't be made...to each his own.
Captain Cobra Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Now roleplay means you have to eat every few hours, no fast travel, realistic graphics and shitton of other crappy systems. Don't forget about the IMMERSION
Queen Bee Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 This sort of thing, while initially appealing, feels like it would fall flat all too quickly. It sounds like they're basing this entirely in the real world, which means no magic, no superpowers, no sci-fi. A truly real world experience feels pointless. Other games set in modern day have something else going for them, whether it's the god-like overview of The Sims, or the challenge of financial or political success in Democracy 3. These games let you build the world you're playing in, allowing players to feel connected to everything in a way the real world can't. This game seems to lack anything that goes beyond just a normal existence, and we already have one of those. Now, I could see something like this appealing to a good number of people, especially if you keep things diverse enough. While they were talking about playing cops and robbers, the first thought that popped into my head is "These people are going to need doctors". Bam, doctor RP. Imagine being the one they rush to after a shootout? I might enjoy time sensitive game play where you have to stabilize a dying patient, or make tough calls like who to treat first and who to let die. But then, there's already games that cater to players who enjoy this. Their attempt to consolidate multiple game types into one feels like they're going to spread themselves too thin, touching everything but never going as deep as we might like. And as someone pointed out above, this would be very much like coming home to a second job. It's one of the reasons EVE Online never appealed to me. Give me Star Citizen. Give me GTA Online. Hell, give me WoW. But don't give me Second Life, v2.0. I got better shit to do.
