Darkening Demise Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I see this often when looking at sites, such as wikis. It appears with ads. Is this something on my PC or something I need to block with ad block?
vital Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Taboola is a ad serving company that does "click bait" style links and articles. I'm not sure whether adblock can block it but i don't see why not.
myuhinny Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I have never seen it before so I'm pretty sure ad blocker nukes them and anything that doesn't get blocked can be manually blocked even things like pictures colored text can be blocked. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taboola Removal if you have something. https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/9713-ads-by-taboola
MrJanus Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 If you use the HOSTS file from here http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm, it has a lot of Taboola related entries in it. That's a good indication that it's something to avoid.
