Can I post my mod on this site?

I made a mod that gives each settlement in Skyrim a unique set of textures. I made it as a personal mod for me and my friends, however now i'd like to share it. The problem is that I uses mostly textures from other people's mods and I didn't get permission to use them.

Is it possible to post my mod on this site? Or is that type of content not allowed?

To clarify, most of the textures aren't direct 'rip-offs', they have been re-worked by myself. Plus there are many custom meshes, normal maps and parallax maps that I made myself.

Just wondering if this is something I can post on this site or not. Though i'd ask before doing so.

I can't post links, so here is a .7z of screenshots.

So the question should be answered already

Depends on which community you ask.

1. Check the permissions of the original mod, the textures come from. Sometimes they only require proper credits or nothing at all.
2. No permissions listet normally means no permission given so you should send those mod authors a PM, mentioning that you edited their textures.

3. if they mentioned something like Berne Convention or stuff like that then you need to read up on what that means before taking any actions.
Everything else would be theft.

Arguments like "But i edited 80% of the texture so by law it's now mine." don't work well in those cases.

The modding community is a community that's based on respect for other peples work.

As it is now, you would steal other peoples work, if you upload it.

So save yourself the trouble and try to get permissions.
