Sural Argonus Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Is there any easy way to locate which package an item came from, and correct some issues? For example a shirt that is flagged for everyone that a child shouldn't wear but when the engine auto dresses the kid in it, the kid is all screwed up graphically. I would provide pics but alas I am not at home and on my phone. I will edit this post later. I can show you what I mean and I know what items, or at least most of them do it, I just don't know which pkg file they were in. I could remove them one by one and do it the slow way, but was hoping there was a quicker way. Also any advice on what programs to use to do it when find the culprits? I have a general idea what to do. Just change the flags in the file...afaik. unless I am missing something else. There is a nude top, a nude bottom, a t shirt, and a set of boots I need to fix. The original creator of this content seems to have been sloppy. One of them gives me what I refer to as spagetti alien body, while funny...needs to be fixed.
Jolie Rouge Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 If you use NraasMC, right-click on that item in CAS, this gives some information; for editing *.package you know to contain such items, use S3PE or S3OC (MaryJane would be the expert here). The right-click Information should contain a hex-part 0xsomething, this part is used in Custard (on MTS) to delete the item.
Sural Argonus Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Yeah. I use MC. But a lot of it is a total foreign language to me. Hah
bobby45 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Go look at http://www.loverslab.com/topic/56477-sims3guide-edit-cc-flags-with-s3oc-custom-underwear-okw-and-more/ , it will explain how to edit the flags. Here how to find the individual package. This won't find .sim3pack, only package. Have Master controller installed. Right-click on the item in CAS Write down the number on the top right it should look like this: 0x70698F4F1FF6D412 Add the complete ressource key 0x034AEECB-0x00000000-0x70698F4F1FF6D412 and copy it in your clipboard => First part is to tell that it's a CAS item, second group I don't know and the final group is the number you got in step 3 Search for this with S3OC(Tools -> Find Ressource) and click paste RK Wait for the search to complete and edit.
Sural Argonus Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 If it isn't sim3packs, which I don't think it is, most of my CC is .package. I should be able to figure it out. The editing is just a matter of finding the flags in whichever tool I decide to use. If it is in sem3pack files then I will have a harder time. Since I have to uninstall stuff. Pretty suse it isn't those tho. Most of the sem3packs are new items I just downloaded last night. This has been occurring for a couple days. Most of that content was all .package. I just need to narrow it down. I suppose just to be sure I can unintelligible all the sim3pack cc, but I am pretty sure it is a .package harboring the culprits. Heh
Sural Argonus Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 OK. Just got home. Searching for the boots now. By the way, these are the boots, and the nude top and bottom that I indend on finding and fixing. I set my sim to a child and put these on. This is the result.
Sural Argonus Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Crap. I was totally wrong. I have gone thru each and every .package file by hand since I couldn't locate the string at all. Not a single package file contains it. That means it is a sims3pack. And lo and behold...When I try to scroll thru the list of installed packs...the launcher crashes. The fork? *smh*
bobby45 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Try Sims 3 Dashboard tool http://modthesims.info/d/387006 , I think it auto report all content that have mixed younh people and adult flagged in the same CAS piece.
maraas Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 dashboard does not read s3p. only pks. you could convert the s3p into pks with this tool http://modthesims.info/d/364038 and then run it through dashboard... just an idea.I have no idea if it actually works though
MaryJane Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Those boots, I don't know if they are the same, but if they are they caused many problems with other players. http://findingbadccsims3.blogspot.nl/2011/12/sims-3-those-hooker-boots-and-how-to.html As for the nude top, if it is a sims3pack, go through the list and delete it. There is enough nude clothing that don't have problems, install those instead. I think that is easier then trying to fix it. Or if you really want to keep those things, find them by looking in your list at the launcher(I don't think there is an easier way with sims 3 packs), delete them, download the files again, convert them to a .package file and then edit the flags with s3oc.
Sural Argonus Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Well...I dunno what happened, but launcher crashes when I scroll thru the list. So reinstalling everything. I legally own everything but 3 packs...I own everything but Diesel, Master Suite and Movie stuff packs. I just never got around to buying those.I am going to try to figure out which one was the culprit this time for sure.I think those are the boots, but I don't recall seeing "Night TIme-Day Time Every Day Shoes" but I will keep a closer eye when I reinstall the packs. I am usually careful when it comes to the packs, but this time it snuck thru. This is the worst I have had in a while. I also just realized they could have been in one or more sims I snagged from the Exchange. Great. MIght explain how I got some of this naughty content. ugh. This file can stick to Sims you create and share. It is not visible in thumbs and this is why it is so easily spread around the exchange. Please delete it
Sural Argonus Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Managed to get all the Sims3Packs uninstalled. Some sloppy content creator left all that crap in there. Now I gotta figure out which one had it. Only have a few Sims to check. 139 total Sims3Packs to go thru tho just for my own (in)sanity.**Update**Not sure if anyone cares, but got it narrowed down to the last few Sims left to install. So far no messed up stuff. I have a sneaking suspicion it was one of the older ones I had gotten from the exchange a long time ago. I am not installing it, going to install each sim one at a time to make sure tho.
Sural Argonus Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 Found a culprit. A Sim by the name of Naomie Lancaster. So far the only one that installs some really messed up custom content. The boots, a shirt and a nude top and bottom. So far not seeing any others. Still workign on it.
