bAvLL Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Hello, baby's first time modding and posting in this forum. I always played Skyrim vanilla because mods have a habit of breaking, but after getting a new motherboard and formatting my computer, I decided to try playing skyrim with some mods. So I got a fresh install and the latest version of all mods, yet when I try to start a sex scene, nothing happens. Included is my mod list, since I have no idea what I'm doing. I installed every mod that was required for the mods I actually wanted [another reason why I never modded up to now], so as you can see, I have quite a lot going on, aside from the minor mods I've picked up for when I want to play Skyrim without invading some fun bunkers. I'm focusing on a female succubus with the SOS equippable shlong, but any attempts to start a sex scene [in combat] with the Submit mod just has the NPC surrendering and cowering, and that's it. I've also tried surrendering, but nothing ever happens. I have yet to try getting a successful speech-based sex scene, and the 'Books of Love' and 'Matchmaker' spells don't seem to have an effect. Also, I'm unable to obtain the equippable horsecock mod, even with the console command listed on the mod page. The regular SOS equippable shlong works fine, or at least I think it does. What am I doing wrong? [EDIT:] I also have all the important mods like FNIS, SkyUI, XPMSE, SKSE, and Racemenu.
bAvLL Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 I just managed to get a sneak attack/ambush, still nothing. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that spamming the 'submit' ability in a fight eventually has me punching the victim in the face or grabbing them and punching, or having them punch me and I fall over. Either event triggers no sex scenes, and if I win, then the victim strips and then cowers in place and repeats dialogue.
amyrach Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 are u using mod organiser and u should get liave another day start mod as when u read every where the vanilla start is so buggy that it will mess up ur game
bAvLL Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 are u using mod organiser and u should get liave another day start mod as when u read every where the vanilla start is so buggy that it will mess up ur game It's early in the morning and I'm rather drowsy, I'm trying to figure out what this means. Could you use better spelling, please? I'm using the Nexus Mod Manager. So you're saying I should use a mod that starts on another day, or...?
amyrach Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 use a mod called live another life which skips the vanilla start. this is due to it been broken look at this it explains a load better. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/43043-skyrim-modding-guide/

I'll try to read bits and pieces of it whenever I can. Looks like I'll need to do another clean install, so I'll have to re-download all of my mods again.
Nichoice Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 If you don't like to read, you're gonna have a bad time with modding. With regards to no sex scene initiating, it sounds like you messed up the sexlab installation if there are no animations at all. Submit is an addon, much like matchmaker etc. Sexlab is what you need to make it all work. Did you run FNIS? Are the actors in a T-pose? Skeletons?

If someone would show me hands-on I'd have a bit more luck, but I doubt that anybody would be willing to go through that. I installed Sexlab according to the instructions on the page, following each step as closely as I could, and I ran FNIS. As I said before, dialogue starts up but no animation happens. Possibly a mod conflict.
Arhon Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Uh.... the latest Sexlab versions require you to go to the MCM and install sexlab from there. Some people forget to do that.
bAvLL Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 MCM? What/ where is that? I'm using the XP32 Maximum Skeleton and the Extended skeleton, though I think a few things were overwritten when I installed the SOS light mod.
Nazzzgul666 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 A MCM is a menu, you can see it when you hit 'esc' ingame. Below 'Options' from vanilla (or properties or anything like that, i'm playing german version ) should be a new menu for mods. If there isn't, SkyUI isn't installed properly. I think there will be some more which you might check and configure other mods, but to solve your problem: go to sexlab MCM, hit install. If you want creatures, you have to go there again when the message "sexlab ... ready" appears, and check the button for creatures. I'd suggest you look around a bit, at the hotkeys for example. You might want to adjust some animations manually. Not sure if i should adivse it since you don't like reading, but... you might want to try another mod organizer like "'Mod Organizer aka MO" or wyre bash. I only know MO, but especially if you aren't sure you installed your mods in the right order, it's MUCH better than the nexus thing because with MO it's just drag and drop instead of reinstall. Needs some configuration, though, but google can help you with some videos for that as well LOOT will help you with your load order and help to avoid conflicts as well, but i have no idea how that works without MO.
bAvLL Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 I installed MCM, not much has changed. SkyUI was working fine beforehand, I was able to bring up Sexlab and Submit, Submit worked fine aside from the lack of animations and Sexlab had an 'install' option but it didn't do anything. I'm a bit busy with college stuff at the moment and it's rather draining, hence the whole 'I can't read bricks of text good' bit. I'll see if I can make a TLDR version for myself on the weekend or something, just to write down what I need to grab and what order they need to be installed in.
enchiwhatever Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 sometimes bashed patches can wreck things if you let it do too much. i'm still learning this myself though, someone else should explain this better than i could. for example try it without the patch and alot of script stuff might work better.

I'll see if I can make a TLDR version for myself on the weekend or something, just to write down what I need to grab and what order they need to be installed in. Installing Sexlab also takes some time, klick install, leave the menu (all of them) you should get a row of messages like "charakter animations installed", you know that it's ready when it says "sexlab 1.6x finished". If you want creature animations, you have to go into the MCM again and check them, and this will need some time again. If animations still not working, you can check if they are installed (not sure what's the correct menu name, my SL MCM is in german), something like 'toggle animations' should be there. Maybe you need to re-read and register them. Submit is quite old, i've seen several versions here but i'm not sure which one works properly at all, and if there are problems with sexlab 1.61. You might try defeat instead, that has similar functions, but much more and it works just fine. But again, with more functions there is more to read and you need to install it like sexlab, but it's quite fast in comparison and will work fine without any configuration once installed. If you just want to try animations, use matchmaker, if they work there but not in submit, submit is the problem. If they don't work there, something is wrong with your installation, but you can keep submit.

The sex scenes actually start up, Submit starts the scenes too [with some effort] and even the Books of Love work! Many thanks Based Nazzzgul666, you saved my ass from several hours of modding. However, everything works but the animations, are, well. The actors don't usually line up properly and there are many clipping issues [possibly just an error on my behalf, what with minor body slider stuff and having a slightly larger SOS equipped] but the actual animations seem to be a little lackluster and somewhat amateurish, to be honest. If anything, I've just been getting the feeling that I could have done better animations, despite my limited skill in 3d animation. Oh well, satan giveth and satan taketh away. I'll just use my imagination to properly line everything up whenever my succubus lady tries to stuff her cock in someone's ass. Thanks for the help, guys. I'll just restart one last time so I can have the true Skyrim experience!

I'll just restart one last time so I can have the true Skyrim experience! That's one reason i told you, you want to check the sexlab MCM again PCs and NPCs have different weight, height, and so on, it's impossible to align them perfect. But there is a solution: sexlab has hotkeys (which you can change by yourself) to align them yourself. And it might help to check the button for character height adjustment, i don't remember the exact phrase, one of the higher menus within sexlab MCM. It won't help for all animations, but if you've done that and you still think you can do something better... i'm looking forward to see some new animations The adjustments you make will be saved, so until you start a new game you don't need to do it again. I couldn't figure out where they are saved yet to copy them into a new game. But seriously, i know it can be annoying to read/check all these things when you just want to play, but take some time and check the possibilities of these menus, it'll help you a LOT if you at least know what's possible. It becomes annoying again when you know you need to change an option, but can't remember which mod has it because you installed 20 at once (at least that's my experience ), but it's still worth it. It doesn't have to be all at once, just read one menu carefully each time you start the game. If you don't, i don't know if anybody will be willing to help you in future, and you will need help again, definitly
bAvLL Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 I'll keep that in mind. I did quickly read through each mod, mostly just paying attention to installation instructions and mod requirements/conflicts and such. I also have been regularly going through the in-game menus for all mods. The [latest] sexlab menus are somewhat overly elaborate [or at least the animations page, having vague filenames for animations can get confusing] but I definitely do a bit more reading when I end up having to troubleshoot.
