I have a question regarding managing a blog here, i've made a blog page yesterday, and uploaded 3 entries and they were fine.

Today i added a new entry and edited the old ones  to look a little better. but then i noticed the order of entries has changed (only one of them).

now its like Set 1, Set 3, Set 2, Set 4

So the question is, can i manage the order of the entries? because i thought maybe when i edit an entry it's bumped up in the order

but no it not working that way, i edited them a few times but the order doesn't change

now how did it change in the first place ? O.o

Nope when you edit you just change things it doesn't move anywhere to get them in the order that you want them listed as 1 2 3 4 you would have to post them in this order 4 3 2 1 or if you can change 4 to 1 and 2 to 3 or even easier if you don;t want to mess with it is to rename them 1 2 3 4 where 1 is at the top..

Now this confused me even more

I probably worded it wrong.

I don't actually want them to be in ascending order, i like the descending order from newest to oldest in this case from 4 to 1

what i wanted to change is 2 with 3 because it's 4,2,3,1 weird order i must say...

And you mentioned renaming something, what should i rename ? i tried renaming the title but that doesn't seem to change anything.

To get 2 where 3 is you would have to rename 3 to 2 and 2 to 3 then copy what is in 2 to 3 and 3 to 2.

 

Or for the less hassle and probably a lot easier way would be to just rename 2 to 3 and 3 to 2 then go into the blog pages and change the name inside them to match what you changed them to.

So basically there's no option to manage the order, and it's categorized only by uploaded order...

also 1st option sounds okay actually, nice workaround lol but that would render the comments incorrect if they mention something specific in the set

and 2nd option is definitely not gonna work since it needs to be in that order because the stories in the blogs are continued from previous sets, that's why i wanted them to be sorted properly in the first place

Well i guess i'll have to leave it as is...for the time being, maybe in the future a option to manage the order will be added

I don't think there is any other option. The only other option would be to make new ones in the correct order and then check and see with a moderator if the comments from the old ones can be merged into the new ones then no comments will be lost and once that's done the old ones can be deleted.
