ThetaMan Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Sorry for the horrendous use of that line for my topic title. Anywho, I've been searching all over for a tutorial on how to get this whole SexLab deal to work on MO. Unfortunately, most tutorials I've found are either for vanilla modding or for NMM. I try to avoid using NMM since its making my Skyrim bug and glitch out of proportion. I'm not looking for fancy sex scenes or whatnot (though it'd be great to have some immersive first person view of some sex scenes), just some added romance for my character's follower to add some personality in her. I've already downloaded the framework along with its hotfix and FNIS. I haven't done anything to them yet because I'm afraid I might screw things up bigtime. I'm sure there are other stuff that I need to download as well but I'm at a loss as to what they are. I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction.
Guest MonsterFish Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 There's not really a 'special way' to download SL. You download it like any other mod. For MO you make a new file in the MO Mod Folder and put everything in there, or you can download it as an archive.
RebelInfernal Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 What MonsterFish said. If I'm reading this right are you new to MO? If so there are a few things you need to know. First up GenerateFNISForUsers.exe must be run through MO, I think there's a video showing how to do this on the FNIS page. If you want creature animations there's a separate creatures file you need to download and install for both Sexlab and FNIS. For pretty much all Sexlab mods just install manually through MO as you would any other mod and that's it. I'm pretty sure there are a few other things but nothing comes to mind right now. Just invest in a comfy chair and if you're anything like me be prepared to spend many an hour in that chair fixing bugs.
kassiekagain Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Gopher made a whole series of vid tutorials on how to properly install and use MO (including how to install FNIS properly for MO) Hope they help you as much as they helped me.
ThetaMan Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 I'm.. relatively new to MO, I suppose. I've managed to install the mods I used to have on NMM on it but I'm specifically having trouble trying to get the whole SexLab package to work. I know I'm doing something wrong but having little experience on MO, I'm practically bashing rocks together here. That's why I'm looking for a tutorial or something that's specifically related to sexlab and its requirements and MO. As for other mods, I can do it just fine.
kassiekagain Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Sexlab is pretty much just like every other mod, the difficulties are in making sure you have its requirements of SKSE and FNIS installed in MO properly so that they will work. After that its just a case of making sure you have the right versions of mods for your choices and that everything you choose will work together. Actually Sexlab is generally easier than other mods as its a framework and does nothing by itself. Sexlab 1.6 hotfix 2 is the current version, check this post http://www.loverslab.com/topic/52573-sexlab-16-compatible-mods/ for compatible mods. Be aware there are some difficulties with ZAZ animations in the new framework but hopefully they will be ironed out. Edit: Sexlab 1.61 is the new version.
ThetaMan Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 I've had SKSE for as long as I can remember and it works fine so that's out of the problem. So I pretty much plop SexLab and FNIS in MO? What should I exactly do after? I'm going to create a clean slate for MO. No other mods. Just SexLab and FNIS and I'll see where it goes. I'll edit this post with screenshots if need be.
Guest MonsterFish Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I'm gonna go ahead and conclude from that post that you have SexLab but nothing that actually uses it (As kassiekagain said). Sexlab doesn't actually allow you to... ahem... It's only a framework. Add something like Sexlab Matchmaker to use it.

The installation of SKSE and FNIS differs to that of a non MO installation, I seriously recommend that you watch the gopher tutorials, at least the ones dealing with the installation of SKSE and FNIS. When you have those set up you load up Sexlab and the other mods that you choose.
linda16 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I save all mods in a folder then install them using top left button. FNIS and other mods require manual install - if this happens just drag the textures, meshes etc to the root "DATA" folder and uncheck what you don't need. Maybe this helps you placing the mods in a good order. I get crashes on load probably because they are too many but the list down to sexlab works fine. In some images the DLCs are disabled in the right. Please ignore that (I like to play without them unless a mod requires) Here is my list of mods I made copies of my profiles to show a reduced list: CBBE sexlab ready to go (needs any sexlab mod after) UNP (CBBE is disabled in this profile)

Sexlab doesn't actually allow you to... ahem... It's only a framework. Add something like Sexlab Matchmaker to use it. xD I'm fully aware that the framework doesn't let you do the sex stuff. All I know about it is that its like the foundation for the other mods to work on, FNIS is the thing that makes them do the poses, etc, etc.
Guest MonsterFish Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 No, FNIS doesn't MAKE them do the poses. I haven't read into it too much but FNIS is the thing that generates behavior files (Or the reverse I dno =S) so that the poses don't look like the standard T-Pose. If that's what you mean. I'm pretty confused now and my ADD is acting up so I'm not focusing all too well. Top kek.
Varithina Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 If you prefer a more text/graphics guide for mo, give this a try http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#tab=Third_Party_Programs
RebelInfernal Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I've had SKSE for as long as I can remember and it works fine so that's out of the problem. So I pretty much plop SexLab and FNIS in MO? What should I exactly do after? I'm going to create a clean slate for MO. No other mods. Just SexLab and FNIS and I'll see where it goes. I'll edit this post with screenshots if need be. Just put them in, yeah. FNIS will need the GenerateFNISForUsers.exe to be run from MO's executables panel, Gopher's show how to do that. Once you've run the exe it'll drop some files in your 'overwrite' folder at the bottom of the mods list, just right click and name to make a new mod with it. I call it 'FNIS patch' for simplicity. Make sure this stays at the bottom so it isn't overwritten and as far as I can remember animations should now work, though as said you will need another mod to trigger them to test that. Edit: I just remembered, user Anatriax has a pretty handy guide that's easy to follow. Here it is: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/47360-anatriaxs-guide-to-an-immersive-skyrim/ Just skip the parts you don't care about. The Sexlab stuff is in the Phase 8 tab.
ThetaMan Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 Success! I've managed to get the framework registered into the MCM. Now, I'm trying the SexLab version of Amorous Adventures. I have FNIS installed aswell. But when I try to initiate love making with one of the girls in the mod, nothing happens. Must be something to do with FNIS. But as to what that is, I'm not sure. There isn't any other requirement said on Amorous Adventure's other than placing it on the very bottom of the load order, the framework, FNIS, and the usual stuff that should come along when you have the game. This is what I have set up on FNIS. http://prntscr.com/9n039o The dialogue offers three sex options. Oral, Anal, and Vaginal. But when I pick any of those, nothing happens. The lover just leaves like being dismissed as a follower. Am I to download something per sex position? I sincerely apologize for being such an abhorent noob on this. :c
Guest MonsterFish Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 "1 Warning(s)" Gonna guess you haven't opened Steam Launcher yet.
ThetaMan Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 I actually have opened it right before installing the framework. I make sure to open all the shortcuts that run the game whenever I install huge mods. Anywho, I fixed the warning and made a mod out of the overwrite. MO's saying that I have everything in order. Made an entirely new game aswell. Still nada. http://prntscr.com/9n0irh http://prntscr.com/9n0iy7 http://prntscr.com/9n0jg9
Guest MonsterFish Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Did you make sure to go to the Sexlab menu in SkyUIs Mod Manager (in the main menu) and activate it?
ThetaMan Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 OHH!!! So that's what I was missing! I could've sworn that I did that back then. Anywho, its all working now! Thank you very much! EDIT: SexLab says its good to go in game. But when I try to initiate sex, it just crashes right away. I think it has something to do with the poses. But I guess that's for another thread unrelated to this.
