hello

im using a mod that adds sofia from this link

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54527/?

and i really really wanna use the HDT hair mod

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70363/?

how can i do this? how can i use ''showracemenu'' at npc's? is there a mod for that?

You have to edit the mod in CK, be sure the first mod is marked as Active, and you also check the second one.

Then edit the NPC Sofia and pick the hair you wish.

But beware because as @Gambler stated, you may have really strange results by using a HDT hair on a NPC.

What results are to be expected from HDT hair on NPC's? I've got a HDT cape working with my follower, just requires the odd unequip/requip when entering a new area as the cape flies off too the edge of the world, which at some point I could prob make a quick script or hotkey to fix.

Doing that with TES5Edit would be way easier. Simply load the hair mod and follower mod. Add the hair mod to the follower mod as a "Master" and change the hair with the one you want from the hair mod.

It is a question of preferences. For me is faster the CK, I always do errors when I am editing something in TES5Edit.

I only use the CK to create something from scratch and never use it to edit something, as there's always the risk of creating dirty edits. As its name suggests, TES5Edit is much more convenient to tweak and modify things. Not to mention much more stable.

Best way to do this is to make a wig as a helmet replacer and add it to the NPC's outfit, I've done this already with the Lotus hair style for one of mine.

HDT hairs won't work when exported as part of the facegeom because the HDT stuff doesn't carry over.

As far as I know, HDT hairs don't work well on NPCs.

There was a Japanese-made follower I tried, and sure, she had nice hair, but soon that HDT-enabled hair had a life of its own.
