RichterQ87 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Title says it all. I'm looking to install an ENB preset of some sorts but there are so many I can't figure out which one. Help me out here.
Sir Artsy Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Depends really what visuals you seek. I like RealENB or was that Reallike ENB? EpicNatural is pretty good. (+1 to skyrimgtx and the involved people)

I use Seasons of Skyrim ENB True HDR, there are loads of screenshots on my blog if you want to see what it's like

(+1 to skyrimgtx and the involved people) I suppose I'm just looking for something that makes the game look better in general without making it super exaggerated. I don't want complete anime visuals and stuff like that, is what I'm saying. I just want something that puts emphasis on realism yet not completely leaving out the 'wow' factor of it all.
Loresalef Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Grim and Somber Azura preset is really good. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50501/? Its a very dark and realistic preset with high quality details to characters. from Hodilton:
Cock Sucker Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 only using enboost to boost game performance.. dare not try any graphical bits as last I tried it on skyrim I cried at how slow the game was
ao2thend Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I am currently using Dovah Nakiin ENB. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67441/? Of course a great place to look for ENB's to find out what they look like it Hodilton's channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/hodilton/videos
ashnurazg2 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm currently using Unbleak ENB -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24828/?
Droxillyyn Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 A couple of my favorites are La Profeta ENB and Grim Winter ENB. I've used Snapdragon ENB in the past and liked it, though I haven't tried the most recent versions. Currently though, I'm using my own Oshyynmaruu ENB (not currently available).
Zerosleepless Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I've asked something similar a good while ago , and everyone has kindly given me advise , I'll try and do the same. I use enb only for screenshots , i switch back and forth depending on what type of pics i want : Realvision for "clear" pictures , Somber 3 for hipster-ish , moody and artsy , Noir for black and white , and finally i use Aeon or Air enb for soft luminous pictures . it really depends on your tastes and what you want. Usually i also inject some sharpness/contrast and saturation with Sweetfx AKA Post process injector. Keep in mind that ENBs can look utterly different under different circumstances (Time of day , location , weather , Lighting conditions ...) Here are some random pics to demonstrate that and to give you visual comparisons , because no amount of words could accurately describe something visual: Warning: Lots of pics , some NSFW (kinda) Realvision (the one I've used the most , simplest to install, handle and the most versatile IMO): INTERIOR NIGHT: EXTERIOR NIGHT/SUNSET/DAWN: INTERIOR DAY: EXTERIOR DAY: Air ENB:The first one i've ever used , Lots of contrast / color and light, Nice depth of field: Somber 3 ENB:(The one i'm currently using and that i like the most atm , It's hit or miss for most people i think)
noodles1976 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I think it really depends on hardware and if you want to play the game with an ENB enabled or use it for screen archery. For gameplay, I've found that the "performance" versions of these two presets look really damn good...vastly superior to other performance presets: For bright, lush color and landscapes I like the Organic ENB preset: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38917/? It's highly customizable with two main color style to choose from (one uses less color saturation than the other), with 3 or 4 .ini variations to increase performance. I've tested all of them and they all essentially look brilliant. The biggest bonus is that it uses ZeroKing's post process add-on for further tweaking, and it's night-vision compatible. Some old pics, haven't used this preset for a while: For more grim / moody lighting, similar to Somber or Bleak/Unbleak presets with a minor performance hit, Saarun Summ Performance is my personal favorite: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43765/? It looks amazing without sacrificing a ton of visual punch being a 'performance' preset. Some recent pics: For screen archery, any preset by Kyo will do the job perfectly...his presets are very demanding but they are stunning: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/3463021/?tb=mods&pUp=1 I'm currently using an old ENB preset for gameplay (consistent 40 + FPS everywhere is my general requirement for a playable preset), which is also a viable option if you don't mind losing some of the effects enabled in the later binaries, and still need more performance. I'm having fun customizing the Project MATSO ENB by Matso & Kyo. Add one of K-Putte's SweetFX presets and you've got a great combo... Project Matso: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25451/? K-Putte SweetFX Config: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39805/? I posted these in the screenshot forum yesterday, latest tweaks / edits with this combo: As you can see, these all look pretty good...obviously I've tuned some of them up a bit, but in general they look great 'out of the box'. Anyhow...good luck picking just one! I'd suggest trying out all the ones mentioned by folks in this thread and see which one you like best, it's the only way to find exactly what you want. N~dles
Serithi Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I use Realvision, though i've made some modifications.
johnny2by4 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 i only use enb that i can play with, never saw much point in screenshots. so i've got two to suggest. skylight enb http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48730/? is a decent one, though i've recently swapped to lumen enb http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59901/? which has settings i prefer.
Saviorsrd Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Hmm....may as well poll this topic: By appearance, I find I rather like Air ENB - bright, vivid colors (maybe a little oversaturated, but not a lot) but the performance hit is basically unacceptable. I find I'm really turned off by the vast majority of ENBs with either that washed-out, almost colorless look or shadows that take it almost to the point of darkness. Is there anything anyone's aware of similar to Air but not nearly as performance hungry?

Is there anything anyone's aware of similar to Air but not nearly as performance hungry? I took a look at Air ENB and it doesn't look that dissimilar to Performance and Realistic ENB by 32cm, perhaps Air is a bit brighter and more color saturated. I tested 32cm's preset on my old system last year, and it ran pretty well. He updated the preset and now calls it Tamriel Reloaded, so you've got two options to go with, plus they both have various color palettes / settings to choose from. P&R ENB: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37978/? TR ENB: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49834/? Personally, for gameplay I find that using older presets is better. Decent visuals, minor performance hit and the same flexibility for tuning the preset to your own liking with newer ones...just without the in-game GUI in some cases. The only difference is that a lot of the 'kitchen sink' effects that really tank frame rate aren't available. Just because you can add all the visual awesome doesn't mean you should, unless you have a system that can handle it. Take a look at Project MATSO. Don't be fooled by the screenshots, there's a ton of options to make it less eye-bleeding in terms of color saturation. I personally like the 3 Kyo variants that are optional d/ls: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25451/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D25451%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Obviously the older presets won't look as good as the newer ones, but if you're only looking to improve visual quality and play the game at an acceptable frame rate (always subjective), this might be your best option.
