dentarr Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Im having a strange issue since updating to SL 1.60: non-cyclic animation stages (the ones registered with "s -a ...." in FNIS) dont play correctly anymore. One actor plays the stage once, as it should. But the other actor immediatly plays the next stage. When skipping back (shift-space) its the same. Sometimes actor1 plays and actor2 skips. Somethimes the other way around. But it takes like 20 tries that actually BOTH play correctly. I wonder if I am the only one with this problem? Also tried various FNIS versions and no change at all. No log attached here as I already parsed through it and found nothing in there hinting at what could cause that. Would be grateful for some help as I am at my wits end and have wasted hours searching for the cause of this. Only thing I could verify 100% is that it doesnt happen in my 1.59 install and as soon as I put 1.60 over it I have these issues. (The animation I used for testing are "Arrok Rape" for human and "TrollMissionaryAlt" for critters. Both the same behaviour)
Ashal Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Sorry, meant to get back to you when you PM'd me about this issue, just hadn't gotten around to it yet. Some random thoughts/guesses. The last FNIS update had major changes to how sequenced animations are handled. As a consequence the way first animation stage animation is handled is "significantly" different than in 1.59. Bouncing between versions of SL and FNIS may have inadvertently reproduced the problem in various different ways due to the change between the two. I'll play around with it and see if I can produce it in any case.
dentarr Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 Thanks for the answer. Guessed it would be better put here anyway than bothering you with pm. Just in case it is something that hits more users and just hasnt bothered anyone yet (as there arent that many non-cyclic ones) As for FNIS I had 5.1 and went to 5.5 on SL 1.59. Then updated to SL 1.60 and then this problem first showed. Did an uninstall of FNIS and reinstalled FNIS 6.0 beta for testing and same problem. Did an uninstall again and now I am on FNIS 5.5. Again with the same problem. I never get any errors or warnings with FNIS but that doesnt say much. Since both actors seem to have their animation sequence correctly available (just not playing them at the same time) I was thinking something changed in SL 1.60 in handling those non cyclic animations. The only Mods that add animations I use are Zaz, NSAP and my own. So dont think anything wrong there...
ostwind Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Fully confirm the existence of such problems. It's the problem of the new version Sexlab 1.6x. The old version 1.59С was very stable and had no problems. The new version of continuous problems. I went back to the old version and have no regrets. I still stay on: - Sexlab 1.59C, - FNIS 5.2 and FNIS creature 5.1. Because it is high quality and works very well.
