Very poor textures on body

Hi all,

I've recently noticed that the textures on anything relating to the body (armor, clothing, slavetats) are extremely poor on the player and female NPCs. Hands, feet, and head look just fine, as does the rest of the game.

Here are some screens that show the issue pretty clearly. Nice pretty gauntlets and helm, while the slavetats and armor look abysmal. (Why in the world doesn't LL allow Imgur hosting?)

Using CBBE body, Sporty Sexy Sweat and Athletic Muscle textures. And, if relevant, I just purchased a new TV which I use as a monitor. The upgrade allowed me to go up to 1920x1080 from 1366x768.

Edit: Trying unstainlling/reinstalling relevant mods, so far no luck though. Perhaps these screens are better examples, though. There're also some very clear seams in various places.

Looks like a texture issue to me. Meaning you are using textures not compatible with the body you are using. Not all CBBE body textures use the same UV map.

Hmm, I'm not sure how that could have happened. I haven't changed anything since I last played without issue. Using CBBE alone with no other texture mods doesn't fix it either. How do I actually go about fixing it?

If you have nifskope load the body up into it by double clicking it or right clicking it and selecting open with and select nifskope. Next click render - settings then click one of the empty lines in empty box and follow the folder path to your data folder where you have your game installed too click the data folder and hit ok. This will render any nif in your folder except for stuff that uses in game textures or the texture paths are incorrect those ones will have white textures. If the body is white then it is probably using the astrid texture so just change the texture path to textures\actors\character\female\FemaleBody_1.dds click a line in the left side this should render it.

As you can see the textures on this body are messed up because they use different texture files. The body is the TBD (touched by dibella) my textures I use are UNP TBD is a CBBE type body but it uses it's own texture files that are different from CBBE.

I know one race that I use has their texture path set up to textures\actors\character\enhanced\female\FemaleBody_1.dds and even if I change it to match the other path the enhanced one will trump the other path and it will always appear instead.

As far as I can tell, everything looks fine in nifskope. Proper texture and no unsightly seams everywhere.

For some reason I'm completely unable to figure out how to actually move the body in nifskope. Can only manage rotations about the axes and zooming, so sorry for the crap screenshot.

In game, it's also affecting armor worn/shown on the body/legs/arms. Would an issue with the body textures cause that?

Make sure that in SKSE.ini you have this:

[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=2048

Then check your skyrimprefs.ini, which under [DISPLAY] see if iTexMipMapSkip is set to 1 or 0

Can't seem to find an SKSE.ini. Did you mean Skyrim.ini? Added that line to it, if so.

iTexMipMapSkip is set to 0.

Edit: Meant to add, it doesn't seem to be just character textures. Some walls look awful while others are great, some ugly rocks and some pretty rocks, etc. First time in a few days I've had a chance to actually sit down and only now noticing :\

No, SKSE.ini, in data/SKSE. If it's not there, you need to create one (or download one, some people have put theirs up in various places).
