Parallel Installation of Loverslab and "clean" Skyrim

Hi all,

I'm currently playing Skyrim with a medium modded version. I manage all my mods through Mod Organizer and so far don't have any major problems.

Now I'm thinking of making a 2nd, a "dirty" version with some Sexlab Mods in it. My Question is now, how to avoid them biting each other. I first thought about a 2nd profile in MO, but in the Installation Thread there are some manual steps which I don't know would affect the other installation. Shall I rather copy the whole Skyrim folder (if that works with steam games at all)?

Does anyone have already done this and can give me a hint in the right direction?

Thanks for any advice.

What manual steps are you talking about? MO's profiles work great for stuff like this so I can't see how this would be a problem. Also if you're using FNIS with profiles in MO you need two 'mods' for the different FNIS files

I use two profiles in MO and the only problem I occasionally run into is Khajiit tails being stiff as boards after regenerating FNIS for my clean profile. If you run into this you can fix it real quick by deleting the "FNIX Version Generated" pex file from the overwrite folder and regenerating.

In fact the best way to do it (IMO, based on experience) is to set up one of them, run bodyslide, FNIS, skyproc patchers, what have you, and turn the overwrite folder into a new mod folder for that profile. Then set up the other and do the same. And boom, set up to switch at the click of a button (and a bit of a MO freeze depending on how many mods you have it managing).

Thanks for your advices. I didn't realize I can set up FNIS with MO that easily (just watched Gophers Vid on it) :( Should have done more research, so I apologize for that.

Best advise is to use the Profiles and create different mod installations for your needs. If a mod needs to be tweaked for "dirty" action etc. (for example nude body with physics) and one clean for clean play just reinstall the mod into MO and name it something different. Perhaps Dirty.

If you want two totally separate MO's theoretically it is possible and I have done it. The issue is the downloads folder and automatic downloads etc. I mention this in case you want a clean mod for posting left and right side configs. etc. Don't want someone from Nexus seeing some of the dirty things you are into :).

Possibly create two MO installs and one Downloads.

MO - Clean

MO - Dirty

MO-Downloads. (where steam will automatically download all the nexus mods. :).
