shadowknightlrc Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Hello again all! I am having fun with "Dye Manager" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56420/, and I have have run into a minor issue. I cannot locate the dragonscaleshield.nif file. I have been able to locate the other .nifs, and have even done a full pc search (dragonscale, dragonscaleshield, etc) for the file with no luck. Now as you can see, I know how to edit the .nifs properly, and only the shield has the vanilla color. The issue is not with the mod itself, so I am good there. I'm confused because the shield shows up properly in game, but there is no file to be found. I also noticed that none of the shield nif files could be found. What needs to be done to get that .nif so I can edit it? Thanks in advance!
JRCosta Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 You need to extract the file from the meshes.bsa on your Skyrim data folder. BSAUnpack works fine to me but there are others.
darkconsole Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 i've never really gotten dye manager to do anything for me sadly.
