vram1974 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 In my ongoing quest to break my game (yay!) I went SkyProc crazy and installed a ton of patchers. Not only did I install ASIS for increased spawns and enemy AI I decided to try WTF as well to make it more like Requiem (I'm not running Requiem). So I'm not sure if ASIS and WTF are playing nicely because right out of the gate from Alternate Start I aggroed these bandits. Since they're delevelled, they chased me into Whiterun and slaughtered everybody. I'm talking, like, every fucking body. I'm undecided as to whether that's cool or stupid. I'm also running PerMa and I just wanted to know if the end of my load order seems to make sense: RSPatch.esp (Real Shelter) DynDOLOD.esp (LoD settings) Pre PaMa WAFR Patch.esp TES5EditMerged.esp (with levelled lists deleted) Bashed Patch.esp (for levelled lists) Automatic Variants.esp WTF.esp ASIS-Dependency.esp ASIS.esp Everybody's Different.esp Patchus Maximus.esp Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp I also wanted to clarify, I'm never supposed to SkyProc another SkyProc patched file, right?
Ashal Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 PerMa is the bane of my existence. Because I am a user x.x Anytime I want to play or test some mods in Skyrim, I best buckle in for the next day or two being devoted solely to skyproc or merged patches x.x Your load order is good as far as I can see, using a tes5merged patch which the vast majority miss and have no idea even exists, a Bashed Patch, followed by using the exact load order PerMa suggests, ASIS->Perma->Dual Sheath Redux. That said, at this point I'm pretty much sold on the idea of the future of Smashed Patches instead... If not for the fact that it takes a full 4 hour for me to create a Smashed Patch...
Guest Comrade DR. MAHUJ DIK Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Me!! I use perma its the best overhaul ever for skyrim (even if the enchanting focus sucks and i love creating unique named gear), but I think the illusin skills only working once too much... I whould be better if was like only works once a day.
Guest Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I used it for a few months and liked it quite a bit. It does a lot of fun stuff. But Ashal's post sums up why I decided to untangle myself from all the patchers I was having to kick off every time I so much as sneezed. Perma went over the side along with ASIS. I went back to SPERG for a bit but it's kind of anonymous by comparison I guess. Ordinator feels kind of like Perma sans skyproc. There are quite a few differences mechanically but they're broadly the same church. Anybody else looking to extricate themselves from Skyproc should give it a try - the second update though, not the third or first.
vram1974 Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Thanks for the answers. It's a mess but I think I'm getting the hang of it!
Taskmaster Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Yes I use PerMa, and it's worth the Skyproc headache. Haha I tend to plan the patcher around an errand, stream, youtube, etc. I seriously recommend viewing the PerMa Documentation(you can download from the page), which lists what all the perks do in the game.
