CTD's... *sigh*

So since yesterday I have been having CTD issues. It started when I switched from GP enb (found on nexus) to Cute enb (found here on LL  :/spoiler http://www.loverslab.com/topic/13749-list-of-performance-friendly-enbs/spoiler/: ) back to GP. From this point onward it CTD's upon reaching main menu. When I remove d3d9.dll I get past the main menu but as soon as I go outdoors it CTD's again... I could really use some help on this matter. Thanks in advance.

you did what?!  always backup your game files when you manipulate those in the primary folder!!  *puts hands on mouth shocked*

but but I use MO tho... so it shouldn't matter right? I know MO doesn't do things to Main folder and only to a virtual data folder  but still. Also why does it crash? It goes from working, working, working, I go play something else and when I come back it aint working anymore... halp

mo manages mods and not enb files. the best thing you can do is try to restore the previous files and see if it becomes stable again. OR reinstall skyrim clean without any enb present. that's an option too. unless some other mod got you confused and has never worked well to begin with .  best start would probably be at anatriax guides.

Look at the files and folders (if any) that came with the ENB preset then compare them to your Skyrim folder (not Data folder).  Some presets come with modified meshes and textures so check your Data folder also, unless you installed those files with MO.  Any files/folders in your Skyrim folder that matches what is from the preset, go ahead and remove them. 

Check your game to see if the crashing continues.  When you have everything stabilized and you still want to use ENB, I highly recommend using an ENB Manager.

You can create profiles for different presets and binaries, install what you want and if you change your mind, the managers can remove the preset's files/folders from the Skyrim folder.

You can also launch the ENB managers from MO, but works fine if launched outside of MO.
