The omod files should come looking like this when you downloaded it:

modxyz.omod

You do NOT unzip or extract it in any way.  You instead open it through OBMM.  Then you activate it.  Any other method will produce errors.

Latest release from nexus, manual download will give you an OMOD file. Do not use NMM for this. Put the file in your <oblivionInstalldirectory>/obmm/mods/ folder. Start OBMM and you should be fine from there.

I belive the problum is that it download as a .zip file so then obmm cant open it and thus i dont have the omod and i dont know how to change it.

What does it look like inside the zip? If it has a .omod file, you need to extract that first, then move it to the mods folder described above. If it has a omod conversion data folder, then, in obmm, select create omod, add archive, navigate to where the zip file is and select it. Obmm will pop up a dialogue box asking if you want to import info, select yes, then hit create. Give it time, then it will say omod created. Then you can activate the omod. I also suggest going into the above mentioned mods folder, copy the new omod and save as a backup.

In your first post, you did not say thats what is in the zip. In fact, that's what you see if you try to open an omod with 7zip. If what you download has a bethesda looking icon, then it is already an omod, and you don't need to open it with 7zip,you just need to load it up in obmm.
