pepertje Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 View File Adds a Stress mechanic to Fallout: New Vegas's Hardcore Mode. How it works:-Stress piles up every second you spend breathing. (5 Stress/second)-Six tiers of stress, with 2500 Stress for every tier.-Stress increases even faster under certain conditions (being in combat, having low health, radiation poisoning or low weapon health)-Stress can be decreased by either sleeping, using alcohol/relaxing chems or playing a minigame (caravan, blackjack etc.)-If you can't keep your stress low, you will experience debilitating side effects (the vanilla hardcore diseases are nothing compared to this.) Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Oh snap. I'm going to test this for my guide. Thanks a million <3
RitualClarity Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Yea it is finally released.. . @Anatriax.. I think you will like this. Add a bit of "stress" to the game. Can be much more challenging.
Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Yup. I think it will fit the feel I like, quite nicely. Especially since I like mods like iNeed and Frostfall for Skyrim.
Lovely Rose Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I been looking for a mod like this in a long time. Thumbs up caeser! Haha
Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Suggestion: Sexout patch so that sex relieves stress?
pepertje Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Suggestion: Sexout patch so that sex relieves stress? Tried it, too tedious... Wish it was as simple, but I'd rather not have three seperate versions floating around... Suggestion: eating food lowers stress to! Could be, but I believe food doesn't work like chems do. Chems provide a temporal buff, which can be checked and tracked and used as a condition to reduce stress. Food, however, does not have such a buff and for food to reduce stress I would have to add an effect to every food item which (aside from being tedious and time consuming) could cause serious conflicts. So... no can do Of course, the above statements only apply so long as noone posts a way in which this can be easily implemented without the need to alter any vanilla assets.

Now someone will post some script that will add this to the character on the fly.. Anytime now.. Anytime.

Perhaps "Stress Bar". From the scientist from Vault Tech... ? With all the essential vitamins and mineral and natural herbs to help you combat stress. Maybe not food(s) but perhaps the above might fit the bill. Give something else to help keep the stress down and not be complex to implement. Short of a new entry and a world model. (so ti can be found sitting somewhere.. lol). And for Sexout .. it can be a plugin that can be use if desired. (not required) A pill that can be taken before sex to help "enhance" the sensations and increase stress relief. Anything more complex.. perhaps contact Odessa on Sexout thread and see if she might be interested in crating some scripts that might help fit the bill then other mods can plugin to that and your mod wouldn't be so complex. besides there comes a point when it seriously has the possibility of conflicting with other mods. It would be best if ti was in the main framework.
t3589 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I'm pretty sure Spunk has an enjoyment/satisfaction NX you can read from without mastering. Would fit nicely as metering for stress relief during sex.
Guest Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Of course, the above statements only apply so long as noone posts a way in which this can be easily implemented without the need to alter any vanilla assets. There are at least 2 ways I could think to script that. One, I did it few months ago for a mod, but never had the time to test it properly. The second probably is easier but requires JIP NVSE. Maybe it could deserve uploading the script as separated ESP if some people have a need like that, so more mods could use the same function without cluttering the game with extra scripts that do the same thing over and over. What do you think?

What do you think? If you can forward me the script in a message, I can look into it. Still, I believe it's best to have mods check gor those things independantly, otherwise people may have to install a fresh esp for just obe mod, and cluttering is something nobody really wants.
forgetful hatter Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I can already imagine how hard it must be to keep a gun steady with massive stress riding on your shoulders.
