Duck Lick Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I recently downloaded bijin warmaidens but i dislike their skin texture. I use Fair Skin Complexion and i want to know if there's a way to change the followers skin texture to the one of my preference
sila Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 If the follower uses a seperate set of meshes/textures you just need to go into the folder for that character and paste them there, should work just fine. Â If the follower mod packed the meshes and textures into a .bsa, it would be a little more complicated. Â Edit: im downloading the mod now to see the file structure, 2 minutes

Mod Organizer can do that?    I have been using it for ages and did not know that  I had been using a seperate software to unpack .bsa files Ok, you need to copy your meshes/textures into  Meshes/actors/character/adelaisa(and any other followers you want to modify)  And Textures/actors/character/adelaisa(and any other followers you want to modify)

Mod Organizer may be good, but all can he not! This only works manually.
Mord Sif Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I do this with Bijin Warmaidens and Bijin Wives and it works well - just do what sila said. The only thing to be careful of is when you're only changing their textures be sure to use ones compatible with their body meshes. It's unlikely you'll be using the wrong ones - if you use UNP in your game, for example, you're likely to have downloaded the UNP version of the mod after all - but CBBE-based textures won't look great on UNP-based bodies and vice versa.

but not forgotten, the face textures with to replace! else produces a neck seam.
gvman3670 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Mod Organizer may be good, but all can he not! This only works manually. Not true. Go to <where MO is installed>/Mod Organizer/mods/<mod containing the follower>/ and you can change the texture and meshes right there. Also, if you mess up, just tell MO to reinstall the mod and it'll be returned to the way it was in a second or two. Â MO kicks ass.

I removed it again and make everything dear manually.
Duck Lick Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 so i did everything correctly and replaced meshes and textures but then when i went in game there was a huge fps drop that made the game barely playable. Is it normal for that to happen or did i mess something up?
gvman3670 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 The more people there are with HDT physics running and using hi-rez textures the more it's going to effect performance. Sad but true.
