vram1974 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I was looking through the "show your character" threads and noticed some really great presets for skin. I always focus on landscape and color but I haven't found too many presets that make the skin really pop nicely... until I looked in LL's screenshot collection. Hoping to try something that makes skin look like this (Not my screenshot!): Share your favs!
Antrox Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Unless you want your skyrim looking extremely dark, or want to take time to learn ENB settings to get that kind of result. I think it would be hard to find one that has color. But regardless, Bleak ENB is the way to go to that kind of result. There are others too you just got to dig deep within the web to find them.

But regardless, Bleak ENB is the way to go to that kind of result. It's not necessarily that I want that color I just want to find a preset that doesn't make specular maps (is that the right word?) so reflective so the skin is blown out. I'd like to see lots of texture on the skin so I don't mind going into darker sepia tones if I have to, even though I like more saturation and vibrance. I just tried Poupouri ENB but it didn't work for me. What's the different between Bleak and Unbleak ENB? Trying to decide which to install first.

If you want something even darker then Bleak then Noir ENB is the darkest of any ENB i've seen.
Minoumimi Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 For characters you should modify your meshes in nifskope to play around the gloss and specular levels and other settings and not do it Via ENB If not you will end up with glossy walls or too bright too dark like my glossy skin ENB Which i never use anymore since i made Oily Bodies because Oily walls and hairs was silly on the pic you show it looks like he simply uses a sweaty texture along with i would say maybe 1000 gloss and 50 specular on his mesh i normally use 3000 gloss 300 spec for exaggerated light effect

The body just looks like some sweaty spec map
Minoumimi Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 he wants to have a skin similar to the picture, and any enb who would do this to the skin would do the same to walls, hairs grass every single mesh in the game so since he wants a Skin texture look thats the way to go

It never works.
Minoumimi Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 of course not, but all enb almost looks the same with minor preset tweakings, just has to focus on one that makes the entire game look good that he likes then tweak character mesh to achieve the end result he wants and why are you even arguing with me, im helping Him not you if he doesn't wanna do it let him decide, im just giving idea's
gvman3670 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I've also edited gloss and specs in NifSkope to get the effect I wanted. And that's even using SweetFX instead of ENB. It's an available option for the OP.

I'm doing the same thing you are, just giving suggestions and some ideas.

It never works. I'm too much of a moron to do it anyway. lol I tried Bleak ENB. Holy shit. No wonder people use it. I have NEVER gotten 60 fps on an ENB. And I can actually turn the camera without stutter. And I can even use depth of field. CRAZY! Going to see what Unbleak is like.

Some if not most ENBs have there own SweetFX, which usually does the job. he wants to have a skin similar to the picture, and any enb who would do this to the skin would do the same to walls, hairs grass every single mesh in the game so since he wants a Skin texture look thats the way to go He can't just edit the skin mesh and expect good results without an ENB. Unbleak is also high performance but the sweat maps look pretty bad and the skin is a little blown out in the sunlight. Think I prefer Bleak. Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm loving the Bleak preset but you were right about it being crazy dark. Night time is impossible to navigate. Any ideas for this? Do increase the ambient lighting in the enbseries.ini?

I just increased the radius in TES5Edit so we'll see how it goes. Loving the bleak look on skin textures:
