fakelake Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Greetings! I'm expecting to get a decent gaming computer in a few days time, which opens up a lot of games for me to start enjoying, one of which is Skyrim. I'm going to play it for the first time and I thought I'd play it modded from the get go, after playing Oblivion on mods I can't fathom playing this game Vanilla. Now, the amount of mods out for this game is both delightful and scary, the thing in particular that bothers me is to know which body mods I should get that would give me the most out of the lovers mods. Could I get some recommendations? I generally prefer to mod my game "realistically" (no giant breasts) with all the mechanics I can add that won't break the game. Physics (whatever that is, I see a whole section for HDT Physics) Body Models (That would go well with the above physics, if any would do then just general recommendation) Skins (Also, would these skins not work with some of the mods here?) Something along the lines of "Break Armor" with appropriate replacement armor. Any other graphical modifications in regards to characters (ex: Beautification skins) I hope I do not sound lazy, but I figured I could speed up the modding process without having to read through 1,300 mods. I would really appreciate the help, I was hoping that my request would be something that could be answered without taking much of your time. Thank you in advance. Side question I just found: Would this mod be inadvisable for use in conjunction with lovers mods? (Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul) Though I could probably figure it out once I start modding.
Qrow- Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 -------Body------ I personally use a Cbbe body and use PlayerSuccubusQuest (PSQ) to change to a UNP/7Base body for clothing mods so there are no mismatched textures. Skins depend on your personal preferences, Fair Skin is pretty popular I recommend body slide so you can change the body to your preferences, UUNP for a UNP/7Base body (already in bodyslide and has physics), and CLAMS of Skyrim for CBBE Body and Textures should be compatible with every mod --------Physics------------ A Skeleton is required for physics, the best one is XPSME by Groovtama Also you will need the HDTPhysics extension for Physics
GSBmodders Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 just use cbhbppbcp and you'll be fine, kidding really. UNP is the best looking but it's high poly so if your box is lacking as a beast machine your going to want cbbe.
Taven Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I use UNPB, as it seems if you want armor to be fitted for your body mod, you either use that, SevenBase(7B), or CBBE, as on the nexus(The only place I know of to get skyrim mods) those three body mods are the only one's getting conversions of armor or clothing that fit those bodies, And sometimes even some custom clothing and such. Now, for texture mods, if you're going to play as a khajiit or argonian, you'll notice that the bodies for them are..lacking. So, the best one I'd suggest is the Feminine Khajiit/Argonian Textures on the Nexus by MONSTERaider. IMHO, those textures are the best for the beast races to date, and you can even use the textures for some of those custom beast races out there without a texture mod to call their own, like the Vaalsark. Although for the Vaalsark, I use Less Furry Khajiit textures on them. Remember to use the right texture for the right body mod, or the nipples, belly button, or even pussy will be in the wrong place.(Use UNP textures for UNP/UNPB body mod, ect., ect.) Although, as a tip, some UNP textures can be used with the 7B body mod, It's something about UNP and 7B being in the same body mod 'family'. Hopefully this isn't too confusing. xD
Mud Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Well, as a beginner, you might want to look into using Bodyslide to output a CBBE or UUNP (Unified UNP) body to your liking. Body mods are of little purpose unless you have armor to go with them, and it so happens that both CBBE and UUNP have their respective versions of the Remodeled Armor skimpy vanilla armor, which means you can fit skimpy versions of all vanilla gear onto your desired body. Unfortunately, attempts to create breakable armor have all ceased soon after taking up the torch, to my knowledge, but there's more UNP pieces so that'd be the way to go.
Kinky Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Yeah what Mud said. First of all install Racemenu. Ignore all those ppl mentioning unp cbbe or whatever body shapes. Those are old school things without physics or old physics. Install bodyslide and make your own in one click also install tri files for unp so you can use bodymorph in racemenu. I recommend uunp part of bodyslide coz you will find mods like tiwa's minidresses nice replacer for clothes. I think there are already mods for bodyslide uunp that replace armors as well. For skin choose fair skin complection or sg or mature whatever you prefer. then only thing remaining is to install hdt physics extension... and that's it.
Serithi Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Bodyslide something with UUNP Special. Done. You got full HDT support and HDT vagina ('tis Stevierage's 7B vagina, if you're familiar with that), superior weighting, uses the same base shape and sliders as CBBE's Bodyslide stuff so it's easy enough to convert CBBE stuff in OS, plus every single major UNP preset on their own sliders if you just want one of them with the UUNP awesomeness rather than a fully custom body.
bahamut2119 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Also agreed on the body mesh with bodyslide in my mind other than citrus body (found on these forums) there is 0 reason to ever install any premade body's anymore whether it be cbbe or uunp bodyslide it only matters what armor you like the most theres plenty of options for both and many atleast newer ones are compatible with both just have different downloads for them. One of the few things you have to know is a cbbe armor isn't compatible with unp/7b and visa versa but unp/7b armors do work right on any unp/7b body they just won't look 100% right with the body shape but you wont have uv map issues and clipping. I should also mention lady body/demonica is another good body mesh but it has no physics there are a few patches around I think but there not done by Krista to my knowledge.I have personally only tried lady body once it looks good but there just ain't enough armors for me to be interested in either.
Gnarl Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I am using CBBE hdt, mature skin and hdt of course. Its pretty easy creating a body with bodyslide, so I would stick with cbbe.
Serithi Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I am using CBBE hdt, mature skin and hdt of course. Its pretty easy creating a body with bodyslide, so I would stick with cbbe. I say this as a former hardcore CBBE-er, UUNP's the way to go. I use Mature Skin as well, and it's of course got UNP and 7B versions (which are basically the same thing, to my knowledge), plus UUNP has better weighting (ever used Halo's poser (or really any pose mod) with CBBE, and used poses with raised arms? Notice the breasts deform weirdly? Doesn't happen with UUNP), UV's applied better (far less texture stretching), UUNP Special includes the HDT vagina, so on and so forth... plus again, it has every slider CBBE has so remaking your body is a breeze (even if you gotta just open up two instances of BS with your old CBBE preset on the second instance, so you can crosscheck the slider values and copy them over manually), plus it has every major UNP preset on their own sliders. CBBE really can't compare any more, and again i say that as a former hardcore CBBE-er .

For physics you just had to use a HDT body is all and then install all the requirements. For a body I recommend Body Slider 2 or Citrus here on LL. Body Slider you can choose CBBE or UNP bodies. Citrus only has UNP and it still a WiP but I think it will be better in the long run. Both support HDT. Skins it comes down to a matter of personal preference. I personally like Fair Skin. For break armor, I recommend Loot and Degradation I believe it is called on Nexus. As for other mods Racemenu with the above body mods to add more sliders along with Citrus head for more morph options there. There is a lot of tattoo and warpaint mods again a matter of taste on which ones you want but you can load as many as you want and pick and choose in game to use the ones you want. There is a ton of lip, makeup, hair, eyebrow, eye mods as well. Again it comes down to personal taste. You will get a ton of different suggests based on what the poster likes. I have not used the Immersive Citizens yet but plan too. As far as I know it shouldn't cause problems with most mods on LL. The only ones I could see it maybe having issues with are the ones that change default AI, even those I am not sure it will if the LL mod is lower in the load order.
gvman3670 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 If you're new to this BodySlide may seem a bit daunting to be honest. And with the newest skeletons and Race Menu you can really, really adjust the appearance of any body you use, almost to the point that BS isn't necessary. For example, using UNP HDT-PE I can go from flat chested and bone thin to far more curvy and voluptuous than any real woman could ever be. And it's got physics, although no working vagina as far as I know. If I was just starting out I'd go with something UNPB. It has all HDT physics and can be pregnancy scaled as well, it has a TON of armor and clothing/jewelry conversions available for it, there are tons of nice texture sets for it and so on and so forth. It makes installation and use very simple, or at least as simple as it can be.
fakelake Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Oh my, thank you all for the comments, certainly more than I expected! This gives me a good starting point, and hopefully to any other would be beginner, I'll go through them once I can. Question about HDT Body and CITRUS, are they both doing the same thing? On the HDT body page it says that support is dropped, and that the author went on to work on CITRUS but I'm not sure if its meant as a replacement.
bahamut2119 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 The hdt body you're asking about is dead Citrus is a completely new body he did. Its basicly a unp body but made completely from scratch and can be shaped in game to look like any other body out there. If you go to use it be warned theres next to 0 armors made to support it tmk still however any unp, unpb, 7b, un7b, ect, ect, ect will work for it.

On the HDT body page it says that support is dropped, and that the author went on to work on CITRUS but I'm not sure if its meant as a replacement. There is several HDT bodies. I believe the Blabba had a HDT body here but has since moved on to create his own body used in his new Citrus mod which lets you change how the body looks with sliders using Racemenu. But if you want a simple HDT body there is a lot of them around. Depends if you want to use a base CBBE or UNP body. I would recommend checking out images of both and decide which one you like better. You will find some people like one or the other and it comes down to a matter of taste. I personally like and use UNP bodies. Right now I am using the new Citrus body with the sliders so I can make the body exactly how I want it.
dobmc Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 "overwhelmed" Not if you know which to focus on. There are two kinds of body mods: The ones that are being supported today, and the ones that were left for dead during the milestone of modding. There are body types that are have been unsupported for a long time and are practically pointless to install now, despite how much support it had before. If you want the kewl knew teks Skyrim modding can offer, it's best to ignore the following: CHSBHC (v3-T and default alike especially considering the poly-count is shit-tier even compared to CBBE) Manga ADEC UNPK Now the ones that are worth laying your eyes on are, UNP and it's variants such as 7B, as well as Unified UNP. Perhaps UNPC also. CBBE Bodyslide Additionally words like 'BBP' and even 'TBBP' are something to care less about when compared to HDT, for obvious reasons. If you're wondering about HDT-SMP, you don't need care about it, at least for now. The basic HDT-PE or commonly just called HDT (not to mistaken with HDT High-heels) is the standard currently.
Gnarl Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Could someone explain how to install uunp? I cant find any instructions.
ousnius Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Could someone explain how to install uunp? I cant find any instructions. UUNP comes with the main BodySlide download on the Nexus as an installer option. It's the same as CBBE BodySlide, you just select the other body/feet/hands instead and build them.
