marcinsgp Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I found out lately they added legendary difficulty so I turned it on. Sadly I can't kill any dragon on it. My char info: 47lvl vampire breton 260hp / 250mana / 250stamina Fighting style: 1 hand sword 712dmg + illusion/restoration/destruction 25% racial magic res + 25% lord stone. Am I too weak or I set legendary too early?
swmas Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Never set Legendary difficulty it literally just wastes your time. The only thing that changes it's the damage dealt\received output, which ultimately causes two things: you take ages to kill something or you die and have to keep reloading saves.
marcinsgp Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 But I want a challenge. Everything on master dies literally in 1-2 hits
DammitPotato Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Get deadly combat and Revenge of the enemies if you dont already have them. If you do, maybe you should get SkyTweak so you can change how much damage you do or how much damage you take
swmas Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 But I want a challenge. Everything on master dies literally in 1-2 hits Well if you want to take on dragons on Legendary you need a specific armor setup for each dragon type. Armor with magic regen(or a lot of healing potions) and elemental resistance for their breath weapon, a shield is mandatory and a spell or weapon with an enchantment that the dragon is weak to, heal spell when necessary. You can't die, it just take ages to kill the dragon, if you're in a town good luck saving the NPC's there. What I do for a challenge is play on Expert with no smithing and enchanting. Makes me look forward for that random enchanted gear I loot instead of selling everything.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Playing on difficult setts require different tactics... cap your alchemy to stock up on potions cap your archery if you plan to play it as main or sub, but rack up on ammo cap your enchantment and blacksmith to further improve armor defense and magical stats on armor resistance in armor and potion play a big role against strong enemies. Especially with high HP Alteration magic to cap your physical and magical resistance when using spells like stoneflesh or better ones. If you are going to go on a suicide you'll need to stack up on potions. As a vampire, your HP needs to be higher. I wouldn't worry so much on stamina. Health and Magicka are a vampires best friend. Against fire breathing dragons, well, if it's elder (or ancient... forget which one goes before the other) and it's fire breather with that amount of HP, you are in for a one breath death kill. Plus, as a vampire most mages will cast fire upon you so you'll want to have fire resistance in either gear but mainly in potions. Sleep during the day, fight and night to increase your strength overall. You just need to play it more safe and rethink your tactics instead of going commando on enemies with very high health pool. But as I said, to me as a vampire I think your HP needs to be much higher and less in stamina. You might want to use Better Vampire mod if you don't already have it.
afa Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Since you are already vampire and have invested in restoration this might not take that long. Get Necromage perk. Ideally you want to get the perk before you become a vampire not sure if you did that already. You can always get cure, get the perk, then get Serana to bite you. With Necromage perk and while a vampire, level Alteration to 100 to get Atronach perk, then go to to the Atronach stone and make that your standing stone. magic regen penalty could be troublesome without enchantments, but now you are basically immune to magic. Get smithing up to the point you max armor and then buff your weapon as much as you can with whatever enchanting/alchemy/smithing you have.
vram1974 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Go back to Master and install Deadly Dragons and Dragon Combat Overhaul
