Thorrik Gunriksson Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 just to put my two cents in here, but i highly recommend the GTX 980 graphics cards, works rather well
chevyowner Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 so SSD is for quicker loading? So it's just a better HDD? eh computers, never get them. Like teaching a blind man to play guitar hero. Yes, and no. I'll use GTAV as it is a great example for this. The game loads the same speed from both my HDD, and my SSD. However the game runs smoother when using the SSD because when driving or flying and a texture has to be loaded the faster that texture is loaded the less you notice it in game. EDIT Currently GTAV is 61GB installed.
VampireCorvus Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I love PC's, I really do. I'm on one now (obviously) and play Skyrim on it and some other multiplayer games. But BOY is it refreshing to switch a Wii U on and just play, especially after reading this thread lol xD I mean my PC used to make a shit ton of noise for no reason and now for the passed few months it's as quiet as anything... fucking PC's man lol. *Whispers* I still wanna upgrade mine too though. I don't really hate it, honest Would be nice if my WII U worked that way. When I turn it on to play a game it always updates something, and takes 30-60 minutes to do it. Then after waiting 30 minutes I don't really want to play that game anymore, and turn it off again. Mine has never taken that long to update... Also, when the light on the Wii U turns orange while it's off, it means it's updating something. So it should be ready when you turn it on anyway.
Darkening Demise Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 OK so since I have major concerns with my hard drive data could I just take it out of my current PC and put it into my new one when it happens? I don't know how else I'm transferring 400GB+ of data.

nutluck Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Replying in red to each part So how would I use two HDD? There is just a second HDD in there, you can access it by going to my computer. This is where you see the HDD, DVD drive etc located, it will just list a second HDD. Also is the OS on the HDD or another part of the PC? There can be one on either HDD but typically it is on your primary drive aka C drive aka the default one that came with the computer and the second one is just a backup drive. You can boot from your second drive if it has a OS on it, but you have to change the boot order in the BIOS. Will my HDD work with a new PC do I have to choose certain parts? As long as the connectors are the same, and your old one has sata connectors and that is what all the newer ones use. It is like plugging a USB cable in, Some are faster than others but they all plug into one another. Will it fry if I don't install it right into the new PC? No it just won't work. How does one even put in a HDD? They are very simple, there is 4 screws and 2 cables you have to connect. There is plenty of video's and pages that show you step by step how to install one. It is one the easiest things in a PC to add. I don't get it, what's different about these? Ram like most computer parts have two important numbers, size and speed. 8gig would be the size. DDR3-1600 is the speed, the higher the numbers the faster the ram. I'm going with 16GB though the motherboard seems to support up to 32GB ram. There really isn't much that will use more than 16gig of ram as for video games. There might be a few games that will out there. But most games are made for consoles which means most games are designed to use 8gig of Ram which is the currently amount of ram new consoles have. Now on a PC you have a more robust OS which takes more ram, so most games will use up 10gig of ram, 8 gig for the ram and 1.5gig for the OS.
chris060713 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I have just Installed an MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G and the Graphics are Superb..I don't use Overclock Mode for Skyrim, rather Just the Gaming Mode..My PC Arrived with 16GB RAM and I have Updated to 32 GB RAM,it also has an i7-4790 CPU/750W PSU..It has 2 Blue LED Fans on the Front Panel and I Changed the Rear Chassis Fan from Standard to a Blue LED Type..I am Now Considering 2 Further LED fans on the Top Panel, most Likely in Blue to Match the Rest..The MSI Card Lights up Red..All this Coupled to an Isku Rockat Multicolour Gaming Keyboard/Isku XTD Illuminated Gaming Mouse and a Corsair Wireless Gaming Headset....I also have my Gaming PC,connected to a Samsung 40" 4K TV....
